Project goal
The project was initiated to provide a major vendor of
telecommunications infrastructure with a state-of-the-art data
center to support the following tasks:
• Integration of customer’s equipment into a fully established
mobile telecommunications network
• Performance of end-to-end network testing within the
infrastructure of the Vodafone Test & Innovation Center
• Testing and verification of new technologies, product updates
and releases against a state-of-the-art service landscape of
one of the world’s most innovative mobile operators
• Interconnection with other suppliers throughout the world to
assess interoperability
Challenges
Change is a key component of the working process at the
Vodafone Test & Innovation Center. We
are constantly integrating new
technologies, services, applications and
devices into our test environment, to
enable our customers to experience and
test innovations well before going live.
That’s why one of the key challenges of
the project was to ensure a highly stable
and reliable test environment, while at
the same time achieving almost
unrestricted flexibility in profiting from
one of the world’s most dynamic and
advanced telecommunications test
environments. Operational stability and
flexibility had to be balanced for optimum
fulfillment of our customer’s business
demands.
