Provides empirically-based, specialised


assessment and treatment services for
the young persons (and families) or
adults who have criminogenic needs and
risks.

Treatment Services for offenders

Positive Adolescent Sexuality Treatment (PAST)

• Individuals with history of sexual offences or sexually abusive


behaviours (not including carnal connection)
• 13 years old and above
• Weekly sessions; 6 months

Basic Education and Sexuality Treatment (BEST)


• For sexual offenders with special needs e.g., intellectually disabled
• 13 years old and above
• Weekly sessions ; 6 months or more

Sexuality Treatment for Offending Parents (STOP)

• For adult males who have committed intra-familial sexual offences


• Weekly sessions; 6-7 months
Treatment Services for offenders

Violence Prevention Programme (VPP)


• Individuals with history of violent offences or chronic violent behaviours
• Distinct from anger management programmes
• 13 years old and above
• Weekly sessions; 6 months

Theft Intervention Programme (TIP)


• Individuals with history of theft offences (excluding kleptomania)
• 13 years old and above
• Weekly sessions; 5 months
• Conducted by external vendors

Individual therapy
• For other mental health disorders related to offending behaviours e.g.,
depression, anxiety, impulse control disorders
• No fixed timeframe
• Usually in conjunction with outpatient psychiatric treatment
Treatment Services for victims of
sexual abuse
Recovery for Kids (R4Kids)
• Children who have been sexually abused
• 8-12 years old
• 11 sessions

Recovery & Empowerment for Survivors of


Sexual Abuse (RES)

• Female adolescents who have been sexually abused*


• 13-19 years old; 6 months

Carers’ Recovery & Support (CRES)


• Non-offending carers of individual who have been sexually abused e.g.,
mothers
• 10 sessions

Self-harm Intervention Programme (SHIP)

• For adolescents with history of self-harming behaviours


• 8 sessions
• *current programme caters to only females

Preferred requirements

• Post-graduate qualification –
- At least a Masters or above
qualification in clinical or forensic
psychology
• Relevant experience in clinical or
forensic settings
• Good report-writing skills
• Good interpersonal skills
Clinical Psychology

• Clinical psychology is concerned with the


assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and
prevention of mental disorders.
• Specialty areas within clinical psychology include
child mental health, adult mental health, learning
disabilities, emotional disturbances, substance
abuse, geriatrics and health psychology.

Forensic Psychology

• Forensic psychology is the application of the
