Topic Description:
The Applicant is seeking approval of a Comprehensive Plan Compliance Review to locate a 5-megawatt utility-scale solar energy generation facility on the property. The proposed facility would encompass 40 acres of the
170-acre property. Staff would note, this is a prerequisite process stipulated by Zoning Ordinance Section 5-2001.3, and must be completed before a Special Exception application for the proposed use can be submitted. The
property is located at 11795 Marsh Road (Route 17), Bealeton.
Requested Action:
Conduct the Public Hearing and forward a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors.
