Theme Songs
Introduction
The theme for next year actually has profound theological implications
that can determine the kind of direction theological education in the UCCP
has to adopt. The theme is intended to focus on a more Christological basis
for the task and mission of theological education. This means engaging in
reexamination of the paradigm of Jesus as the model for the conduct of
theological education and mission.
Guidelines
2. The words of the theme song must be the original work of the entrant.
The words must be written in English, Cebuano or Tagalog. The music
may be original or another setting. If another tune is used, it must be
in public domain, and not yet copyrighted.(Note: Not all Hymns are in
the Public domain.)
4. The selection will be based on how the entry fits the theme, its

the words enable the tune, and how the tunes enable the words.
Decision of the committee is final.
