Reflection
Reflection Question 1: In 100 -125 words, please respond to the following prompt:
In order to achieve the goals in your purpose plan, you will need to employ self- management and self-
leadership strategies. What self- management and self-leadership strategies do you plan on using, and how will
you use them? Hint: You may want to review some of the weekly readings for insights. These readings in
particular may be helpful: Goal-Setting and Action Planning (Topic 4), Personal Accountability for Excellence
(Topic 2), Juggling Act (Topic 1), The Power of Accountability (Topic 1).
In order to achieve some of my goals as a musician, one of the biggest things is to make as many
connections as possible. When looking for internships or performance opportunities, you are more likely to get
the gig when you now the people in charge or have shown enough skills and talent. I have a lot of connections
back home, but hopefully I can start to make a lot here, with the Museum of Instruments here in Phoenix, and
being very close to Los Angeles. Keeping myself motivated and pushing myself to be competitive is really
going to be the driving factors in this.

Reflection Question 2: In 100 -125 words, please respond to the following prompt:
GCU provides many opportunities and resources to help you accomplish the goals in your purpose plan. What
are some GCU opportunities and/or resources you will engage in to help you accomplish your goals?
My professors are already exposing me to a wide variety of service and career opportunities by sharing their life
stories and giving me advice on how to be better on my own. I also want to take advantage of the wonderful
quiet spots available on campus, as well as the really nice recording and music equipment to up my standards. I
plan on going to as many career related events as possible, and finding others on campus who have the same
ambitions as I do to make a performing group.
