 Tehnologia cloud computing a permis companiilor să migreze platformele și aplicațiile care au fost cândva
predominant locale in medii “cloud” publice /private.
 Cloud computing este o tehnologie care oferă aplicații intr-un grup cloud de distribuite a resurselor de calcul
(de exemplu, servere, baze de date, aplicații și rețele).
 Ofertele de cloud computing au fost clasificate în
 Software ca serviciu (SaaS),
 Platformă ca serviciu (PaaS) și
 Infrastructură ca serviciu (IaaS).
 Consumatorii SaaS utilizează aplicațiile unui furnizor care rulează pe o infrastructură cloud, accesându-le
utilizând diverse dispozitive client printr-o interfață client (browser web).
 Infrastructura cloud de bază include rețele, servere, sisteme de operare și medii de stocare, care sunt
invizibile pentru client. (Este probabil ca furnizorii SaaS să fie consumatori PaaS, plătiți pentru memorie,
medii de stocare și instrumente atunci când creează Aplicații SaaS.)
 Furnizorii PaaS sunt consumatori de furnizori IaaS
 Beneficiile cloud computing includ costuri mai mici de implementare, timp mai rapid pentru evaluare și
upgrade-uri rentabile. Economia cheltuielilor de capital pe care le oferă cloud computing-ul au facilitat
implementarea rapidă a our soluții de partajare a informațiilor mai rentabile.
 Utilizarea cloud-urilor private au permis orchestrarea partajării și gestionării capacităților de stocare între
diferiții jucători dintr-un lanț de aprovizionare.
