Questions 20 – 22 refer to the following text.

Krui is a small town on the coast of the Indian Ocean. It's the capital city of Pesisir Barat
District of Lampung Province, Indonesia. It's difficult to put into words what Krui means to me. I
used to go to Krui every year as a child with my family. As kids, my brother and I loved the
journey, it was such an exciting adventure for us. Most of our happiest family memories are
hidden in this place. After nearly ten years since our last family holiday, we decided to head
back to the place last month.

The first thing we did after arriving there was checking in the cottages we are used to staying
every time we visit there. Of all the cottages in which we have stayed, I don't think I have found
such a stunning and peaceful view as these cottages have. The cottages offer a breathtaking
view of the whole of Krui, including the long coastline and the vast ocean. The view we have
seen from the cottage really summed up the beauty of this charming town.

In the evening, we went into our favorite cafes and restaurants. As we have been to Krui so
many times, we know the locals pretty well and they also recognized us very well. It was pretty
emotional to meet our local friends after quite long time we haven’t met each other. That night,
we ended up sitting out at the beach bar reminiscing about old times and sharing stories about
our past experiences, which was lovely.

As we went towards the end of September this year, the weather was a bit unpredictable. The
seas were a little rough on some days, which was actually a bonus. My older brother and I are
both strong swimmers and always loved to play in the waves there when we were younger. We
repeated the history this year and tackled the huge waves together, it was great fun. On a few
cloudy mornings, we went for a run barefoot along the soft, sandy shoreline. It was so
refreshing and relaxing running alongside the clear blue waters.

Overall, it was a wonderful trip. I knew returning to Krui wasn't going to be easy, but it was
something we needed to do as an annual family holiday. I may love travelling all around the
world to some truly spectacular places, but Krui will forever hold a place in my heart.

e-Sports (also known as electronic sports, competitive (video) gaming, professional

(video) gaming, or pro gaming) is a form of competition using video games. Most commonly, e-
Sports take the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly
between professional players. The most common video game genres associated with e-Sports

arena (MOBA). Tournaments such as The International, the League of Legends World

broadcasts of the competition, and prize money to competitors. Although organized online and
offline competitions have long been a part of video game culture, these were largely between
amateurs until the late 2000s when participation by professional gamers and spectatorship in
these events saw a large surge in popularity. Many game developers now actively design
toward a professional e-Sport subculture.

Millions of people play games for fun. Some of them have become professional gamers, playing
games as their full-time job. It’s not easy being a professional gamer, though. They practise for
ten or more hours a day, five or six days a week. They do exercises like typing something and
trying to type it faster and faster. They also study videos of other players and plan ways to beat
them. As well as playing games, many people like watching them too. Viewers can watch
games on video sites like Twitch and YouTube and in the UK there’s a TV channel showing e-
Sports 24 hours a day. They can be exciting to watch: just like other sports, there are close

Questions 29 – 31 refer to the following text.
Nusa Lembongan, a small island between Bali and Nusa Penida in Badung Strait, is the
perfect holiday hideaway with few visitors and pristine unspoilt beaches. A low, protected
island about 11 km southeast of mainland Bali, measuring only four by three km and ringed
with mangrove swamps, and palms and white sandy beaches. Inland the terrain is scrubby
and very dry, with volcanic stonewalls and processional avenues crisscrossing the small
cactus-covered hills. Overlooking Sanghiang Bay with its clear blue waters, the Nusa
Lembongan Resort offers a panoramic view of eastern Bali and the majestic silhouette of
Mount Agung. Known for its great surf, the excellent crystal-clear waters also make it a
perfect place for snorkeling and diving. It's still a basic place, but interesting, and there are
some lovely places to stay.
The island is small enough to explore on foot, offering pristine beaches and coves, majestic
views of Mount Agung, unique Balinese architecture, and the friendliness of a simple country
folk. With a lack of arable land and a severe shortage of tourist attractions, the island's
economy is limited to its underwater wealth-seaweed. A secondary occupation is catering to
visiting surfers. Between Nusa Lembongan and the adjacent of Nusa Ceningan Island, the
population is only 60,000.
There are just two villages on Nusa Lembongan, the large, spread out administrative center
of Lembongan Village, and Jungut Batu village. Surfers and backpackers hang out in the
latter, about 150 per month, for an average stay of three to five days. The only other visitors
are European, Japanese, and Australian day-trippers on excursion boats. Jungut Batu offers
the island's best accommodations and water sport opportunities. There's motorcycle traffic
between the two villages and it's easy to get a lift. Both villages are heavily involved in the
cultivation of seaweed. Before government-supported commercial seafood production in
1980, the people of the island lived on maize, cassava, tuber, beans, and peanuts. Today
most everyone is involved in one way or another with cultivation of "sea vegetables," and the
air is permeated with its smell.

A. create investment to develop the tourism
B. have great interest in coming to the island

Questions 32 – 34 refer to the following text.

Growing up on a small farm near Fairmount, Ind. (pop. 2,866), James Robert
Davis (born on July 28, 1945) figured he would follow in his father's footsteps and
become a farmer. But as severe bouts of asthma made that job seem unlikely, the
bedridden youngster began drawing to pass the time. It was the genesis for what would
become his career as a cartoonist and creator of one of America's best-loved
characters-Garfield the cat.
Davis wrote (or in some cases, co-wrote) all of the Garfield TV specials for CBS,
originally broadcast between 1982 and 1991; and was one of the producers behind
the Garfield & Friends Saturday Morning series, which aired on the channel from 1988
to 1994. Davis was also the writer and executive producer of a series of CGI-direct-to-
video feature films about Garfield, as well as one of the executive producers on
the CGI-animated TV series The Garfield Show. He continues to work on the strip.
Prior to creating Garfield, Davis worked for an advertising agency, and in 1969, he
began assisting Tom Ryan's comic strip, Tumbleweeds. He then created a comic
strip, Gnom Gnat that ran for five years in The Pendleton Times,
an Indiana newspaper. When Davis attempted to sell it to a national comic
strip syndicate, an editor told him: "Your art is good, your gags are great, but bugs—
nobody can relate to bugs!
On June 19, 1978, Garfield started syndication in 41 newspapers. Today it is
syndicated in 2,580 newspapers and is read by approximately 300 million readers each
day.
In the 1980s, Davis created the barnyard slapstick comic strip U.S. Acres. Outside the
U.S., the strip was known as Orson's Farm. Davis, along with Brett Koth, also made a
2000–03 strip based on the Mr. Potato Head toy.
Davis founded the Professor Garfield Foundation to support children's literacy.
