BIBLICAL HEBREW CALENDAR AND FEASTS OF YHVH

Each year begins at the new moon after the barley is aviv in Jerusalem.
Each month begins when the new moon is seen in Jerusalem.
Each Sabbath begins at sundown on Friday.

(Aviv) 15-21 - Passover eaten, Feast of Unleavened Bread
15th and 21st are high Sabbaths--no servile work
Firstfruits - first day after weekly Sabbath

3 Sivan May-Jun Pentecost (Shavuot) - first day after 7 Sabbaths

notes:
The Biblical month will last 29 or 30 days. If the moon is not seen
on the 29th day the new month will start the next day.
If the barley is not aviv by the end of Adar there will be a 13th month.
Aviv barley is mature enough to be parched in fire and eaten.

The year 1967 or 5967 is believed to have been a Jubilee year.
If this is so, and the year of Jubilee is the first year of the next cycle,
then the 2008 and 2015 would be Sabbath years, and 2016 will be a Jubilee.
