Our second wellness challenge of the school year supports the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Each year our school participates in the National ‘Jump Rope for
Heart’ campaign as well as the Heart Healthy Schools program. Both are geared towards promoting healthy eating and physical activity while promoting the
goals of the Heart and Stroke foundation. Our challenge will run from January 18th to February 27th and will focus on a different component each week. These
challenges include: on-screen time, healthy eating, water consumption and jump rope games & fitness skills.
From there simply print off the log sheet and use it to track your progress (either individually or as a family). Return the form after March Break to receive your
certificate of participation. For students who are in Grade 3-5, this challenge is counted towards your end-of-year NMS Stripes points.
