Multimedia delivered to the user by electronic or digitally manipulated means. A multimedia


project development requires creative, technical, organizational, and business skills.

a) What is meant by the terms multimedia and hypermedia?

c) Describe TWO (2) primary multimedia delivery media.

a) Describe the differences between a typeface and a font.

Sound is perhaps the most sensuous element of multimedia. It is meaningful "speech" in any
language, from a whisper to a scream. It can provide the listening pleasure of music, the
startling accent of special effects of the ambience of a mood setting background.

a) Give a definition of MIDI and digital audio.

By definition, animation makes static presentation come alive. It is visual change over time

applications for both Macintosh and Windows provide animation tools.

QUESTION 1

You are marketing director for a small telecommunications company. You are considering
using multimedia to market your company's product. Put together an outline detailing of
using a CD-ROM presentation and multimedia web site.

Digital audio systems for multimedia computers are based on special circuitry that interfaces
the computer to external audio components such as microphones, audio player and
recorder, and speakers. Draw the diagram of digital audio hardware configuration showing
input, output and storage.
