AQUAPAS™ N 2025 REDISPERSIBLE POLYMER POWDER

The redispersible powder Aquapas N 2025 is a copolymer of vinyl acetate and ethylene. It is a free-flowing
powder, readily dispersible in water and has good saponification resistance.

Properties and Uses

Aquapas N 2025 is used to promote adhesion and flexibility under a wide variety of climate conditions. It is best
suited for high performing tile cement to get long open time and high adhesive strength after different storage
conditions.

Furthermore, it shows universal properties as it can be used widely in other dry-mortar applications. Fresh mortar
properties and workability can be influenced positively in combination with suitable Culminal® C-series / S-series
cellulose ethers.

Aquapas N2025 is well suited for use in a broad range of tile cement formulations and brings particular
characteristics, achieving various global standard requirements. This is especially the case for medium and high
quality tile cement (e.g., European Norm EN 12004 / ISO13007).

Aquapas N 2025 enhances essential mortar properties like:
• adhesion strength
• flexural strength
• transverse deformation
• workability
• low cement set retardation

Typical dosage levels:

• Superior tile cement: 0.8 – 2.5 %
• Premium tile cement: 2 - 6 %
• High flexible tile cement: 6 – 12 %

Processing

In the production of ready-mixed powders, Aquapas N 2025 should be blended with other dry ingredients in
appropriate mixers. Care should be taken to not allow temperature to rise excessively.

The powdered end products are mixed with water at the jobsite. An extra 5 minutes of maturing time may be
needed, if the products are hand mixed to allow the polymer powder to fully disperse. Aquapas N 2025 is suitable
for machine application, as verified in several lab and construction site tests.

Packaging and Storage

Aquapas N 2025 should be stored in a cool place and protected from moisture. Exposure to high temperature or
humidity will increase the chance of caking. The product should be used within 6 months of receipt. Any opened
containers should be resealed immediately after use. Pallets should not be stacked or put under pressure.
