   literature survey

Comment: Current state of the research problem.

2.2. Identification and significance of the problem

Comment: How new or unique is the idea? How significant is the scientific and/or
technical challenge?

2.3. Technical objective (also specify s/w and h/w requirements)

Comment: Should specify in detail, all supporting hardware and software to be used in
the research.

2.4. Detail design (Technical approach)

Comment: This section outlines the methods which will be used to achieve the research
aim. The method selected should be valid and referenced to the literature

3. Project plan or schedule

Comment: The time line that indicates the time frame within which various parts of the
project will be completed. The value of including this is that it demonstrates the
feasibility of the project.

Guidelines for the RRD

1. Scientific/Technical Quality
Please show the strength and innovativeness of the idea and the technical
approach. The following optional questions are suggested:
To what extent does the proposed work build upon or move beyond the current
state-of-the-art?
How new or unique is the idea?
How significant is the scientific and/or technical challenge?
Is a breakthrough possible?
Have you presented your concepts thoroughly?
Please demonstrate your knowledge of the subject and review your and group
members previous work

2. Significance
Please show the significance of the technical and/or economic benefits of the
proposed work, if successful. Please develop a sound and adequate work plan to
show progress toward proving the feasibility of the concept.

3. Specified deliverables
The deliverables should be specific. They include specific research results in
progress reports and final report, as well as hardware if applicable.
