We’re Big On Brushless”. . . . .
The below information highlights TIP’s standard product line for other variable speed, brushless (BLDC) motors, blowers,
fans, pumps, and controllers.

Motors. . . . .
offer precise control for a wide range of applications. AMETEK standard motor designs offer maximum controllable per-
formance, coupled with the reliability of brushless technology in a compact, cost effective package. First introduced in
1988, the AMETEK brushless DC motor product line has continually expanded into one of the largest mixes of fractional
horsepower motor products in the industry. Motor selection is made easy with the wide variety of standard products
available from AMETEK. Six different motor families are available in standard configurations. These include 1.7” (43mm),
2.5” (64mm), 3.0” (76mm), 3.55” (90mm), 3.9” (99mm), and 5.25” (133mm) diameters, with continuous torque which
ranges from 2.5 oz. in. (4.06 Ncm) to 832 oz. in. (5.87 Nm) and horsepower ratings of .014 to 1.75. Voltage options range
from 12 to 74VDC.

Motor Controllers. . . . .
Any brushless DC motor requires a controller to operate. These controllers require a DC input, which is processed into
phase drive signals. The 1.7” (43mm), 3.0” (76mm), 47 and 64 frame motors (99mm and 133mm) are available with
integrated controllers. All other motors require an external controller. Controller details and compatibility to the different
motor products are supplied in the standard, full line catalog.

SLOTLESS Brushless DC Motors DC. . . . .

Designed and manufactured with AMETEK patented technology and manufacturing processes, these small, powerful
slotless brushless DC motors outperform traditional motors where efficiency, size, power, heat, low EMI, low vibration,
and noise are factors. Slotless brushless DC motors are available in eight frame sizes. Diameter ranges from .375 inches
(9.53mm) to 3.375 inches (85.72mm); power levels from 2.5 W to 600 W; speeds up to 50,000 rpm and operating torque
to 95 oz-in (67 N-cm).

Brushless DC Blowers. . . . .
offer variable (speed) output for a wide range of vacuum or pressure applications. Standard blower designs offer
brushless DC motor drives coupled to high efficiency fan systems in a compact, cost effective package. Standard
models are available in a wide range of input voltages, including 10, 12, 24, 28, and 36 VDC. A complete product line of
brushless DC blowers that accepts line voltage input (120 VAC, 100 VAC, and 240 VAC) also is available. Blower selec-
tion offers a wide variety of standard products available from AMETEK. Thirteen different blower families are available.
These include seven low voltage and six high voltage product lines. The low voltage products provide output pressures
up to 28” H2O and flows up to 45 CFM. The high voltage products provide pressures up to 145” H2O and flows up to
307 CFM.

Brushless DC Fans and Impeller Style Blowers. . . . .

offer multi-speed aerodynamic performances for all types of high airflow applications. Our standard designs come with
fully integrated electronics and are available in various input voltages including 12 and 24 VDC (13.8 and 27.6 VDC).
Environmentally resistant designs are also available for those applications that may require exposure to natural elements.
With airflow exceeding 1900 CFM, these products combine the long life expectations of brushless DC products with
maximum cooling and air movement.

Seal-Less Brushless Water Circulating Pumps. . . . .

offer three basic pump/motor designs from 12 GPM to 26 GPM in either 12 VDC or 24 VDC motor designs. Variable
speed is available for the 12 GPM pump. The seal-less pump design is magnetically coupled which provides for a leak-
proof pump. There are no rotating wet seals to wear out and leak. Detailed pump information is provided on the indi-
vidual product sheets. AMETEK seal-less pumps are not designed for, and should not be used in, life sustaining applica-
tions.

Regenerative and Centraxial Blowers. . . . .

MINISPIRAL variable flow regenerative blower features lightweight, compact construction. The blower weighs 1.01 lbs
(45 kg) with 4.2” diameter x 1.8”. It offers an integrated package of magnetics, aerodynamics and control electronics,
and meets NC-47 (office equipment specifications) for quiet operation. Available in 6, 12, and 24 volt DC versions, the
MINISPIRAL has a glass-filled molded phenolic case and impeller and stainless steel ball bearings that are permanently
lubricated for 20,000 to 30,000 hours of life. An AC version is also available. Additional options include hermetically
sealed housing.
