Start Programs Outlook Express File Identities Add new identity Give any identity name Ok Switch to User Mailbox Give Display Name Next Give Email Address of the user Next Select Pop3 Give The Domain name in Incoming and Outgoing Mailserver Next Give the password Next Finish Select “Do not import at this time” Finish.

Note: Check Whether POP3 Service Is started.

3. Accessing Mails using MS Outlook

Start Programs MS Office MS Office Outlook 2003 Select New Give profile Name Ok Select Create a email account Next Select Microsoft Exchange Server Next Give Domain Name Give User Name Next Finish.

Start Programs MS Exchange System Manager Expand Servers Select Server name Right click on it Select New Storage Group Give any name Click on Apply Ok.

To Create the User Mailbox in a Mailbox Store

Start Programs Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Users and Computers Select domain (e.g. zoom.com) right click on it Select OU

Start Programs MS Exchange System Manager Expand Folders Select Public Folders Right click Select New Public Folder Give any name Apply Ok.

To Post information in the Public Folder

Select the created Public Folder Click on content in the right pane Login as Administrator Click on new Login as administrator Type any message Post.

Select File Import and Export Next Import from another Program or File Next Select File type(.PST) Next Browse to the Location Where the Backup file is stored Select the file Open Next Select the folder you want to recover(eg: Inbox) Next Finish.

Open MS Exchange System Manager Expand Tools Select Mailbox Recovery Center Right Click Select Add Mailbox Store Advanced Find Now Select the Store in Which you have the mailbox of the user Ok Ok Select the mailbox of the user Right Click Find Match Next Finish Once again Right Click the user mailbox Select Reconnect Next Next Finish.

2. Message Tracking Center

To Enable Message Tracking

Open System Manager Expand Servers Select Server name Right click Check the option “Enable Message Tracking” and “Enable Subject Logging and Display” Apply Ok

Upgrade from Exchange 2000 native mode Run Forest Prep Run Domain Prep Run Setup Now Select Upgrade in the Action Finish.
