4. Measure and mark the exact center of the bumper
cover (where shown) using a grease pencil or marker.

7. Apply masking tape to the headlights as shown. This is
the area needed to be painted black prior to grille
installation.
8. Use a scotch brite pad to scuff the inside edge and
approx. 1/8” of the front of the lense for proper paint
adhesion.
9. Using semi-gloss or flat black paint, carefully paint the
edges of the headlights and everthing inside the grille
opening that is not black, including the bumper cover
inside the lower mounting pin hole slots on vehicles
painted colors other than black or dark blue.

10. Thoroughly tape around the painted bumper opening
using several layers of masking tape. Measure and mark
the exact center of the bumper cover opening (where
shown) using a grease pencil or marker.

11. Cut out and align the supplied template for the lower 12. Use a .125” (1/8”) drill bit to carefully drill through the
grille lower mounting hole locations against the inside marks made in the plastic bumper opening, then use

ing hole locations (see arrows). Untape the template,
flip it over and mark the holes on the opposite side.

13. Align the lower grille into place and push the center
four (4) lower mounting pins into the holes, starting at
the center pins and work your way to the sides.
14. To seat the outer pins, you must push down and back
on the grille at the same time. Do not allow the top of
the grille to damage the paint around the bumper
opening. Shop Tip: For added paint protection, insert a
thin piece of cardboard or squeegee between the top of
the grille and the painted opening. Once the pin fits
into the mounting hole, push down on the grille to seat
the pin and remove the cardboard.
15. Once the grille is properly centered in the opening, use
the supplied Torx T-10 bit, align the 1/2” no.6 Torx pin
head screws into the holes in the upper mounting
brackets and allow them to self tap through the plastic
bumper cover. DO NO OVERTIGHTEN or you will strip
out the plastic.

16. If reusing the factory emblem: Use a head gun and
apply heat to the back of the emblem recess to soften
the adhesive. Use caution or you will melt the plastic
factory grille and may ruin the emblem. Insert a razor
blade between the emblem and grille recess and lift the
emblem out of the recess (careful, emblem and grille are
hot). Remove any adhesive from the back of the
emblem once it cools.

19. Align the emblem in the approximate location as on the
factory grille and install the black plastic washers, lock
washers and s.s hex nuts and tighten to secure the
emblem to the grille. Make sure that the emblem is per-
fectly level as you are tightening the mounting hard
ware.

17. Install the supplied double faced tape to the emblem
surround and install it onto the emblem mounting
plate.
20. Install the upper grille by first aligning the mounting
pins located across the bottom of the grille into the
holes drilled into the bumper cover in Step .
18. Use the remaining double faced tape the supplied
brushed S. S. “L R” emblem (not shown, or around the
edge of the factory Land Rover emblem and place a dab
of silicone in the center of the factory emblem), peel off
the tape backing, then align the emblem and press it
firmly in place to set the tape. Once the silicone cures,
the emblem will be premanently installed.
21. Lift up on the sides of the top plate to clear the tops of
the headlight assemblies.

22. Use a .125” (1/8” drill bit to mark the hole locations in
the top plate onto the radiator support panel, then
remove the grille.
23. Once the grille is removed, finish drilling through the
aluminum header panel with the .125” (1/8”) drill bit.
Blow out the holes and blow off the aluminum shav-
ings off of the vehicle prior to grille installation.
24. Reinstall the grille and secure it with the supplied #8
black truss head screws. Make sure that the grille is per-
fectly centered before installing the truss head screws.
25. Remove the masking tape and peel off the protective
backing from the mesh and emblem surrounds. Use a
soft cloth and a mild solvent to remove any glue residue
from the protective tape. Use glass cleaner or alcohol to
remove any solvent residue from the grille surround.

WARRANTY INFORMATION:
E&G Classics, Inc. warrants its chrome parts and products to be free from defects in material,
workmanship or finish for Thirty-Six (36) months from the date of shipment by E&G. This war-
ranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at E&G Classics option, of the defective part or
product. To obtain performance under this warranty you must:

1.) Present your E&G unit to an authorized distributor in your area with proof of purchase.
2.) If no distributor is available, contact E&G Classics (address below) for authorization to
return unit.
3.) Returns - All unauthorized returns will be refused. Merchandise approved by E&G for
return must have been purchased within the Thirty-Six (36) months. All returns require
an authorization number obtained from E&G and the actual return must be accompanied
by the written authorization form filled out completely. All merchandise must be inspect
ed upon receipt and shortages reported within 48 hours. All merchandise must be in a
resalable condition. Merchandise must be packed carefully in the original packing. If orig-
inal packing is no longer usable, repack item(s) comparable to original manner. All returns
are subject to a 25% handling charge. Special order items are not returnable. Defective
merchandise must have an explanation of the problem. No credit will be issued unless
invoice number and date of purchase has been supplied. Manufacturer shall be sole
judge of defects in a product.
4.) UPS accounts - All returns must be prepaid. Do not send return shipments freight collect.
Once E&G has made its decision and it is a claim against our warranty policy, E&G will
credit incoming freight on damaged parts.
5.) No discontinued part or parts changed due to body style are returnable.

26. Close the hood and check the grille surround to hood
clearance. Adjust the hood bumpers located on the left
and right sides of the hood until the gap is uniform. If
the grille needs to come forward on either side to keep
it parallel to the edge of the hood, install the supplied
shims between the top plate and the radiator support
panel (see Step 24 for shim locations).
27. Finished installation.

uct immediately upon their receipt and must file a claim with the carrier for any damage dis-
closure by such inspection and notify E&G classics in writing at the above address of any such
damage. This warranty does not extend to any of our products which have been subject to
misuse, neglect, accident or have been altered or repaired in any way. This warranty does not
cover any accidental or consequential damages for any breach of this warranty agreement.
E&G Classics shall have no responsibility for any loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss
or consequential damage, nor shall E&G be liable for any injury or damage to persons or prop-
erty by reason of any defect in material, workmanship or finish of its parts or products. This
warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary
from state to state.
