On Saturday 9th April, Westminster Park Residents Association have arranged a ‘Songs

They will be singing before and after supper. The supper will be up to our usual standard

most of Westminster Park for the last nine years. Tickets are available from any committee

Pavilion
opens just
in time
for new
season
A new pavilion at Westminster
Park has been completed and
officially opened to coincide
with the start of the bowling and
croquet season.
Westminster Park Bowling Club, Saltney Bowling Club and Chester Croquet Club will
be located there.
The project was funded by Cheshire West and Chester Council with a donation from
the Croquet Association. A kitchen was also donated by Deelux Kitchens.
Councillor Richard Short, Executive Member for Culture and Recreation, said: ”I am
very pleased for the Bowls and Croquet clubs; they have operated under very difficult
conditions for some years and it is great that they have proper facilities at long last.
“The new pavilion is very much a local success story with the majority of funding
coming from the Council’s Greenspace team.
“The new facilities will provide much needed storage space, is fully accessible and will
enable clubs to accommodate members as well as visiting teams.
“The pavilion has been relocated between the bowling greens and croquet lawn to
provide improved viewing for spectators.”
