Handumanan Collections and Souvenirs Shop is a haven of souvenir
items that is uniquely Capizeño and very Filipino. The
souvenir items are pieces of memories about Capiz and Roxas
City. It is the only Souvenirs Shop in Roxas City and Capiz
that offers the widest variety of Filipino souvenir products
brought in from all over the sixteen municipalities of Capiz and
around the Philippines. Because of the unique artistry and
unmatched affordability of the souvenir items, Handumanan
Collections and Souvenirs shop became Roxas City’s number one
Souvenirs and Gift shop. It is the number one and only choice
of souvenir items for local and foreign tourists.

Handumanan Collections and Souvenirs shop acquired a


significant market of souvenirs collector from all over the
globe. Handumanan collections and Souvenirs Shop has clients
from United States of America, Europe, and neighboring Asian
Countries. As Roxas City’s Number One souvenirs Shop, it
continues to lead by pushing for “Hugod Capiz”, a movement which

India Handuman Collectibles and Souvenir Shop is one of


the good market souvenir collections, located at San Roque
Street, Roxas City. The shop was established in 2003 and manages
by Ms. Jay M. Lavapiez and Mrs.India Obera Lavapiez. Now the
IHCSS have a manual operation from their sales and inventory.
IHCSS has 6 personnel for the business which have their own task
to do. IHCSS have also client here local and international.
There unique products from respective suppliers are they
redesign according to the clients need. They also sale
everything inside the Capiz from the handmade wedding gift
items, Filipino native accents and fashion accessories.

with features that will allow users to navigate the database
provide security and storage of the information from the
clients, product promotion ads, will be a great help to the
business.

Overview of the current state of technology

Many highly advanced technology as well highly developed


system exist now a days where in other business operations
involved to the fast growing electronic commerce system, such as
only registration, computerized inventory where both clients and
the owners benefit from the accessibility and the efficiency.

Technology also is a very reliable and useful. It


contributes more high-tech, unique and accurate outputs. This
brings the advantage of such technology. Computer is the one of
the best inventions ever made. It allows people to communicate,

India Handuman Collectibles and Souvenir Shop uses a manual


operation on its daily transaction and business but with the aid
of the advanced technology and machines, efficient operation can
be possible. It started in 2007 with wedding gift items,
accessories in every occasion.

The current state of India Collectibles and Souvenir Shop is


that they have 6 personnel not included the owner, 1 manager,2
sales representative.

Their records are still done manually in terms of their


customer information placed in vouchers and acknowledge receipts
are stored in one place which is not probably secured and not
well organized.

Research Problem

General Problem

The main concern of this study is to provide possible


solution to the existing problem of the India Handumanan
Collectibles and Souvenir Shop with their current Manual
Inventory System.

Specific Problems:

1. Hard to maintain inventory records like stocks and supplies.


2. Hard to inputting all the products and item with simple way
of editing, deleting and adding new records items.
3. IHCSS has no existing website
4. No client and employee interaction.
5. Lack of promotion and advertising

General Objectives

The main concern of this study is to create a Computerized


Inventory System for India Handumanan Collectibles and Souvenir
Shop.

Specific Objectives

1. To be able to minimized and to avoid or waste time in


inputting the records like stocks, and supplies that they
sell and used by helping them to improve the way of
maintaining their inventory.
2. To be able to create an easy managing of products and items
with simple way of editing, deleting and adding new
records of item by creating a faster, more accurate result
using a computerized way of inputting all the products.
3. Create a system an official website for IHCSS.
4. Create an open forum for client and employee

order to provide the information of the customer. The theories

designed to manage large information. It involves storing and

manipulating information. Database use queries wherein it

interacts with the database to work with database data. Database

is any collection of data organized for storage in a computer

maybe in the form of text, numbers, or encoded graphics. Since

their first, experimental appearance in the 1950s, databases have

become so important in industrial societies that they can be

found in the almost every field of information. Government;

military, and industrial databases are often highly restricted,

and professional databases are usually of limited interest. A

wide range of commercial, government , and nonprofit databases

are available to the general public, however, and may used by

anyone who owns or has access to the equipment that they

required. Relational database, in computer science, a type of

in tables-rows and columns of data-and conducts searches by

using data in specified columns of one table to find additional

data in another table. In a relational database, the rows of a

table represent records (collection of information about

separate items) and the columns represent fields (particular

attributes of the record). In conducting searches, a relational

database matches information from the field in one table with

information in a corresponding field of another table to

produced a third table that combines requested data from both

tables.

Data security. The DBMS can prevent un organized users from

viewing of updating the entire database. Using passwords, users

are allowed access to the entire database or the subset of it

known “subschema”.

Scope and Limitations

This study focused on India Handuman Collectibles and

Souvenir Shop at San Roque Street, Roxas City. The study covers

in building the Computerized Inventory Information and Webpage.

For the user online they can navigate the webpage with

friendly user interface. They have a user name and the password

for the security of their account. They can also browse and

query for the product they want to buy or order together with

the price of the product display with feature of how to deliver

the product with the information needed for delivery if the

purchase are verify and the payment is successful in the credit.

Computerized inventory information system webpage only covers

the whole region VI.

For the administrator it will be in charge in manipulating

the proper sales report and inventory and information of the

customer. The proposed system will be includes information such

as the product code, service and customer information where

he /she can add, edit, delete, and view the items that customer

well purchased, a certain product. The propose online customer

will include personal information of the customer such us date

applied customer contact number, last name, first name, middle

name, age, address, monthly income, and personal password.

The propose system will include information such as sales

and service monthly report. It contains data such date sold,

first name, last name, principal, balance, and down payment. It

also a log in function for the administrator.

Significance of the Study

With the very advanced technology today, high existence of

excellence, organization and individuals were using the World

Wide Web for any purposes especially business transaction. The

Automated computerized inventory information system will benefit

store, manager, and clients .

For the store products, this then increase the number of

their clients with in their access whether inside or outside the

Roxas City. It will also help the company to promote their

product and service they offered wherein it follows the increase

the sales productivity.

For the clients, this system will somehow help them

decrease their effort in terms of products or items, wherein

they can already by or order the product and items via online. It

will be efficient for them to search for service and newest and

latest trend of technology through the internet.

On the part of the researcher, it enhances and developed my

skills, as will it could also have the additional knowledge in

terms of programming and creating database and interactive

website. It will also update their knowledge about the latest

tolls used in programming. This study will also improved and

enhance their critical thinking and skill in analyzing such

case.

Inventory Report – refers to data that used to inform buyers or

suppliers and shop about the results of the remaining stocks.

Product – refers the goods or items that they sell or bought

from the suppiers.

Record – refers to a collection of related items of data such as

the name of the product, the price, the remaining and the

products that had been sold, and had been supplied which is

stored in the database of the system and the result the

transaction with the supplier or customer.
