    Instructions for Bioethical Conflict Group Presentation


    I. Content

    1. Describe your bioethical conflict. Explain the reasons why it is a


    conflict. Include a description of the values, principles, rights and/or
    duties being violated.

    2. Discuss your findings about the arguments in favor and against the
    issue in discussion.

    3. Identify the professional nurse’s role in the conflict.

    4. Give an example of a situation illustrating this ethical conflict.

    5. Apply the guides of ethical conduct (ANA Code of Ethics, updated


    journal articles, etc) in the solution of the conflict.

    II. Group Presentation Evaluation Criteria

    1. Creative, professional presentation.


    2. Content must be organized.
    3. Must express clear, well defined ideas and arguments.

    III. Individual Responsibility

    Must hand in a self-reflection on the subject. What does the topic “do to
    you”? How would you use what you learned working this subject to
    improve professional nursing practice? Include bibliography of your part of
    the project.

    Note: Each student must provide the professor an evaluation sheet at the time of the
    presentation.
