Summary
This article analyzes the problem of cross-border cooperation as an instrument
of regional cooperation policy in the European Union and Moldova’s participation
in euroregions and results of such cooperations. Cooperation between regions makes
them more competetive and developed. Euroregions facilitate good neighbouring and
minimize the risk of new barriers appearance. Reinforcement of Moldova regional
cooperation with neighbour states and EU members, creation of National Fond for
Regional Deveolpment will help the realization of Moldova’s aspiration to be a mem-
ber of the European Union.
