NOW! 

La comunidad de la Universidad de Puerto Rico y el pueblo de Puerto Rico hemos expresado

claramente nuestro reclamo hoy: Queremos INMEDIATAMENTE la salida de los agentes de la
Policía de Puerto Rico del recinto de Rio Piedras de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. 

Desde hace varios meses los incidentes de violencia por parte de agentes de la policía, hacia los
estudiantes y demás manifestantes han ido en dramática escalada. Los videos demuestran
torturas, maltratos, humillaciones, agresión, arrestos ilegales, abusos, violaciones de derechos
civiles, violaciones a los derechos humanos, hostigamiento sexual y demás injusticias, abuso de
poder y de fuerza. La Universidad de Puerto Rico es el primer centro de aprendizaje del país y la
institución educativa que más gloria le ha dado a Puerto Rico históricamente. La Universidad de
Puerto Rico debe permanecer siempre siendo un espacio que permita y garantice: el libre
ejercicio del proceso de aprendizaje, el libre ejercicio de disentir y el libre ejercicio del
pensamiento crítico y sus manifestaciones; la justicia y la ¡PAZ! 

POLICE OUTSIDE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PUERTO RICO, NOW! ¡FUERA LA

POLICIA!

The community of the University of Puerto Rico and we the people of Puerto Rico have
stated clearly today our claim: We want IMMEDIATELY the Police of Puerto Rico OUT of
the Rio Piedras campus of the University of Puerto Rico. ¡ESTO TIENE QUE
DETENERSE AHORA! ¡NO MAS VIOLENCIA!

For several months the incidents of violence by police agents, against students and other
protesters have been on the dramatic scale. Videos shows torture, abuse, humiliation,
aggression, illegal arrests, abuse, civil rights violations, human rights violations, sexual
harassment and other injustices; abuse of power and of strength. The University of Puerto
Rico is the first learning center of the country and the school that has given more glory to
Puerto Rico historically. The University of Puerto Rico must always remain to be a space
that allowed and guaranteed: the free exercise of the learning process, the free exercise of
dissent and the free exercise of critical thinking and its manifestations, justice and PEACE!
THIS MUST STOP RIGHT NOW! NO MORE VIOLENCE!
