Product Brief
Signaling Servers

Dialogic® SS7G21 and

Dialogic® SS7G22 Signaling
Servers: Application
Interfaces for IP and TDM
The Dialogic® SS7G21 and Dialogic® SS7G22 Signaling Servers with
the Signaling Interface Unit (SIU) option provide signaling
connectivity for distributed, multi-system-based IP and TDM telecom
applications. The servers are part of the Dialogic® Signaling Distributed Architecture (SigDiA), which enables affordable,
high-performance, distributed, cross-platform, cross-OS signaling applications. SigDiA provides the flexibility to run
signaling protocols on a board, on a Dialogic® signaling server, or on an application server.
The SS7G21 and SS7G22 offload the signaling processing from the application servers and can run a wide range of
signaling protocols (including specific local variants), enabling worldwide deployment in a variety of applications. These
units are ideal for solutions where a high throughput of signaling traffic is required.
The SS7G22 can be configured as an IP signaling server at nodes where TDM connectivity is not required. Using the
SS7G22 with Dialogic’s SIGTRAN protocols delivers exceptional price/performance value with the same reliability and
scalability as Dialogic’s TDM-enabled signaling servers.
The SS7G21 and SS7G22 offer developers an integrated standards-based signaling platform providing carrier-grade
qualities that include fault resiliency, scalability, and interoperability, making them excellent platforms for developing
enhanced telephony services.

Features Benefits
• Traffic rates up to 6,000 TCAP transactions per second or Accommodates very demanding mobile and intelligent
4,000 ISUP calls per second per server networking transaction-intensive applications
• Up to 64,000 simultaneous transactions in TCAP, INAP,
GSM-MAP, or IS41-MAP per server and 64,000 circuits
in ISUP per server

• Up to 128 low-speed, channelized 64 kpbs SS7 links in Enables the creation of powerful, scalable, cost-effective,
64 linksets or up to four high-speed, 2 Mbps Q.703 SS7 high-density solutions
links configurable on a per-link basis
• Up to 32 M2PA or 64 M3UA associations
• Up to 64 application hosts served over IP

Based on a 2U carrier-grade server Provides carrier-grade qualities that prevent revenue loss
due to downtime

supported.

Operates as an IP signaling server using M2PA or M3UA via a Can be deployed in a SIGTRAN network without the need
signaling gateway or as a peer-to-peer IP Server Process (IPSP) for TDM interface hardware or separate signaling gateways

Supports resilient system architectures and multiple point codes Enables fault-resilient system architectures with redundant
systems and standby IP ports when supporting individual or
multiple networks

Includes host software for applications under many operating Allows developers to choose the operating system most
systems suited to their application host requirement
