Requirements & Challenges

Mobile Internet Limited, UK required to set up an offshore development

centre to meet their growing business demands. With this requirement came
a lot of other hidden requirements that needed to be addressed. We brought
these requirements to the fore to have a clear picture.

 Legal identity of the firm offering the set up was a prime concern for
the client.

resources and technical skills.
 The setup should further have domain specific experts that come with
very high price tag.
 The resources’ cost and manageability should be genuine and
trackable.
 The resources joining this team should have a sense of job security.

 The resources should be laced with proper administrative and

infrastructure support.
 The client wanted effective contracts and incentive models to be
introduced for resources in the HR framework.
 He wanted a team of minimum 10 professionals comprising a project
manager, JAVA, C and C++ programmers, and technical
communicators.
 He wanted to have system administrators working as offshore
production and support team.

Radix Approach

Radix had detailed discussions with the client over the entire setup. We
discussed at length the technicalities of infrastructure setup that the client
was looking to have and what Radix had to offer. We discussed the
credentials of the resources that he wanted us to recruit. We disclosed our
resource procurement procedures and our employee retention models. We
discussed the various incentive models that could be introduced into our HR
policies. The Radix team further worked out the issues of cost of these
resources, manageability, accountability and administrative support to be
provided.

The Arrangement

The whole exercise of deliberating on every single client requirement proved

to be highly beneficial. We got a very clear understanding of what the client
was looking for exactly and what we had to offer against it. The discussions
gave us a set of guidelines to follow while trying to deliver client satisfaction.

specifications, project codes and any other form of documentation.
 Any communication or information exchange is closely monitored to
identify any security breach.

 We have taken care of all the legal formalities on behalf of the client to
ensure that he has a proper functional setup recognized by the court
of law.
 We have entered into an agreement of 3 years with the client which
can be further extended for additional period depending on the need
felt.

The Wrap Up

The Radix team views this project as a major milestone in its growth path.
This project was a platform for us to demostrate not only our techincal and
operational strength but also the extent of our support services. We
demonstrated that outsourcing is not always about delivering high cost
savings. At times, an outsourcing firm has to play the part of a business
partner and deliver extended operational support. Furthermore for Radix, it
was also an opportunity to benchmark its administrative support for a client.
