Dear Member of the Warsaw Community Schools Family,

We are creating a strategic plan that will impact our school corporation and the community for the future.
This strategic plan will provide the filter to make great decisions and the framework for our actions as we
move forward to serve our students and community. The strategic plan will include our mission, strategic
objectives, action plans, and the measurement tools to chart our progress. In order to create a strategic plan
that best reflects the hopes and dreams of our community, we request the participation of residents committed
to the future success of our school corporation. The participation of students, parents, community members,
staff, and system leaders is necessary to help create the future of WCS.
The strategic planning core team will be facilitated by Dr. Steve Barone, president of Transformation
Systems, Ltd. Steve has worked with school systems for the past 21 years in the United States and abroad.
This letter serves as your invitation to apply to be part of the strategic planning process. By applying
you may be selected to serve on one or more of the following essential teams:
Core Planning Team - members will contribute to the creation of a long term vision and plan for
WCS;
Action Planning Team - members will create the specific steps to accomplish the strategic plan;
Measurement Team - members will develop the tools to monitor and assess our annual progress.
Team members will work together during the 2011-2012 school year and the results of this collaboration will
be recommended to the Warsaw Community Schools Board of Education on February 27, 2012. The
responsibility of your participation will require a commitment of time and energy. Please review the
obligation necessary for each team described on the Participation Opportunities document.
In our supportive community, we anticipate a great response to help shape the future of the school

We will be identifying those that have selected for the core planning team and will inform participants in
April. There will be additional opportunities to participate on the measurement and action teams. We will
inform selected participants later this spring of their team assignments. If you have questions, please contact
