Old Testament advices “live and
multiply.” But, the Old Testament
did not specify how many children
should a couple raise.
So, it is the couple’s choice on
how many children they can
afford to raise. This is where
knowledge of responsible
parenthood becomes very
essential.

3. Abstraction
Our lesson for today is about the
Factors to be considered in
Responsible Parenthood.
  PARENTAL ROLE
-Parents must not only
provide physical and
material needs but also
love, security and
continuous guidance for
the children to become
upright, responsible and
worthy members of the
home and community.

 FAMILY RELATIONSHIP
-Raising a family calls for a
lot of interaction in the
process of relating to one
another. This requires
discipline, training and
harmonious relationship
among the members.
Harmonious relationship
not only between husband
and wife and children but
with in- laws and relatives
must be one of the central
purpose of responsible
parenthood.

 KNOWLEDGE OF CHILD-
REARING
-One has a better chance
of rearing healthy, happy,
intelligent children if
parents are educated and
prepared for the duties
expected of parenthood.
