7.2. Obiectivele specifice

La finalizarea cu succes a acestei discipline, studenţii vor fi capabili să:

 Explice şi să descrie direcţiile în care s-a dezvoltat proza modernistă britanică în perioada 1890-
1930
 Utilizeze cunoştinţele teoretice în discursul critic, aplicînd noţiunile şi conceptele referitoare la
modernism textelor studiate, precum şi altor texte din aceeaşi perioadă, aparţinînd aceluiaşi spaţiu
cultural, precum şi altor spaţii culturale
 Evalueze o lucrare literară, stabilind clar o anumită abordare critică

9. Coroborarea conţinutului disciplinei cu aşteptările reprezentanţilor comunităţii, asociaţiilor

profesionale şi angajatorilor reprezentativi din domeniul aferent programului
Perspectiva asupra paradigmei modernităţii şi a esteticilor modernismului le oferă studenţilor
posibilitatea unei înţelegeri mai nuanţate a culturii britanice la sfîrşitul secolului XIX şi începutul
secolului XX. Astfel, ei vor avea un fundament solid care îi va ghida în cercetare, sau le va permite să
folosească noţiunile, conceptele şi cunoştinţele acumulate pe parcursul acestui curs şi a seriei de
seminarii, în funcţie orientările lor către mass media, relaţii publice, centre şi instituţii culturale.

10.6 Standard minim de performanţă

Însuşirea unui bagaj teoretic şi terminologic suficient pentru a putea aborda textele studiate la seminar în
contextul paradigmei culturale a modernităţii şi al esteticilor modernismului.

Participarea constantă la discuţiile din clasă, dovedind înţelegerea modurilor de interpretare a relaţiei dintre textele
discutate şi contextul socio-politic, ideologic, precum şi principiile estetice ale perioadei.

Elaborarea şi susţinerea unor prezentări orale (în limba engleză) pe teme de specialitate, dovedind înţelegerea temei
abordate la nivel mediu şi încadrându-se în limitele de timp stabilite anterior.

Redactarea unei lucrări scrise pe o temă dată la un nivel de competenţă lingvistică B2 (lucrare de sfîrşit de semestru,
care are o pondere de 50 % din nota finală).
