Summary of Strengths and Areas of Possible Growth

Strengths include:
Self-Assessment of Teacher Leader Qualities (adapted from Teacher Leader Model Standards (http://www.teacherleaderstandards.org/) 4
Having a close relationship with the athletic department. We communicate regularly and very openly to support and strengthen
not only our team but our teaching. Our school’s SST protocol is also efficient. When I notice, there is a specific/special need
that a student needs I communicate with the SST team. We schedule an appointment with the parents to figure out how to
properly meet that students need. I make use of the California Association for Health, P.E., Dance and Recreation regularly for
materials my classes need or events I wish to attend.

Possible Growth:

My hope is to further develop my skillsets with the athletic department and specifically the high school team. As the only K-8 th
grade P.E. and Health teacher I feel there would be a lot to gain and learn from them. I would like to attend more professional
developments. I also want to have my students connect with other students in their community and possibly around the country
as we are all much more isolated than ever. I want to engage more in community events outside of school (probably on Zoom)
to build a better relationship with my student’s families. Finally, it would be wonderful to build a resource list for my kids and
their parents regarding physical fitness resources that they could use.
