America the Ignorant – The Fall of the

American Republic
How Big Media, Big Finance and Big Pharmaceutical Are Killing America

So what’s the big deal?

The silence is deafening. Media outlets decry the folly of those not aligned with their own
dogmatic doctrine with annoying mouthpieces like; Glen Beck of Fox News and Al Franken (the
lame comedian turned inept US Senator) of Air America fame, spewing their myopic blather.
They fill the web and poison public discourse with noise and disinformation that diverts the
attention of a Great Nation from the most pressing issue of the day, “The selling of America”.

Part 1 Chemical Slavery

In a time when our beautiful children exist among us as walking, sore ridden, skeletal apparitions
it is clear that the time to act is now!

The most damaging attacks on our way of life are those which prey on our children, our youth
and our vitality as a nation. Al-Qaida could not have orchestrated a more effective attack upon a
free society. Or could they? Is it a coincidence that Afghanistan as a failed state has become an
unfettered producer of opium? Or is the plain avaricious greed of our pharmaceutical giants to
blame for enslaving our youth with their lab synthesized brand of Misery, Oxycodone?

How do we as a free people continue to allow drug companies to create a perfectly legal market
that thrives on human suffering? As usual those in power say there is no simple answer, yet
ultimately it is simple. The answer lies with the ineptitude of government and the dark side of
capitalism.

The numbers are staggering and the implications are ominous. Opiate addiction is skyrocketing
and producers of this addictive and legal opiate have met the challenge of an ever growing
market for the pharmaceutical companies’ “Controlled Substances”, such as Oxycotin,
generating BILLIONS in profits. It is not an overstatement to say that every person in America is
affected by this tsunami of “Hillbilly Heroin” washing over our children and laying waste to all it
touches. In keeping with my thesis there is no easy way to assemble the information required to
give one a clear picture of the epidemic we are confronted with. If one searches, “Oxycodone
addiction statistics” what you get are sites for “for profit” rehabilitation organizations. It would
seem huge profits are to be made from human suffering by both causing opiate addiction and
endlessly treating it.

ONE STAGGERING STATISTIC SAYS IT ALL

The first clinical use of the Oxycodone was documented in 1917. It was first introduced to the
US market in May 1939.

The International Narcotics Control Board(UN) estimates that 11.5 tons of oxycodone were
manufactured worldwide in 1998, which grew to 75.2 tons in 2007. Of all countries, the United
States had the highest total consumption of oxycodone in 2007 (82% of the world total of 51.6
tons ) In addition, in 2007 the U.S. had the highest per capita consumption of Oxycodone,
followed by Canada, Denmark, Australia, and Norway.

The 700% increase in production in 10 years is a clear indictment of the industry’s unbridled
greed. We have to face the distressing fact that the big drug companies get paid no matter where
their product ends up.

Obviously there is a problem, and it’s worse than that. The single statistic of a 700% in increase
in production levels of oxycodone in 10 years is staggering at best. Remember also that 3 long
years have passed since these statistics were compiled. I’m no mathematician but I did make it
through two semesters of college calculus and at the rate of accelerating production levels, year
over year of oxycodone, it’s reasonable and conservative to assume that 2011’s production of
oxycodone will top out at 100 TONS, of the dangerous and highly addictive opiate, with
Americans consuming a staggering 82 tons. Even Pablo Escobar would be impressed with such a
feat and all done perfectly legally. All this begs the question, how many little blue pills at
$60/pill are in a ton, since it is reasonable to assume that a large percentage of product
manufactured post 1998 has found its way into the hands of people using the product illegally?
The massive amounts of money disappearing into the hands of illegal pill merchants is a huge
drag on the legitimate economy and all this happens for the sake of a handful of drug companies’
profits.

Now, if I was a brainiac analyst living in one of the manufactured “Stepford Communities”
located around Washington DC that might be the end of it. But I’m the father of a 25 year old
daughter in the suburbs of NYC who has friends that are dropping like flies to this terrible
addiction and I see the true dynamics at work here. It’s not just those 100 tons/yr of Oxycodone
that are enslaving our people but the hundreds, maybe thousands of tons/yr of heroin, the cheap
alternative when an addict is “Dope Sick”, that contribute to the tsunami of opiates swamping
our society. Therefore in a very real way “Big Pharma” is the pusher on the corner with the
illegal heroin trade the direct beneficiary of their “aggressive” promotional efforts. “First one’s
free,” right guys?

The victims of “Big Pharma’s” greed are slaves by any measure. They work exclusively for the
benefit of another (Purdue and their licensees). They are deprived of all of the trappings of
citizenship; life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. For the most part addicts don’t vote. The tens
of thousands of dollars they pay out year, after miserable year, goes to feed a thriving drug trade
with the likes of Al-Qaida and Drug Company Executives being the principle beneficiaries.

If one was to imagine the perfect police state it would be one where the people were prisoners in
a jail they, through their own efforts, support. Each troublesome citizen would carry their prison
with them. Instead of expensive guards and jails there would be a monkey on each of their backs.
Let’s not forget that the United States incarcerates more people than any nation on the planet. So
while we spend millions to imprison people charged with marijuana related offences, global
corporate opiate pushers and their political lackeys enjoy their ill-gotten gains.

More to come.
