MILK PROCUREMENT:

MILK PROCUREMENT Milk is received through insulted road/rail tankers at very low
temperature thus retaining its freshness. The milk then undergoes more then 15 stringent
qualities before it is stored in silo’s (vertical milk storage tanks) for further processing.

PROCESSING OF MILK:

PROCESSING OF MILK At Mother dairy processing of milk is done through state-of-


the-art microprocessor technology which integrates and completely automates all
functions of milk processing and ensures high quality, reliability and safety the various
stages of milk processing are given below.

CLARIFICATION:

CLARIFICATION The chilled milk from the silos goes to the clarifier after preheating.
The clarifier spins the milk at very high speed, removing all dust particles that are
invisible to the naked eye.
STANDARDIZATION:

STANDARDIZATION MILK from different breeds of cows and buffaloes varies in its
composition. Hence, to make milk uniform in composition, percentage to a desired level.

HOMOGENIZATION:

HOMOGENIZATION in this process, the milk is subjected to a very high pressure due to
which the large fat globules present in milk are broken down into tiny droplets. The milk
far gets evenly distributes and milk appears whiter and thicker. Milk is homogenized for
consumer who do not like creamy layer on top. Homogenization improves palatability of
milk.

PASTURIZATION:

PASTURIZATION in this process, the milk is heated at 72 degree c .This process kills
all the pathogenic bacteria present in the milk safe for consumption. Pasteurization unlike
boiling does not affect the nutritive value of the milk.

FORTIFICATION WITH VITAMIN ‘A’:

FORTIFICATION WITH VITAMIN ‘A’ Homogenized Toned milk during processing is


fortified with vitamin ‘A’. The deficiency of vitamin ‘A’ can lead to night blindness and
skin horning.

&sterile milk tankers or packed in high grade material and transported under cold chain
to your nearest milk booth. Everyday, as part of quality assurance process, milk samples
are collected from milk shops randomly and are tested. The above processes help us in
maintaining our stringent quality standards in order to ensure that the milk you get is
fresh, pure and healthy.

retail outlets through a control room set up at the dairy premises. The control room is
very vital for efficient of milk ton all the retail outlets. It organized distribution of milk to
the retail. It organizes distribution routes so that shops do not run out of milk. Each milk
is fitted with a wireless set. As soon as the person in the control room learns that a shop is
running out of milk, he contacts the tanker nearest to the shop on wireless, which then
delivers the milk to the shop.

enabled us to provide consumers with different variants of milk labeled and color coded
to their requirement.

consumers are made aware about the goodness of milk, various stages of milk processes,
quality assurance practices and possible adulterants in the various stages of milk.
Consumer can see for themselves how impurities and adulterants are easily detected in all
the laboratories. Mother Dairy also has mobile lab that test milk in the residential
colonies. All this is part of a commitment to provide the consumers with the purest milk
Mother Nature has to offer.

The students of Kohinoor Business School were among the few people who got the
opportunity to get addressed by the world’s youngest and successful Enterpreneur Mr
Suhas Gopinath at the Banquet Hall of V.T Residency in Banglore.
Mr. Suhas Gopinath, now aged 24, a resident of Bangalore and hails from a middle class
family, where his father was a defense scientist. At the age of 14 he was recognized as
the worlds youngest certified Professional Web-developer through his project
coolhindustan.com. Mr. Gopinath was very assertive to be an entrepreneur and wanted to
encourage the youth, he setup Globals Inc, in the year 2000 at San Jose, California as the
laws in India did not allow him to setup a company in the country as he was still minor.
From then Globals has drastically grown as a Multi-national IT consulting company
focussed on Web, e-Commerce and Mobile Solutions.

Mr. Suhas Gopinath at the age of 16 was recognized as the world’s youngest entrepreneur
in by CNBC and e-Business, Canada. With this at the age of 17 he was recognized as the
World's Youngest CEO by leading Medias across the globe including BBC, Washington
Times, The Age, etc., including Limca Book of Records. He is also designated as the
resource person for Entrepreneurship at IIM Ahmadabad, and Advisory Board member at
IIT Bombay Entrepreneurship Cell.

In the year 2005, he became the youngest recipient of the prestigious Rajyotsava Award
conferred on him by the State Government of Karnataka. Along with his professional
activities, he has also volunteered as the Brand ambassador of PeTA and also the Youth
Ambassador for Indo-Pak Leadership Program organized by School of Leadership,
Pakistan.
On December 2, 2007, The European Parliament and International Association for
Human Values conferred “Young Achiever Award” to Mr. Suhas Gopinath at the EU
Parliament, Brussels, and he was also invited to address the European Parliament and
other Business dignitaries assembled in the EU Parliament. Mr. Suhas Gopinath was
recently announced as one of the “Young Global Leaders” for 2008-2009 by the
prestigious World Economic Forum and he became the youngest member ever in the
World Economic Forum’s history. His co-members include US Governor Bobby Jindal,
Hollywood Actor Leonardo DiCaprio, Musician A.R.Rahman, Prince of Brunei, etc. As
the Young Global Leader from India, he will be involved in development programs
across the world including leadership program at the Harvard University. In July 2008,
his detailed biography was featured in the renowned Current- Biography Book published
in New York along with Hollywood Actor George Clooney, World Bank President
Robert Zoellick, Governor of New York David Paterson, and other eminent personalities

Some of the important questions asked to Mr Suhas Gopinath by the students are as
follows:

Q1. What were the motivational factors that led you to start your own company at the
small age of 14? and what are your future plans?

Ans: I always had a vision to start my own company and be my own boss. I never wanted
to work under anyone. I always wanted the freedom to innovate. All these factors, along
with good luck helped me to achieve whatever I wanted.
My future plan is to employ the unemployed youth and to provide job opportunities to
people who have skills and a drive to achieve something. Academics is not an important
criteria for me.

Q2. Currently, what are the challenges you face as a young entrepreneur?

Ans: The most challenging thing right now is to be agile. And for that we have to be
innovative. Meeting the current challenges requires sales focus. Also, we have to
minimize the attrition rate and explore the emerging markets. What we are currentky
looking is at the western markets. also, India has amazing opportunities ahead.

Q3. How to deal with MNC's in terms of competition?

Ans: Yes, we do face competition from big companies. But we don't focus on competing
with competitors, but we deal with competition by making ourselves better. And we do
that by focusing on work culture and talent.

Q4. How do you get your business insights?

Ans: Basically, our company does a lot of market research. Also, other sources include
speaking to friends, spontaneous learnings, addressing our customers as partners, and
taking advice from stakeholders.

Q5. What is the message to become an entrepreneur?

Ans: An individual should be adventurous, innovative, generate new ideas, and have the
ability to convert the ideas into reality. An entrepreneur can generate employment
opportunities for others and effectively contribute to the growth of the company.
