• The current NSL environment is fundamentally different from Oct, Nov 2020. It’s far more
stringent and taxing.
• The mere fact that those wordings appeared on the screen (see the clips below) and the
ethos expressed (e.g., the first 4-min talked about forceful approach is inevitable) will
invite the undesirable attention of opposition party and law enforcement agencies.
• If going ahead, this will be the first public screening in the latest NSL environment. Doing
it three times as a public event at HKU will expose HKUSU, the organiser to extremely high
risk. Everyone must appreciate and accept the consequences of their words and actions.
What it takes is one person reporting to police and/or NSL unit.

The strongest possible pieces of advice:

1. Please seek professional legal advice over the screening.
2. Would you please do what you can to mitigate the potential legal risks and repercussions. Please.
3. We are available and eager to meet again; over the weekend is fine to us.
