Calvin Daniels just amazing use of a card deck, although custom printed ones are
(Talisinbear)
better.

(D Beau) Sort of the Super Saiyan version of Hey, That's My Fish!. With every
play, I better appreciate the brilliant simplicity of its design.

Pablo Schulman Funny you say that's the super sayan version of HtMF. For me, that would be the opposite. But that's
(PSchulman)
one of the cases were the original is better than the latter.

Charles Ward
(ex1st)
A short abstract strategy game for 1 or 2 players, designed in
Japan by Charles Ward from EX1ST GAMES, with artwork by
Andres Agostini.
STORY
During the Sengoku period (1467 -1615) many Japanese clans
controlled territories by military force, alliances and treachery.
Smaller clans became absorbed by larger ones, until eventually
Japan was unified, and governed by a new Shogun.
One of these small clans was the Sanada Clan, whose leaders
proved to be great warriors and strategists. The most famous and
fierce of which was Sanada Yukimura (1567-1615). See cover image.
This game outlines the history of the Sanada Clan in 5 acts. Each
act offers a simple variant on the 2 Player Game and the Solitaire
Game is explained in the Epilogue. Please enjoy this carefully
crafted and historically accurate rule book.
GAMEPLAY
It reminds me of tic-tac-toe in its simplicity, but aslo Tak because
you can cover and move pieces, and Shogi in that you can play
pieces after they have been defeated. It's simple, but not easy. You
actions are Place, Move, Fight, Surprise. The last one has you
reconfigure the board to try to get a win. You win by getting 3 in a
Row, 3 in a Stack, or by Submission .
