Personal Statement
I am a young man with great potential who can offer an employer a range of personal qualities
and skills. I am hard-working and thorough, with an excellent grasp of Maths, English and ICT,
with A-A* GCSEs in all and am currently in my second year of non-compulsory education. I am
very creative and have a lot of self-initiative, giving me the ability to fit well into any role and
environment and feel that I would make a great addition to any team.

Job Preference
I am currently seeking a part-time weekend or evening job in order to help fund my education and
to help save for future costs. I am willing to work flexible hours and so can work around my school
hours during the week if the need arises.

For this job I plan to dedicate all my effort into producing the best results in all areas, not just in
quality of work but also in other areas such as punctuality and appearance, and from this I hope
to further develop key skills and obtain valuable work experience in order to survive in the modern
job-scarce world.

Work Experience
Customer Advisor: Employer – Argos Uk
Location – 4-7 St. Peters Square, Northampton, Northamptonshire
NN1 1PS
(August 2010 – February 2011)
• Primary roles involved direct customer interaction, such as working on the tills, transferring stock
to the customer at the collections desk and maintaining the shop floor whilst offering
assistance and advice to anyone that required it, including helping customers carry items and
calling cabs if needs be.
• Other duties included locating and organizing stock, changing and creating the displays,
completing stock checks and filling in for others at short-notice during the Christmas season.

General Assistant: Employer & Location - Indoor Adventure, Gladstone Road, Dallington Fields,
Northampton, NN5 7QA
(March 2008 - April 2008)

• To assist and complete tasks in all four areas of the business such as stock management, general
cleaning, waiting on tables, supervising in lazer-tag games and data-input for the online sector.
• Within my two week work-experience placement I implemented various skills, such as independence and
initiative whilst completing tasks such as data-input and supervising lazer-tag games, during which
various confrontations and equipment problems were dealt with successfully and quickly.
• I also was able to show my general work ethic, such as dedication; I completed various repetitive tasks
required up to 6 hours to complete such as sorting through hundreds/thousands of party bags, and my
enthusiasm for producing the best results no matter what the task, whether it be cleaning or entertaining
customers whilst waiting on tables.
Car Park Attendant: Employer - SEP Events

(Various Dates)

• To direct and assist in the arrival, parking and departure of clientele’s vehicles for various events at
Silverstone Circuit in order to ensure their efficient and timely arrival and departure from the event.
• This job involved a lot of customer interaction over a long period of time, as myself and other colleagues
assist up to 1000 vehicles and many more individuals through-out the course each day.
• One thing in particular that I became aware of was the effectiveness of a simple smile and a nod when
combined with an attentative and friendly posture whilst directing and assisting the clientele. More
