does not need to register in order to book or search. You can complete the online booking process, and next time

Each airline has different cancellation charges. They are mentioned on the booking page at the time of making reservation.
Check the Fare Rules for the booking to get complete information about the airline¶s cancellation policy. Over and above the
airlines cancellation charges, Yatra charges Rs. 310 as standard cancellation charges for bookings cancelled through our
call center. For the first time in India, Yatra has also launched online cancellation of domestic flight bookings. If you choose
to cancel a flight booking online, the standard cancellation charge will be only Rs. 200.

Flight bookings made on Yatra can be cancelled online or offline.

Offline Cancellation: You can cancel flight bookings by calling our 24x7 Customer care number at 0987 1800 800 (From All
Networks). For cancellations made via the call center, standard cancellation charges of Rs. 310 will apply over and above
the airlines own cancellation charges.

Online Cancellation: For the first time in India, Yatra has introduced online cancellation of domestic flight bookings. To
cancel any domestic flight booking (except Paramount and GoAir ) and if the travel is more than 24 hours away, log into the
My Bookings section from the Yatra.com homepage. Then, click the Flight Bookings links from the left menu, this will
display your complete booking history with Yatra.com. Click the Yatra Reference Number for the booking you wish to cancel
and click the Cancel Flight tab. You will be asked to review and confirm the details before final cancellation. Online
cancellation will be processed within 12 hours. For cancellations made online, standard cancellation charges of Rs. 200 will
apply over and above the airlines own cancellation charges.

An e-Ticket (electronic ticket) is a paperless electronic document with a unique confirmation number given to passengers in
place of a paper ticket. Passengers are required to produce the unique confirmation number at the airport airline counter
when checking in for the flight.

It is not mandatory to show your e-ticket confirmation email. In case you are not carrying the e-ticket confirmation email, you
will need to show a photographic proof of identity (passport, driver¶s license etc.) at the airport check-in counter of the airline.
However, it is advisable that you carry your e-ticket confirmation email and your e-ticket number.

If your paper airline tickets are lost or stolen, please email us immediately. We will help you in processing a lost ticket
application. In most cases, the airlines require you to purchase replacement tickets at ³today¶s´ fare i.e. current fares. Our
travel specialist will facilitate the sale of these tickets. If your original tickets are not used after a designated period of time,
usually 3 to 4 months, depending on the airline²you will receive a credit for the purchase price of the replacement tickets,
after deducting the application fee. This fee varies by airline. Please note that these policies and fees are subject to change
at any time. Our travel specialist will be able to provide the most recent information for your airline. Each airline has its own
rules and policies for issuing replacement tickets. Yatra is bound by these rules and policies and must adhere to them.

Booking a train ticket on our site is easy. All you have to do is enter the name of the cities you are traveling from and to,
specify your travel date and class, and the number of passengers you want to make a booking for. Click the Find Trains
button, and a list of all available trains for that date and class will be displayed. Select the train that suits you after checking
its availability and click Book. Then, just follow the instructions on the next few steps and complete your booking. It really is

For ease of use of our customers we have enabled an automatic look-up facility. To search for trains starting from a
particular city just enter the first three letters of that city or its station code and a complete list of all stations in that city will be
displayed. You can then choose a particular station or all stations and begin your search.
To search for trains, you can even search by entering just the three- or four-letter station code. For example, for Mumbai
Central you can search by entering BCT.

There are essentially seven types of seating available in Indian Railways. These are:
- AC First Class (1A): This is the most expensive ticket. Passengers are seated in two- or four-berthed private
compartments, which are air-conditioned and spacious.
- AC 2 Tier (2A): Passengers are seated in air-conditioned carriages that are split into two- or four-berthed compartments
that are separated by curtains.
- AC 3 Tier (3A): Air-conditioned seating in three-tiered compartments.
- First Class (FC): Passengers are seated in two- or four-berthed private, non-air conditioned compartments, which are
spacious and suited for overnight journeys.
- AC Chair Car (CC): Air-conditioned seating with reclining seats. It is available in most inter-city expresses trains such as
Shatabdi.
- Sleeper (SL): Similar to AC 3 Tier, but without air conditioning.
- Second Seating (2S): Non-air conditioned seating accommodation on bench-styled seats.
When you search for trains, you must select a class. However, from our search results page you can just click on the tab for
a different seating type and see the list of trains for that.

Yatra.com allows you to search for trains between two cities. However, it is possible a city may have more than one station.
In such cases it is important for us to reconfirm your departure and destination stations in order to complete the booking.

There are three possible options for you to check for availability for a different set of dates. First, use the Modify Your Search
option and run a fresh search. Second is to use the Previous Day/Next Day links from the search results box. Using this, you
can check the availability for the next or previous six days. However, the easiest way to check availability would be to use
the Next 5 Dates link below the availability status. The seat availability for the next 5 scheduled departure dates for that train
will be displayed on the screen. You can make your selection right there and continue with the booking process.

The Transaction Fee is what the banks or credit card companies charge for each online transaction. It is a percentage of the

Broadly, the fare components of a ticket can be explained as:
- Base fare: This is the basic fare of any train ticket. Children and senior women are charged 50% of the adult base fare.
Senior men are charged 70% of the base fare.
- Railway charges: These include reservation and superfast fee, concession and other charges as specified by Indain
Railways.
- Tatkal Charges: As specified by Indian Railways.
- IRCTC Charges: This includes IRCTC service charges.
- Yatra Charges: We charge a service fee of Rs 10 for non±AC classes and Rs 20 for AC classes.
- Transaction fee: Transaction fee is 1.8% of the total of the above charges.

Cancellation of Online Train Bookings

Online cancellation of train bookings is possible through the My Bookings section. Just follow these steps:
- Log in to the My Bookings section
- From the left menu, select the Train Bookings option
- Select the trip you want to cancel by clicking the Yatra Reference Number
- Click the Cancel Ticket button
- Select the passengers for whom you want to cancel the reservation
- Click the Confirm button to complete the process
Your ticket will be cancelled within minutes and the status will be updated in My Bookings. The amount, after the relevant
fee deductions will be processed and credited to your account within the next few days.

If you missed your train, then the cancellation of ticket is possible. In this case, you can cancel a confirmed ticket as per the
following rules:
- Till 3 hours after the train¶s departure if the ticket was for a distance of 200 kilometers

- Till 12 hours after the train¶s departure if the ticket is for a distance of more than 500 kilometers.
You will have to send an email to etickets@irctc.co.in with the relevant details: PNR Number, trip ID, transaction ID and

In case you miss the train, the ticket will be processed as a µno-show¶. In such cases, if you send your request for
cancellation within 30 days from the date of journey, 50% of the base fare will be refunded to you. However, if you request

The amendments in passenger name is possible only if any of the blood relative wants to travel in place of booked
passenger that can be made by approaching the nearest railway reservation counter with your e±ticket printout and valid

Changing or amending a passenger¶s age after an e-ticket has been booked is not possible. However, if the difference in
age is not much the ticket checker in the train may still allow you to travel. But if you decide to risk it, remember to carry a
proof of identity with you.

E-tickets cannot be changed or amended online. Indian Railways allows passengers to change only the boarding station and
passenger name, and such changes are allowed only once. These changes can be done at a major railway reservation
center, where you can request the concerned authority to make the change. Remember to carry a copy of your e-ticket and
photo identity proof with you.

Tatkal Reservation Rules


As announced by Hon'ble Minister of Railways while presenting Railway Budget 2009-10 in the parliament on 03-07-2009, it has
been decided to reduce Tatkal Charges as given below:
The Tatkal Charges have been fixed as a percentage of fare at the rate of 10% of basic fare for second class and 30% of basic fare for
all other classes subject to minimum and maximum as given in the table below:

The above charges will be levied uniformly both in peak period & non-peak periods.

Tatkal tickets will be issued for actual distance of travel, instead of end-to-end, subject to the distance restriction applicable to the
train. The same Tatkal berth/seat may be booked in multiple legs till preparation of charts. At the time of preparation of charts,
unutilized portion may be released to the General RAC/Waiting list passengers.

Tatkal facility will be introduced in Executive Class of Shatabadi Express trains also, by earmarking 10% of the accommodation
available i.e. 5 seats per coach.

Tatkal booking opens at 8 AM on Two days in advance actual date of journey excluding date of journey w.e.f. of 01-08-2009, e.g. for
train leaving on 6th, Tatkal Booking will Commence at 8 AM on 4th.

No identity proof is required to be produced by the passenger seeking reservation under tatkal scheme neither at the time of booking
nor during the journey.

The facility of change of name is not permitted on the bookings made under Tatkal scheme.

For the purpose of granting refunds & issuing TDRs for W/L, the time limit will be the same as applicable for refund of normal
tickets.

REFUNDS - A flat refund of 25% of total fare charged on the ticket, excluding tatkal charge is granted on cancellation of tatkal
ticket, which is presented for cancellation upto 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train. However, full refund of fare and
tatkal charges will be granted on the tickets booked under Tatkal scheme in the following circumstances :

- If the train is delayed by more than 3 hours at the journey originating point of the passenger & not the boarding point if the
passenger's journey originating point and boarding point are different.
-
If the train is to run on a diverted route and passenger is not willing to travel.
-
If the train is to run on diverted route and boarding station or the destination or both the stations are not on the diverted route.
- In case of non attachment of coach in which Tatkal accommodation has been earmarked and the passenger has not been provided
accommodation in the same class.
- If the party has been accommodated in lower class and does not want to travel. In case the party travels in lower class, the
passenger will be given refund of difference of fare and also the difference of Tatkal charges, if any.
