Chest Respirator- A respirator to be worn in front of the chest with regeneration of the breathing air,
containing a regenerating cartridge with a plurality of chemical layers, a breathing bag, a connection
piece on...
3. Pressure Cooker-A pressure cooker has a cover which is removably secured in pressure-tight relation
to the cooker body. The cover has a centrally disposed valve, which regulates pressure development in
the cooker, and an over-pressure release plug in the cover margin adjacent a cover handle, which
separates from the cover in response to excessive pressure development in the cooker is captivated by
an overhang portion of the cover handle which directs the escaping fluids away from the hand grip
portion of the handle.
4. Incubator-An apparatus for incubating and/or incubating shaking biological test specimens having a
detachable autoclavable chamber. The main incubating chamber is provided with a support plate and
diffuser plate for directing a controlled flow of heated air to the biological test specimen. A transverse
blower is provided to assist in providing uniform air flow within the main incubating chamber.
5. Syringe- A syringe is a simple piston pump consisting of a plunger that fits tightly in a
tube. The plunger can be pulled and pushed along inside a cylindrical tube (the barrel),
allowing the syringe to take in and expel a liquid or gas through an orifice at the open end
of the tube.
6. Auto Clave- An autoclave is a device used to sterilize equipment and supplies by subjecting them to
high pressure saturated steam at 121 °C or more, typically for 15–20 minutes depending on the size of
the load and the contents. It was invented by Charles Chamberland in 1879,
7. Hyper Baric Chamber- also called decompression chamber or recompression chamber, sealed chamber
in which a high-pressure environment is used primarily to treat decompression sickness, gas
embolism, carbon monoxide poisoning, gas gangrene resulting from infection by anaerobic bacteria,
tissue injury arising from radiation therapy for cancer , and wounds that are difficult to heal.
10. Steam-turbine Engine- A steam turbine is a mechanical device that extracts thermal energy from
pressurized steam, and converts it into rotary motion. Its modern manifestation was invented by Sir
Charles Parsons in 1884.
