In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

1. Alif-lam-meem (These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran none but Allah
knows their meanings.)
2. Tilka ayatu alkitabi alhakeemi (These are Verses of the Wise Book)
3. Hudan warahmatan lilmuhsineena (A guide and a mercy for the Musinun)
4.Allatheena yuqeemoona alssalata wayu/toona alzzakata wahum bial-akhirati hum
yooqinoona (Those who perform As-Salat and give Zakat and they have faith in
Hereafter with certainty)

The holy verse of surah Luqman starts with the verses of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala
which are the signs of the book full of divine wisdom, revealed by Allah Subhana-Wa-
Ta’aala on Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam). This great impeccable book is
replete with virtuous systems designed for the welfare and survival for the humans with
sound proofs of logic. And in the book there are so many mysteries of deep meanings
still need to be explored through the mathematical level of intellect. And this book is so
great and impeccable that no wisest possible human brain of any time and space can
bring or trace atom size like error or hiatus. Subhan Allah (all glory to Allah). This is
the beauty of the book. It is the most complete code of life for the humans. This is the
work of Allah in accordance with the nature of the universe. There is full-synchronized
compatibility between the nature of God and the work of God. What the nature has been
created by Allah, its laws have been formulated for them. That’s why the human
intellectual brain eye is entirely unable to detect any inkling of difference or lacuna in the
holy Quran. And the system given for the mankind in this book is only mercy. There is

no concept of any trouble for the followers of this great book. But it requires the
practical implementation with the rules and regulations what have been given in this great
book. The results are ever gauged on the practicality. So it is a practical book for the
practical problems faced by the mankind in their practical life. We are proud to be the
follower of this great book that the mercy is perpetual in its code of life. If you recite the
verses of the holy Quran you can get the taste of the Providence by yourself. The more
you recite the holy verses the more you get the pleasure of its efficacy. There is a
wonderful linguistic weaving in the formulation in knitting pattern of the words used to
convey the specific meanings in the holy verse. That’s why the reciter of it never gets
exhausted or bored. The words of this book also attract the reciter of it.
Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala gave directive to the prophet (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam)
that before he preached the teachings of this book to others, he should recite the verses of
the holy Quran before others. It is especially prescribed to Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu
'alayhi wa sallam). It was the first linguistic olfactory tool to make them inclined towards
the holy Quran. So the pages of history are proof and witness that when prophet (Salla
'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) used to recite the holy verses in salat or in the state of worship
in the mid of night: the heads, chieftains, and elders of the Kufaar used to hear the
recitation of the holy verse without being seen. They would hide themselves behind
walls. And they would in next morning say that craft did not belong to him. They used
to consider the narration of the holy verses some kind of supernatural entity. Because
they themselves were the poets and writers of highly rectified prose. By that time every
person used to converse in poetical form. That’s why the linguistic flow of the natural
juxtaposition of the words of the holy verse used to stun them. There is very famous
story that when Amerul Qias was about to be murdered, he said to his murderer to go his
home and tell them about this incident what was going to happen with him in one poetical
line “your father has been murdered”. And he reiterated that he only
should say this line. The history tells us that when that murderer went the home of his
victim, there were the daughters of the murdered. When the girls came out at the door he
only spoke that line only. As and when he spoke that line, one of the girls caught him by
his wrist. And she spoke to him that next line was “murderer is before
you”. So because other line of the verse was no other but he only could be murder of her
father. She said to him. Here from you can imagine their genius of mind, extension in
tongue, presence of mind, and poetical aptitude in daily conversation. So the words of
holy verse contain in them the holy flow of divine poetical form. Now we move at other
side.
There is one question that if someone asked you who is Mohsin? You should say the
person who does pious maneuvers. Moumin would a person who has Iman in his heart.
You must bear in mind the difference of these two important words. Mutaqee is a person
who does taqwa. But the holy Quran tells that Moumin is a person who is Mutaqee. And
Mutaqee is a person who is a Moumin. And the Mohsin is a person who is Mutaqee.

Meanings are different but the person is the same. Moumin can not be a Moumin unless
he comes in the circle of taqwa. A person can not be called a Mutaqee unless he becomes
Moumin. And Mohsin is Mutaqee. So words are really different but the person is the
same.
The words contain their own meanings but the recognition of a person is the same. He
would be recognized from these three words. Allah says Alif-lam-meem (These letters
are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah knows their meanings). Thalika
alkitabu la rayba feehi hudan lilmuttaqeena (This is the Book whereof there is no doubt,
a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun and love Allah much). Allatheena yu/minoona
bialghaybi wayuqeemoona alssalata wamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoona (Who believe in
the Ghaib and perform As Salat and spend out of what we have provided for them).
Mutaqee people have got Iman Bilghaib in their hearts. They establish the system of
salat. They believe in Day of Judgment. Actually Allah is giving us recognition of the
persons who have these three qualities. And these three qualities are different but have
the same efficacy and one should have these qualities in him. Then he would be
considered a devout pious personality. Mounin people don’t let the vulgar things come in
their life. They defend their salat. They pay zakat – social tax to promote the extension
in society. And Moumin people firmly believe in Day of Judgment. Also Allah told that
these people are only the heirs of heaven. So these different traits mean different
meanings but a person contain these different traits in his practical personality. This is
the recognition of him told by Allah directly to us.
It is a common phenomenon that when the nature of mentality gets some kind of superior
type of achievement, mind reaches the sky. Allah says don’t forget your true place. You
must be humble in all the achievements be these great and lofty. Allah reminds us that
from meek and dirty sperms we were born. So one should see his higher and consider the
lower to remain in neutral senses. And one should not expect to be great if he does the
worship regularly and vehemently. Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala knows whose worship is
acceptable in His court and how.
Amirul Mouminin used to give zakat what would come in his home. Can you imagine?
He never boasted and showed it off. So what are we? Once Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu
'alayhi wa sallam) asked his companions that four dirhams would be given who would
offer prayer without having any imagination in his namaz except Allah’s. All tried but
they failed. Imam Ali (AS) also offered the prayer. After he finished salat, Muhammad
(Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) was about to say something that Gabriel came and said
that Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala told him Ali was thinking that one Dirham he would
give in zakat in the morning, one in the night, one in open, one in hidden. So Allah sent
Gabriel to let Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) know that what Ali thought he
only thought of Allah’s. He did not think about his own life. Subhan Allah (all glory to
Allah). Then this verse revealed on Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam)

it was certified by the holy

Quran what Ali had thought.

Zakat is not limited in its meaning. It has very wide meanings. Everything given to
anyone in the context of help is also zakat. And the literal meanings of zakat is the
chastity and to extend. Now peruse the philosophy. The divine design behind granting
zakat is the more you would give for the sake of Allah, the more it would become pure
and extended. Quran is the alpha and omega. Allah teaches all aspects and facets of life.
Allah gave the concept of zakat so that we may become generous people to serve the
humanity. And then a man would have a firm belief in his mind that his one alms would
return him ten from Allah. Before proceeding ahead it is pertinent to understand this
point that how our one effort may fetch us more what we do?
For example a peasant sows seeds. Those seeds are in certain numbers. And those seeds
grow individually. Soil is free. Water from the earth is free. Sun to give agricultural life
to the growing seeds is free. Allah is very kind. He provides all the ingredients to the
mankind what it needs to grow and flourish. Then those seeds individually grow, and in
their ears – how many grains are there? This is the fruit of our limited efforts. And you
have seen how great reward Allah gives to us.
If you notice the proper way to offer pray, it will come to your notice that it contains each
and everything in connection with the civilization. First of all we have to do ablution.
Allah makes us purified in the physical form. And to remain with ablution is mustahabb
(recommended). That’s why Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) gave emphasis
on the use of perfume. After it he also liked namaz. And our beloved prophet (Salla
'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) used to have plethora of perfumes that he also used to distribute
among his friends and others. Whereas prophet (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam) was
above the use of perfume. He was by himself scented by the nature of Allah. The water
was scant in Arab by that time, due to this reason it was very important to use scent. So
the scent and prayer was immensely liked by Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa
sallam). And it is very important to establish the system of namaz in our practical
society. Allah made obligatory Zuhur namaz first. This was told and explained by the
sixth imam. Always remember masoom never speaks until he gets the confirmation from
the holy Quran. Whatever an imam talks that is the reflexion of the holy Quran. The Fajr
prayer is also very important. If someone is offering Fajr prayer, it is said about him that

a person who offers his Fajr prayer, the

angels of the night also write his ibadat of morning as a part of night ibadat. And the
angles of the day also write him a worshiper. So for namaz we have to do taharat, ziker
Quran, Du’a, and Sujood, and also Rukhoo. And in tashahad we do affirm the oneness of
Allah, the acknowledgment of the last prophet (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam). And by
reciting Durood we solemnly pledge that we have the deepest possible respect for
Muhammad (Salla 'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam). And the commencement of namaz is from
Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi. And we recited this verse Ali comes in namaz.
That’s why Muavia (the garbage of humanity) had left saying this verse in his namaz.
Because there was enmity with Ali.
