by laying down their lives to merge
their souls and form Archons. These
unified Protoss spirits radiate
incalculable power, unleashing
psionic barrages against cowering
enemy forces both in the air and on
the ground. With the reunification of the Protoss race, any
pair of High Templar or Dark Templar, or even one of each,
can be fused together. The Protoss are loath to sacrifice their
loyal warriors, but those who make this final commitment are
forever honored in the memories of their people.

Train Ghosts and fire EMP rounds at them, as each shot will deal heavy

These things are powerful if you use them right, archon toilet flushes if done correctly makes opponents quit on the spot.
This thing is almost useless due to Thors can kill Mutas faster than an Archon but Archons do splash on air and ground at least only the
Colossus can do better at turning Zerglins and Hydras into burnt bugs faster than the Archon.
I am not sure about the archons. It costs two dark templars or high templars. But they are not as squishy as DTs and HTs are.
use the archon toilet with these bad boys and watch the enemy troop count plummet :D
This may or may not have already been said (I'm not gonna go fishing through nearly 300 comments -.- ) but Blizz gave them
tooooooooo much armor in SC2 -- especially when they have an INCREDIBLY HIGH 10 hp. In the SC universe the Archons are made of
pure energy and having a big metal body surrounded by a bit of sparkles doesn't constitute pure energy in my book. :P

Not only should they have kept dark archons, they should have some sort of fusion between normal and dark archons... Highly Dark

@Davidlook: that would be the "Twilight Archon", one high temp + one dark temp. it was not included in the game.
Hey im still pretty new to this, when it says total damage and it says +34 does it mean 34 attack or 34+25?
@Avoontap: 25 is their damage already.+34 is how much damage can be added by upgrades for a total of 59 damage
They should have kept the different kinds of Archons like the Dark ones. They kicked ass with their spells.
A handful of marine would get pwnd by a mothership, but god units like archons carriers etc. Can be killed very easily

The range on these guys is terrible. I'd rather have HTs. I pretty much only make these if the enemy is getting detector heavy and I
have too many DTs. I feel like a small handful of marines shouldn't be able to take out the supposedly god-like units like the Archon,

I think, like the Ultralisk, they should be immune to slow and mind control. Makes sense, right? How does an Infestor tentacle mind
control a being of pure violent energy that should burn the end off of it? And how do low-tech Terran Marauder shells slow this god-like
spirit ball?
