Academic Projects
Presentation on Global Warming: Gave a the presentation along with a detailed report on Global Warming, under the
Communication Skills course headed by Ms Shweta Singh IIITA, working as a team leader, in Ist semester.
The Chess Game: developed a two player chess game, using Visual Basic as the programming language, in 3rd
semester, under Dr. Tirthankar Gyan IIITA.
American Checkers Game: developed the American Draughts game, using the game tree structure, implementing AI
algorithms so that the computer generates and plays the next move itself. The game can also be played on LAN, made
possible via ‘socket programming’. The graphics is done using OpenGL, glut libraries, along with C++ coding.
Project was a part of 4th semester curriculum, made under the guidance of Dr. B. S. Sanjeev, IIITA, and worked as a
team leader of the team of two members.
Market Basket Analysis: developed the Java Application, putting in the ‘Data Mining’ concept (Frequent Pattern
Tree), and also the ‘graphical display of the simulation of the program code’ and the display of the generated FP Tree.
(A project in 4th semester, under Prof. O. P. Vyas, IIITA, leading a team of three members.)
Tourist Assistive System in Mobile Environment: The project involved creation of a mobile application (using
J2ME), that would connect to a server application running on any internet connect computer via Wi-Fi connection. The
server application was created using J2SE. The mobile application is able to pass the keywords as per the required map,
which were passed on to the server. The server then would use the ‘Google Static Map API’ to get the corresponding
map and send it to the client. Multiple clients would be able to connect to the server simultaneously.
(A mini project in 5th Semester, under the guidance of Dr. Anupam Agarwal, leading a team of 3 members.)
Peer-to-Peer secure channel for communication in mobiles : An ongoing project for this semester, in which we
intend to build an application for ‘Android’, which would encrypt the voice before transmitting it to the reciever to
prevent eavsdropping. The encryption and decryption would be using the AES algorithm.
(A mini project in 6th Semester, under the guidance of Dr. Shekhar Verma, leading a team of 3 members.)
Summer Projects
3D Anaglyph Viewer: A summer internship project, at Amrita e-learning Research lab, done using Adobe Flex. The
project software built loads a 3D file and provides options for converting it into anaglyph object and viewing it from
different angles. The main aim of the software built was to facilitate distant e-learning programs, via connecting it to
distant servers and the teaching could be done through that established connection.
(The internship was for 1.5 months, worked as a part of team under Dr. Kamal Bijlani)
