Disposal Plan of Mouse Trap Racing Project

Introduction of Materials uses

Our company has design a mouse trap vehicle with several materials. The source of energy of the
vehicle is the kinetic force from the mouse trap and its combine the physic theory to make the
vehicle can go as far as it can. The materials uses affect the performance of the vehicle so that we
choose our materials as below
-Mouse trap as energy sources of design
- Balsa Wood as Chasing and axis holder
-Compact discs (Cd) as Rear wheels and gear
-Mini compact discs (Mini Cd) as Front Wheels
-Fishing Line (nylon) as System string
-Steel Beam as system axis
while these days recycle, composting and combustion is the most common of waste
management(Mckeever,1999) but in this disposal plan we are recommending our client transfer the
waste materials to specific dispose company which holding specific skill to dispose the material. So
that , a better environment way of disposition will be carry out.

Aim of the Disposal plan.

The aim of the disposal plan is to provide client have a correct way to dispose the project in safety
and environmental friendly way. While there are different material uses, so that a disposal plan is
important to ensure an environmental friendly and safely disposal way are provided to our client to
dispose the vehicle when the life serving of the vehicle end. In this disposal plan report we will
provide several disposal companies for our client. While the main method of disposal plan is
transferring the used materials to a proper disposal company for dispose properly.

Dispose detail of materials

1. Mouse trap

Mouse trap is the main part of our design as it acts as the sources of energy of the vehicle but it
contain several materials so that a safety separation method is needed to carry out while disposing
the mouse trap.
First, ensure the mouse trap is always open (set up free) during the separation method.
Second, using tools is recommended to carry out the separation to avoid injury.
Last, separate the materials so that it is ready to transfer to disposal company.

2. Balsa Wood
Balsa Wood is the main body chassis of our design. While the Balsa wood is a type of wood and it is
easier to dispose while it is biodegradable. So that, by using tools is always recommended to break
apart the balsa wood with other body such as wheel and mouse trap. Lastly, there are two methods
is recommended to dispose it. A) Composting- bury the wood under the ground. B) Transfer it to a
wood recycle company.
3. Compact Disc/Mini Compact disc [ Cds ]

Compact disc acts as the front and rear wheels material as there are round and light. Moreover,
there are made of mainly plastic therefore combustion is not allowed and recommended to dispose
it. The best way to deal with these plastic is transfer them to a plastic dispose company after
breaking the Cds apart from the design( using tools is recommended). Besides sending to a proper
dispose company, we are recommended client to making use of them such as making handcraft or
decoration.

4. Nylon Fish Line

Nylon fish line acts as the system string and it is also made of mainly plastic materials therefore
combustion is not allowed and recommended to dispose it. Again the best way to deal with these
plastic is transfer them to a plastic dispose company after breaking the fish line apart from the
design.

5. Steel Beam

Steel beam is the only steel we use in our design beside the steel in mouse trap and it acts as the
system axis in our design so that is it strong material. The best way to deal with these steel is
transfer them to a steel dispose company after breaking the steel apart from the design( using tools
is recommended).

Conclusion
This disposal plan is provide for our client to have easier and correct ways to dispose the design
while the end life serving of this vehicle. The main idea of this plan is to provide safety and
environmental friendly way to dispose all the materials use in design.
