Introduction:
Online Student Registration System
helps to store the details of the students and
check their respective examination results.
This is web based application and is designed
to keep track of all the semesters, exams
results of the students all through their course
years. Further it could be expanded to a full
fledged ‘Student Portal’.
The system could be of
immense help to the students and as well
administrative staff since all tedious manual
process is automated.
The basic purpose of the
system is to reduce valuable time and efforts
of both administrative staff and students. This
could thereby prove to be a reliable and
organized approach towards student
management.
 Generally in
colleges,Whenever an exam results are
out.The Staff has to enter the marks of each
and every student in an Excel Sheet to Print
the Content So that the Students can see
their marks on the Notice Board.This Project
provides an online web portal which can be
used to check the results, send an admission
and many other valuable services.

Furthermore,the Student can edit their

profile.For example,if there is any change in
address,or a change in the mobile
number,email ID etc the details can be
changed via INTERNET.The administrator has
the privilege of accessing the complete
database.The admin has access to all
database functionalities.The Parental
Members can access his son’s/Daughter’s
Profile to check his marks.
Existing System:
The existing System has
many disadvantages. The student’s portals
now – a – days only provide them with limited
information such as results or some
notifications.They are not provided with online
submission of forms , Online Profile editing to
make any changes to their details for their
respective colleges . The Existing system
lacks interactivity . Another drawback is that
only the website administrator has the
privilege to Enter new data into the database .
Since there is only one admin, the work
needed to enter the whole data for the entire
college will be Immense

Current System:
The Proposed System
focuses on security , privacy and prioritized
database access. The authentication system
verifies whether the current user is a valid
member of the college or not . The admin
login
The workload to enter some new data into
database will be reduced because each
branch staff admin will update their
respective Data.

Software Requirements:
Front-end: JAVA , JAVAscript , DHTML.
Back-end: Oracle.
OS:Windows 98/XP.

Hardware Requirements:

RAM : 1 GB.
Processor : 2 GHZ.
Internet : Required.
