Thoughts of Zero

A path to self discovery

About this book
Every one of us tries to learn, but the scope of learning increases when we
learn from experiences of others. Consider this book as an attempt to describe
experience of a human. The purpose of this book is to help you see this world
in a unified way. If there are things that you can learn, the book solves its
purpose. If some experiences need corrections, forgive me that I could not
present myself in a better way. The way of knowledge is long and one needs to
continuously learn for himself.
No matter how much we learn, many questions still remain unanswered. No
matter how long our human civilization has existed, the most basic questions
about this world still remain unanswered. This book is an attempt to help you
show a way to go ahead and explore answers to these questions. It will help
you to understand who you are and what this world is. Feel free to accept or
reject anything inside the book. It doesn’t matter whether you favour science
or religion or any other thing, there are numerous things yet to be explored.
Hopefully this book will help you in doing so.

“Teaching a person how to swim is better than

showing him every part of the ocean.”
Preface
What is the taste of water and how many colours are there- answers to these
questions depend upon who is answering them. If you ask a human, he might
say that water is tasteless. But any other species might find water tasty.
Similarly a human has limitations to the colours that he can see. But there are
other species that can see colours beyond human limitations. Even two
humans perceive same things differently.
When you hear about a battle of musicians, how do you choose which
musician is better? Can one melody be better than other? If you say one
weapon is better than other, you are not taking into account the capacity of
the person using it. You see weapon and the one who wields it as two different
things. Is this the reality? Even the definition of weapon may change from one
person to another. Similar goes for every other thing. What is the highest limit
any worrier or a musician can achieve?
Our being human affects the way we perceive our surrounding. Our body
affects our way of thinking. Hence it becomes extremely important to
understand who we are. No one else can tell you. Nor is there any place where
it is written. After all you see this world with your own eyes. No one else can
tell you how a colour will appear to you. Any one else’s perception may not be
correct.
We choose various paths. Some take the path of a scholar and some of a
musician. Some of us take path of a warrior, some of preacher, some of
religion and some of science. There is no one who does not take any path. Not
all paths have a name. But yes, they all lead somewhere. So choice of path is
personal. To understand your path, you must understand who you are. The
river at the mountain makes her way to the sea through unknown paths.
Similarly if your goal is clear, you too will make your own path. No obstacle will
be able to hold you back.

1. Thoughts of Zero
A true Knowledge is said to be one that helps a person in this world.
Knowledge is not confined to living things only.
Teaching a person how to swim is better than showing him every
part of the ocean yourself. After all you do not yourself know ocean
completely. Knowledge is like an ocean. Everyday there are new
things to be discovered. Educational Institute should merely provide
a light of guidance. A good student can discover the whole world
himself with it.
If everyday as you learn, it looks to you that there is awful lot to
learn, you are on the right path.
Knowledge has no bound. We create our own pool of knowledge.
This pool should act as a guidance using which you can understand
sea of universe.
Teaching is a bidirectional process. It is like creating a drawing. The
larger canvas you have, the larger sketch can be drawn on it.
If you can not see red colour, how can I ask you to observe red colour
flowers. You must first learn to see red colour. If basics are wrong,
you will not go much further.
If you are a human, never forget that. Because your learning process
will depend on the way you think, behave and act. Being a human,
you will have some constraints around you. But do not think that
what you see is actually true. There are other species as well. They
do not think the way you think. Learn from them how to view this
world in different way.
Nature has only one law: Every thing happens to achieve stability. All
natural forces work in accordance with this rule. Every other rule
that you know is its derivative.
If you wear green glasses, the world looks green. But the world is not
green. Clean your preoccupied thoughts before gathering new
thoughts. Repeat this process continuously. You judge new
knowledge with your own knowledge which itself might be
incomplete.
One who gains knowledge knows that there are no rules. Rules are
for and from humans. Unless you have universal knowledge, every
rule created by you will have many exceptions.
Know yourself. Then know others.
If lens is faulty, the view will not be clear. You can not rely on the
image. But to know that the image is faulty, you must know that
there is fault in the observer. Similarly nature is same for all of us; it
is we who interpret according to our own lens of knowledge.
Continuously clean your mind and thoughts.
If occurrence in nature shakes your knowledge, consider updating
your knowledge.
Knowledge has no purpose in itself. It is not good or bad. The person
who acquires it uses it for his purpose.
2.
Knowledge is not bound to humans only. All species including those
whom humans have not yet met have knowledge.
A human thinks in an abstract way. He gives name to everything,
defines shape and boundaries for them. Human has bounded himself
with definitions. Break these boundaries to understand this universe.
Always remember, every word is a definition in itself. Human
definition can only partially define an object. Nature has no
definition. Hence if we describe something we leave various details
undescribed. So I can not completely describe this world with these
human languages. I can only give you examples.
Feelings are expressed only partially by human languages and
expressions. Even expression which has a common understanding
among almost all living beings can not show us true feelings of
others. Even languages are abstract way to express something.
For example as you read these lines, following things happen.
I express my feelings via my thoughts. These thoughts are random. I
give them a concrete form via my language. But language describe
my feelings partially.
You have your own knowledge, your own definition of every word
that I say. Some of them may be common and some different. Hence
it is more likely that you understand what I am trying to say. But did
you truly understand what I was really trying to say. May be yes, may
be no. It is because if you take my words and try to understand it
with an open mind, without corrupting it with any wrong knowledge
(which you might unknowingly have), you might be able to
understand what I am trying to say.
You see that knowledge can never be transmitted completely by any
language that you may have. This is the very reason even if I had
highest level of knowledge, you might not understand it. Even above
sentences will be correct or incorrect according to your definition of
word ‘Knowledge’ and ‘Understanding’.
A beautiful mountain, a tall building, even a colour has a different
meaning for everyone. Does a green colour for you is a green colour
for another species? Also is green colour observed by me is same as
observed by you- because if green colour looks red to me, then
whenever you show me your green colour, I will say it’s green. But
my perception is different from your’s.
What if you see only few colours and not all? What if all our scientific
instruments, all human perception only partially observe this world?
Then you will never get complete picture of this universe, leave aside
understanding what you can see. Hence always keep your thoughts
open to changes. After all there are others who can observe this
world in different prospective.
Enhance your knowledge. But more important is to refine the
knowledge that you already have. It’s because this very knowledge is
the filter through which you receive new knowledge. If filter is
impure, no matter how much knowledge that you have, it will be
useless.
Knowledge is like water- shapeless, tasteless. Any impurity will
corrupt your entire knowledge base. Thus continuously refine
yourself. Walk on this path with an open mind; do not consider any
rule as absolute. There is no stopping because universe has no end.
3. A game of Chess
Consider a person being introduced to a modified chess game. This
chess game has infinite numbers of squares. Also there are many
pieces. If no one is there to explain him, how will he learn? True, by
observing it. As moves are made he makes some rules. Using these
rules he tries to further understand the games. Sometimes, rules
must be broken to understand new moves and new rules need to be
formed. As there are lot of pieces, there are a lot of moves. By
observing the game for some time the person can guess what the
game actually is. But you understand that unlike normal chess game,
this game has lots of moves. Also there are some moves that can be
made under particular conditions. Also the person can only observe a
small portion of the board at a time. The person can say that he has
completely understood the game only when he has seen all the
moves and also no new piece enters into his scope.
But alas! There are lot of pieces following their own moves. They do
not see us. They just interact with each other. Whole board is active.
Some moves occur rarely while some moves happen frequently.
There might be some pieces that the person may never see. Also the
board being enormous, the person can never see the complete
picture of the board at once. Hence the person can only get an idea
about the little scope that he has. Even if the person analyses the
scope for a long time, what about those pieces and moves that take
an eternity to occur? They might affect all the rules assumed by the
person till now. Considering the short life that a person has and the
way he observes, the rules of this game are difficult to understand
completely.
Similar is the case with our universe. There are lot of things
happening around us. There are many things affecting us. We can
only see only a small portion of this universe, that image of universe
which is over thousand year old. But is it true whatever we see? Are
we observing everything? How can we just assume that only
whatever we can see, smell, touch and listen to exists and others do
not? How can we be too sure of all the scientific rules? What if there
are events in the universe we never see (may be because we are
human)?
Like above chess game, the Universe does not stop for us to
understand it. It keeps on following its own path. It is us that need to
open our mind for new rules.
So where do we get the true picture of this universe? If none of the
rules are complete, how to complete them? How do we observe
those things that we cannot sense?
Understand that the word ‘unobservable’ is for you. Not for this
universe. So as long as you try to see this world with human eye,
there will always be limitations. As to observe an experiment, you
must be outside it and not be a part of it, similarly try to understand
this world with not with your human mind but with an open mind, a
mind that has no preconceptions, no biasing, no rejection for new
thoughts and lot of space.
Neither everything can be shown nor can everything be proved. The
best way to proceed on path of knowledge is with an open mind. As
a new player in a game, make rules, break the rules and make new
one.
Observe this universe.
4.
Knowledge that we gain emerge in form of island in sea. They
increase in number as we gain more experiences. They appear
separated from each other initially. But as we proceed further, we
see that they are not different but a small part of the huge planet on
which sea exists. Similarly we gain knowledge in parts. But they soon
combine together. True knowledge thus helps us to see this world in
unified form. After all it is we who see this world in a disconnected
way. What if this whole world is connected?
As a human we learn in every possible way we can. Observation is
the best way to learn new things. We also share our experiences with
each other. This helps us to learn about those things and places
which are distant from us. Books are one of the ways we forward our
thoughts to others. Another way is teaching someone. This is the
way we have gathered our present knowledge base. We found
answers to many of our questions. All that we observe- universe,
stars, planets, life, matter, forces, aroma, colours, sounds etc has
been analysed by us with our senses and scientific tools.
Still we find that there is something lacking. Though we are
progressing, it looks as if we have become stagnant. Whatever we
are doing today is mostly modified form of the things we have
already discovered. Large bridges, buildings, hospitals, research
centres etc. There is nothing wrong. But where are we heading? Why
is it that after all this year we ponder upon the very question of our
existence? All the knowledge that we have just gives us a relation
between things in this world. Some basic questions still remain
unanswered. We must not forget that our whole knowledge is based
on one basic foundation- our experience. You already know that
there are things that you might never experience. It seems our
knowledge still has limitations.
Where do we get answers from? Where do we find truth? Why is it
that even after all these years of our existence we have not found
these answers? After all there are lot of us searching for truth. Many
are said to have found it. Still we do not understand. Is even our
combined effort of human civilization and centuries of experience
not enough to achieve this ‘Truth’?
The problem is that when we try to know about those things which
we normally do not observe, all our present knowledge fails. It is like
trying to observe colour of the colourless. There is no starting and no
end. Even if I get this universal knowledge, it is I who can understand
it. If I preach you, write books- I will only be giving you hints, the
reason being our language which is an abstracted way to express
thoughts. How can I tell you that see the colourless, hear the
soundless if you cannot understand it?
So if our knowledge base is not sufficient in solving our problem,
where do we start from? Well, let’s keep our knowledge aside for a
while. Though it looks easy, it is a difficult task. You even think in a
language, don’t you? See how much you depend on it. What if I ask
you to think but not in any language? Can you imagine it? In what
language do other creatures think in? If you understand what I am
saying, you have just experienced something different.
Let us go to a teacher who already has answers to all our questions-
Nature. But as I have already said you leave your knowledge behind,
do not ask why go back to the same old nature. Become a child and
let the Mother Nature teach you. Nature has no language. The
knowledge present there is in purest form. Expand your mind and
keep it clear and large. Are you ready for this? If you are ready to go
on this journey, you will get that joy you can never ever imagine.
5. Understand yourself
Before gathering knowledge, it is necessary to understand who we
actually are? If you don’t understand who you are, how can you
understand others correctly? After all you are the centre of this
whole process.
So who are you? Describe yourself.
Answer to this question which may look like this. “My name is XYZ. I
live at XYZ. My education qualifications are…. My hobbies are…..I am
good at…..I want to be….”
Now understand this.
You exist even if you don’t have any of above mentioned things.
These things have been given to you by this world around you. If you
were born in a jungle, you might not even know a language. But, still
you exist. So these things are not you. These things are definitions
used by others. These things help others to understand your external
self. So you can leave these things.
Who are you now?
Answers may be -“I am a living being. I am a human. I have a body. I
have eyes, ears, skin, tongue, nose, arms, legs…..and what not. Also I
am very aggressive/emotional/brave/polite/selfish etc”
Do above statement describe you? Think openly. A person who
cannot see, hear or speak does exist. Even if I loose my arms or my
legs, I will be me. Also, if you were alone on a planet, with no other
living thing around you, would you show any emotion you just
mentioned earlier? You learn about emotions from the world around
you. Even the way you think depends on whatever you have learned
till now. So these things are also an add-on to who we actually are. If
you leave these things, you will get a clearer view about yourself.
Doing this is not easy; reason being that the boundary between you
and properties attached to you is often blurred.
If above parts of the body is not you, then where do you exist? You
understand that almost every important body-part can be replaced.
But do you change? No. This means that your internal organs are also
part of your body and not yours.
You may say that you are the brain. What about a person who looses
his memories. Then he looses his name, his education and many
other things. So who is he now? He is there, is he not? Also there
have been medical cases when a patient’s brain stops but the body
continues to function. So the body is alive, isn’t it?
You are not defined even by your brain. So logically, if you also leave
your body, you must exist.
Many of you might be asking how that is possible. If we loose our
body, where are we? Understand that body is a medium through you
interact with world. It gets damaged and heals itself. But you and
your body are two different things.
So leave your body behind. Who are you now? What do you mean by
existence? Is it that the things we can observe exist and others
don’t? How can you be too sure of this fact? You have a human body.
You are provided with senses to observe this world. But these senses
have there limits. If somehow, you loose all your memory, you will
become like a child that knows nothing. Then do you think the
concept of you exist anymore? When you say ‘I’, you talk about all
your attributes surrounding you. This is not really you. And it is your
choice whether you want to describe yourself with these attributes
or with real you that lies deep within.
To differentiate between you and your body, let us understand what
is your body?
Human science has provided us deep understanding of what a living
body is. Almost all the creatures have a body. Let us observe this
‘body’.
You can control your body, can’t you? It follows your order.
Normally, when you try to grip something, you hold it with your
hand. You try to see and eyes do there job. Almost all your senses
work on your will. Or do they?
Our sense organs are like modules. They are made up of components
like cartilages, bones, muscles, blood vessels etc (go to a biology lab
and you will definitely see a muscle chart of human body with names
of muscles on it). When you walk, you just try to walk. The body does
the job automatically. Consider internal organs. There you do not
even think. The job is done perfectly. When you touch a hot flame,
hand moves away automatically (Reflex Action). What would have
happened if you had to think to make your heart beat? Similarly if
you had to control blood flow, hearing, blood purification, and
hormone secretion (too biological!), it would have been an uneasy
situation.
But you don’t have to control them. They work without your
knowledge. Our body is like a super machine where each part knows
its job perfectly fine and lives with other parts with harmony.
Similarly there are numerous systems working simultaneously in our
body. Our brain provides stimulus to other parts. If you think that
you and the brain are the same thing, think again. Even brain is made
of components. Its working is not controlled by you. It itself receives
oxygen from blood.
Thus we see that our body is like a machine. All its components work
together. Every species has a different machine. It is this machine
that differentiates a species from another (at least for us).
But what is it that leaves the body non-functional. When do we say
that the body is ‘dead’? What is the difference between living and a
dead thing? In simple term a living thing can act normally whereas a
dead thing does not acts. The thing (if any) which makes the
difference between the living and the dead is called by various name
all over the world. There is something that exists, we all know that.
But at present do not add definition to this thing. Wait for some
time.
For Computer geeks- Let’s compare our human body with a
computer. Every computer has a processor- similar to our brain,
memory similar to human memory, an operating system similar to
our thoughts, hardware similar to human organs etc. What a
computer can do depends on the type of hardware it has and the
type of operating system installed on it. An operating system of
computer can be changed as we change when we gather new
experiences and knowledge. It can be said that all human possess an
operating system, the version of which depends on the surrounding
in which they grow up. As we grow, we add new features to it. For
example a newly born baby has minimum knowledge. All he can do is
see, smell, cry, sleep, drink etc. But slowly he learns to speak, to walk
and run. You see- just like upgrading operating system. An animal
learns to do other things. It has another type of hardware and
surroundings, so different operating system.
Thus it looks logical to say that a computer works on electricity.
Similarly any machine works on a power source. But as computers
can change but the underlying force will always remain the same-
electricity. Similarly a machine uses a power source to act. But the
power source has nothing to do in how the machine will work.
From above analogy if we try to learn something, we can come to
very simple yet beautiful results. There is a life force that drives us.
But remember that we are not this body or any of its part. How we
act has nothing to do with this life force but with the body. It is the
body that shows emotions, memories, pain, happiness, sadness,
excitement. Life force only gives the energy. If we loose our body, we
loose all above mentioned things. Think upon this.
So do you now understand who you are? In actuality you are
nothing. When you say that you exist, you say, feel and think this
from this body. Whatever you think you are goes away with the
body: memories, pain, and emotions- everything. What is left is the
something which you may call life form.
But as you understand that we all have different understanding for
every event that we observe. Preconceptions often bind our
thoughts. As no information can be absolute, why should you believe
in whatever is said until now? The answer lies in the chess game we
observed earlier. Only trial and error methods can provide us right
path to knowledge. Always remember, walk with a free mind, and do
not deceive yourself. Whatever you know might help you learn more.
So observe yourself. Try to find the answer to the very basic
question: Who are you?
When you start searching yourself, you might wonder by looking at
your body. Don’t you think that this body is what you are? The
answer is yes and no. Yes, because you control this body. No,
because you and body are different things. As you learn more, you
will find that this understanding of who you are will also change.
Now tell me, why do you eat? Why do you sleep? Why do you feel
happy, sad, and angry? By now you must understand that it is your
body and not you that feel these emotions.
Probably you might have already known what I have told you till
now. When you discover more, you will come to know more facts
about this world and yourself.
6.
Whatever you know about yourself is both correct and incorrect.
Correct if you consider yourself a specimen made of flesh and bones
which has arms, legs, sensory organs etc. Then you call yourself with
a name. The world around you knows you with your name, your
beauty, your power, your knowledge, your bravery and even for your
weakness. When you say you are, you are referring to these
attributes associated with this body.
But you may be incorrect if you consider that the very fact that this
body with which all these attributes are attached is different from
what you actually are. You are in reality a force that resides in this
body. Hence in reality, we may not know much about ourself.
Hence whenever we do an action, it is guided by a motive. When you
eat, you must be hungry (for food or for test), when you walk, you
want to reach somewhere, when you wear clothes, you want to
cover your body (from environment or for looking beautiful). There is
always a motive behind everything we do.
But are all actions decided by us? Can you control your sleep? Why is
it that even after hard thinking, some forgotten thoughts elude you
and you are unable to remember them? These are some of the
examples that show that we do not always control our body. When
we think, it is we who decide what we think, but we do not control
functionality of our mind. We eat but we do not control our
digestion. We see, but do not fully know how we understand what
we see. Most of these things are done by this body automatically.
Hence this very thought that we control this body is an illusion.
There are various other examples. When we say that we did
something, we say when we did something consciously. But there
are countless incidents where we do not even think before we do.
Removing Hand from flame or pin, knee jerk, sensing taste is not
controlled by us. We say that we think. But we do not fully control
what we think.
You can see that we do not totally control this body. It is equally true
that this body does not completely control us. This is like a battle of
control between our body and us.
But does it matter who controls whom? After all even if you and your
body are different, they have been made to coexist. So does it really
matters?
When does this body control you? Consider a situation. Your
stomach is full but there is your favourite ice-cream before you.
What do you do? If you eat, your body wins the battle. If you control
your desire, you win this battle. This type of battle for control is
always there, whether you want to participate in it or not.
Remember, this body is a machine. In this machine, there are various
parts like organs, bones, muscles, nerves, glands, mind, senses etc.
They keep on doing there task. They act independently but the result
is combined. Whatever this body desires is not always correct. Hence
you must draw a line when you are fulfilling your physical needs and
when you are overdoing it.
In short, it is you who must control this body of yours and not the
other way round. If you can control yourself, then only you can start
searching the world around you. If you are bounded by your body
and thoughts, how can you be free to see the sky? Break these
chains and free yourself.
You are water my friend. This world is water. If you know yourself,
you will know this world. To mix in this world, all that you need is this
realization.
7.
Let us go to a source which can teach us various things about this world. Even
answers to some of the most basic questions. Let us now observe some thing.
Understand that the source will not teach us. It is not human. So it has no
feeling. It is we who have a choice whether or not to gather experience from it.
So promise me that you will not just blindly believe me, that you will try to
observe clearly without any preconception, that you will learn from the very
sources of knowledge. The reason is that knowledge has various forms. It is you
who wants to achieve it. So you have no one to defeat, no one to lie to except
to you. As you learn more and more, you will observe that you were wrong
about many things. Even your understanding of what real knowledge actually is
might change. But it takes time to learn new things and more time to actually
believe and apply new knowledge. So be patient. As not knowing a thing
completely is not good, wait until you get a full picture.
Knowledge is distributed everywhere. Only thing that you need is observation.
8. Little things
Every little thing can help you understand way of nature. To find out
how they work, observe them as closely as possible. Observation can
be different but the thing that is being observed is same.

Water
A pond filled with water has a surface. Observe this surface.
Throw a stone into the water. What happens? The stone creates
waves on water surface. The pond does not create waves on its own.
When air touches its surface, even then waves are created. You see
that nothing happens to the surface on its own.
The waves created on the surface have a very interesting property. If
you pause there motion for sometime, you will observe that there
are various ups and downs on the surface. The thing that needs to be
observed is that the ups in the water are formed by the water taken
from the downs. If we let the water settle down, these ups and
downs will combine together and the surface will become stable
again.
The number of waves generated depends upon the number of stone
you throw into the pond and how big your stone is. But no matter
how hard you try, the water will settle down after some time.
Also if there no external forces (underground water or rain), the level
of water does not rises or falls.
A string
Take two opposite walls of a room. Tie a string from one wall to the
other one. Make it tight.
If you pluck the string it vibrates. It does not vibrate on its own.
The string can vibrate with various frequencies. Choose any point on
the string and pluck it from there. You might be able to see a wave
form.
Initially the string has no energy, so there are no waves present.
When you pluck it, the waves are formed. But the string vibrates not
in a plane but in three dimensions. There are multiple waves that are
present in the string. Total energy generated and the waveform
formed depends on how hard you pluck and the place you choose to
do so.
At any time, net amplitude of a string is zero.
After some time the wave looses all its energy. All the waves
diminish and string comes to a rest. You can restart the vibration and
observe again and again. The string will again come to rest.
Natural forces
Have you ever observed that for any thing to happen, a force is
required? - To push an object, to walk, to speak etc. Everything that
according to you can happen requires a cause. But if you observe
closely, you will see that there are always two forces acting against
each other. If you push an object, you experience an equal and
opposite force. When you walk, you apply force on the ground
backward and the opposite reaction (frictional force) helps you move
forward. These are some of the basic observations you can make
yourself.
There are always forces that make things happen. Mechanical,
electrical, thermal, gravitational are the type of forces you are
familiar with.
When can you apply force to something? Can a man control an
electromagnetic wave himself? But surely he can apply force on an
object which has mass. But what if an object has small mass? If you
try to apply force on it, it moves immediately. So you get back a small
reaction. No matter how strong force you want to apply on it, the
actual force applied will always be small. This is because force you
can apply depends on mass of body as well. So what if a body has no
mass?
Can mechanical forces affect electromagnetic forces? It does not
appear to happen. But you must have read about strong gravity
affecting path of light.
Zero
‘All of us have always had something. This thing is nothing. ‘. This
sounds like a joke. But it also has a deeper meaning.
We know about a number in mathematics which we call Zero. Let us
remove it from number line (a list containing all numbers you can
think of) for some time. Now this Zero is nothing.
Now tell me a number to generate.
Suppose your answer is 1, 5, 23, 999, -23 etc. Now see what this zero
can do.
If we generate two numbers 1 and -1 whose addition is zero, we get
our number 1. If we join them, zero is restored.
Similarly I can write Zero in following manner.
0 = -1+1 = -5+5 = -23+23 = -999+999 = -23+23
You can generate any number with this zero. The only condition is
that an opposite number equal in magnitude is also generated. Not
only real number, even any complex numbers can be generated.
Why only complex number, think about almost any number and you
can generate it with this zero. Thus zero means nothing. But it can
create entire mathematic science.
So everything in mathematics can be created from nothingness
called Zero.
Waves
You must have seen a rainbow once. There are various (infinite?)
colours in it. Light that we see is a part of electromagnetic wave.
Waves have an important property. It appears that two or more
waves can exist at same place at the same time. Also when two or
more waves cross each other, they do so as if there is only single
wave. You have observed wave formation in water. There can be
various wave sources in water at the same time. They form
concentric circles. If you throw two stones, two wave sources are
created. Each wave propagates and as they cross each other, they
combine. But they separate again and appear as if they were not
affected at all.
This world of ours has properties very similar to waves.
An Experiment
Have you ever done an experiment? What is an experiment? Let us
say that anything you do to analyse and observe something is called
an experiment (though anyone can surely modify this definition for
better).
When you do an experiment, you observe something, don’t you?
When you first mixed sugar in water you observed that it dissolved.
When you burn a paper, it turns to ashes. When you burn hydrogen
gas, you get heat and water vapours. Thus experiment provides us
with most probable outcome of a sequence of event events.
You can tell what will happen to an experiment, if you have already
done that a number of times earlier. You can tell what will happen if
you release a ball from some height (say from your table-edge). Why
not, it will fall. When you do a new experiment, you do not its
outcome. But once you repeat that experiment a number of times,
you can be quite sure about your results.
But tell me, can the book tell what is going to happen to it the next
moment while you gold it in your hand? No. Does a paper know that
it is going to burn? Can the hydrogen gas tell what will happen next?
No. So how can you?
You can tell this because you have seen the outcome a number of
times earlier. You were the one who were doing the experiment. The
things that are part of experiment can not tell what will happen next.
Music
Music is any sound pattern that pacifies your mind. You must have
heard music. It may be traditional or modern. Even voice of your
loved ones can appear musical to you. As long as it sooths you, you
will call it music.
What is difference between noise and music? You may say that any
sound that creates disturbance is noise. Noise is opposite of music.
Have you heard music of various places of this world? They are
different in style, in tone and the musical instruments they use. You
can never truly say that all of them are good. There will be many of
them that will appear as noise to you. If you don’t like that music,
you will say what kind of music is this. It is noise and crap.
But there are people who love that music that you might dislike.
Noise to you might appear as music to others. Similarly your music
might distract someone else forcing him to ring your door-bell. You
must understand that no such thing like music and noise. It is we
who chose what is music and noise for us.
Water vapours
Take some water in a closed glass jar. Now heat the jar until all the
water evaporates. Let it cool for some time. Now what do you see?
Initially when temperature was high, there were only water vapours.
As temperature drops, some water starts appearing on the glass
surface. After a while almost all the vapours will disappear and you
will have a glass jar with water droplets on the surface.
Are all the droplets of the same size? No. If you have to choose a
droplet from amongst them, can you choose one? Yes, you can.
There are many to choose from. But look, the droplet you just chose
joined with another droplet to form new one. Now where is your
droplet? Where did it go? You can choose another one. But soon it
will combine with another one to form new droplet and after some
time you will have almost no droplet left. The water at the base is all
that is left.
Tell me, where is your droplet? It got back to its original form- water.
Though it itself was water, we called it a droplet. We distinguished it
on the basis of its position and size. But it was always water and
nothing else. Vapour, droplets are just different forms of same thing-
water.
Can this help in understanding our cosmos?
An atom
An atom is considered the smallest independent unit of which any
material is made of. So gold is made of gold atom. Silver is made of
silver atom. An atom appears to consist of some particles. We have
named these sub particles as electron, protons and neutrons. Further
researches have revealed that these particles appear to be made of
smaller particles. Further scientific research will reveal further
results.
Every atom has an atomic structure. This structure describes how the
sub particles are arranged in an atom. Protons and neutrons form
the core and electron forms around it a high speed path that appears
to circulate this nucleus. The exact path of electrons can not be
exactly predicted.
Every electron is said to have some energy associated with it. Further
every electron can stay in only those path which matches with the
energy the electron has. So there are various paths around the
nucleus- just like our solar system. Around the sun our planets
revolve. Each planet follows an orbit. Similarly an electron can reside
in only those paths whose energy level matches with that of the
electron. Now the higher energy the electron posses, further away
from the nucleus will its most likely path be.
In an atom, an electron is affected by the nucleus and every other
electron near it. Hence the behaviour of electron depends on the
forces around it. Also this electron affects every other particle
around it. But an electron exists individually. It follows its own path.
Yet the path is decided by both the forces around it and the electron
itself. If the electron gains energy, it moves to higher energy level. If
it looses energy, it moves to lower energy level.
A jar full of water
Take a glass jar that is completely full of water. Close it from all sides
and make it airtight. Now if you do not push or shake this jar, you
can not interfere with what happens inside the jar. Do you see
anything happening inside it? No. Why? It is because movement of
water will be invisible to you.
But see closely. Are water particles stationary? No. They keep
moving. They all will be following a random path. As a swimmer, they
move in this great sea of water. But can a water particle move
around itself. No. Some external force is required to make it move,
just like the ground provides you the reaction to move forward. So
where does water particle gets this external force from? You cannot
provide that force. It is shown that gravity has little effect on this
random motion. Hence even gravity cannot make this random
motion.
Also if one of all the water particle moves, another water particle
must take its place otherwise a void will be created there. Also the
particle must push nearby particles to make a path for its motion.
This only means that every particle is ready to push other particle
and another particle is ready to take its place. The volume of the jar
does not change. Neither have you applied any force. Observations
have revealed that this random motion never stops. So where does
water gets this energy from such that it can make every particle
inside it move yet externally no force is observable? Where are all
the particles heading to? Will they ever become stable?
Also think this way. A water particle moves by making its way by
removing other particles in its path. But is it not that all other
particles move in such a way that makes that water particle move in
a particular path? If one water particle makes other particle move,
other particles make that water particle move.
9.
Above observations are just small happenings that always occur
around you. There are infinite other activities going around you. Just
be patient and observe them. If your aim is to understand this world,
you must observe every thing that happens around you carefully and
closely. Reason being these happenings are small mirrors through
you will see image of this universe.
There is always lot to learn if you want to learn. But more important
is that there is always awful lot to correct. When we practice
something, we practice wrong moves with equal efforts as correct
moves. Hence it is important while learning to make as little mistakes
as possible.
When you observe things around you, it is you who tries to
understand that thing. Things do not tell you anything. It is on us
whether we want to accept what nature shows us and do progress or
to be satisfied with some concrete rules and rejecting natural
incidents based on these rules. Nature in itself will not change for us.
It continues to flow. A river continues to flow whether you
understand that it flows from mountains to planes or not. Similarly
sun shines, planets move, plant grow, air flows, animal run and stone
remains stationary. They do not wait for us to understand them.
Even those things that we cannot see and observe might be doing
their job according to their properties.
Every incident that you see around you can provide you with a
preview of the immense knowledge that is scattered around you.
You just need to observe. Just clean your thoughts and try to
understand. There is no need for you to get this knowledge. But
without complete knowledge, you will not be able to answer all your
questions. Most of the questions that make our thinkers ponder
have a larger scope. But we do not find a path to start our quest.
What if I tell you that humans have already found answers to
questions? Many people in our history have gained knowledge and
found answers to various human problems. But they could not
spread it further. Why? Reason is lack of understanding. A master
who spent years to understand this world comes to know that this
world is not how he perceived it to be. The real form of this world is
difficult to describe in words. When he preaches his teachings to
common men, they hear what he says but understand it according to
their own knowledge. Hence only superficially do they understand
what the teacher told. As time passes, this knowledge looses its
purity due to improper understanding and fades away. Everyone can
remember that there was a teacher who taught something to them.
But what they could not follow what he taught.
So do you always require a teacher to learn new things? Where does
teacher gets her knowledge from? Should that teacher always be a
human? Then tell me, who was the first person to discover art. How
did she discover it? If she can, why can’t you? If you understand what
I was trying to say till now, be ready. Because what follows is a
description which might help you understand true form of this world.
Again be patient and just don’t reject anything without any reasons.
After all we all learn from one another.
10. This World
Our world is vast. There is huge universe which contains countless
things. Our planet on which we live is just a small portion of this
universe. But we always see an incomplete picture of this universe.
Even today, the image of sky that you see is thousands of years old.
But whether you understand it or not, this world continues to do its
job. Every thing seems to follows a rule. Due to this we see a pattern
in this world. These patterns form the basis of our rules and
knowledge.
Water flows from top to bottom. Heat flows from high to low
temperature. Every material shows a particular property. Even the
forces that we know act on rules. It appears that all the forces in our
world act in opposite direction. You apply force on a box, you receive
opposite reaction, cold and hot items neutralize each other, high
potential balances low potential- these are some of the examples.
Not only this you must understand that as our world is like a wave,
almost every thing has its anti-matter present. Both of them if
combined together will turn each other to void (electron and
positron combine together to form pure energy. This energy is itself
an anti of another form of energy). Due to this all our rules that fit in
this world are based on balance.
What ever we know about this world is based on what we have
perceived. But perceptions can be deceptive and reality can be
something else.
Before knowing reality, ask yourself, can every thing be proved? We
say that law of nature are basis of our every proof. Every proof
requires some basis. Just because the bases on which we judge
correctness of logic have stood correct firmly for long time, does it
means that the basis are correct? A thousand observations about
flow of heat from high temperature to lower one does not
guarantees that at no other place in this world this law of ours is not
being violated. Hence if we have basis, we can make new laws based
on them. But what will you say about those countless things of this
world that we are unable to observe due to our limitations. They
provide us unobserved pattern but we are clueless about them. All
our rules are based on patterns we can observe, but they are not yet
sufficient enough.
Hence not everything can be easily proved. Reason being, proof
requires basis which in turn requires another basis and the chain
continues. At last we always require natural laws which have no
proof. They are created on the basis of high probability of there
occurrence. It will be lack on our part to consider them eternal and
try to understand this world using these rules which are all but a
small part of this world. It is due to rules and requirement of proof
that we are reluctant in opening our mind to new things. Also we do
not know fully about the things we can observe.
Do not think that all the laws are wrong. But like a novice trying to
understand a chess game, you must always be ready to change rules
assumed till now, even for changing all that you have made so far.
11.
This universe was formed. How it was formed is unknown. What we
can do is what we have always done; observe our world for clues
regarding formation of this universe.
Let us suppose that there are thousands of worlds that coexist
together. Then we will have new things to explore. If our assumption
is wrong, well, no damage done. Let us suppose that this is true. This
is what follows.
Worlds are like different energy levels of an atom. But unlike an
atom, these worlds are around us. Every world has its own rules.
There are various other types of energy. But to them is difficult if not
impossible. This is due to the fact that we, out rules, our scientific
instruments are based on natural rules based on this world we can
perceive. We are just like a wave to other worlds, can coexist but do
not affect each other.
Every world is like a water surface. A stable water surface can be
considered equivalent to void. Various waves are born and die
continuously on this surface. Like water, this universe is continuously
developing. There are worlds which are newly born and there are
worlds which have extinguished. Some parts of this universe are
being turned to void, and some parts are being formed from the
void. This is a continuous process. Even thinking that universe was a
void at some time is restricted thought because maybe universe
turned to void and again started from it. What if this is a continuous
cycle? What if some part of universe is being turned to void and
some part is formed from void? What if this universe was never void
at all?
Every world affects other worlds. Indeed it is also affected by them.
Not only this, every thing in this world affects every other thing.
There is connection between every thing. Consider this universe
formed from only one thing- water. Now different worlds are like
different water droplets and have different shape and size. But at
last what matters is that they are made of same thing. Similarly every
thing in this universe is formes from one thing- void. Hence every
thing that we see has similarity. It is our lack of perception that we
are unable to see it.
As water jar has no empty space inside it, similarly this world is not
empty anywhere. There is always something or the other thing at a
place (definition of place?). As water particle moves, other water
particles make that particle move. Do you believe that a matter has
its property due to it being that matter? For any force to act,
opposite force is required. Property if considered as a form of force
requires other force for property to act. The matter affects this
universe and this universe affects this matter. It is due to this rest of
the universe that the matter can show its property. It is due to
darkness that light shoes its property. And it is light due to which
darkness can show its property. They require each other. Similarly
every thing in this universe is connected. And it is due to this
connection that the universe exists.
Universe is like water that has no space inside it. Universe is like a
wave on a string that has amplitude but zero net amplitude. Universe
is void but universe is also infinite. Universe appears disconnect but
is connected. Universe appears to consist of various things universe
is made of nothing. Universe has infinite energy and also no energy.
There is universe and there is nothing like universe.
12. Void
Void means nothingness.
Than how should we describe void? To describe something, we
describe its properties that it has and that it doesn’t. For a fruit, we
describe its colour, taste, shape and size. But these attributes are
themselves made from some other attributes. Taste is compared to
some other fruit. In short we always describe in relative term. But for
void, there is nothing to which we can compare it to. Let us try
another approach. Let us rather describe void what it doesn’t have.
Void is made of nothing. It has no size. It has no energy. It has no
properties. It has no colour, sense or dimension.
Should void have enormous amount of energy, very low temperature
and tiny size? Think again. Like zero, void can create any amount of
energy, any dimension and any temperature by itself. So why should
it have these properties? These terms like tiny size, enormous energy
is for us not for void.
Void can create anything. Like a wave everything that it creates has
wave like property. The things will combine together to form void
again.
Void has created universe. This universe has various worlds beyond
our imagination. Every world has a particular dimension. Like our
world, other worlds have there own materials of which there world is
formed. They have there own rules. Each world is divided into
smaller parts which have been divided further. Every thing that we
see is made of some thing. But if we search properly, we see that all
the matters are formes from same basic particles. As we progress,
we will finally understand that this whole world is made of a single
thing.
For an example create numerous pairs of numbers that you can
generate from zero. Like 5 and -5, 2 and -2, 3+4i and -3-4i etc. Create
numerous pairs of rational or complex numbers. Now that you have
made them, put them in a set. Now randomly take out some group
of numbers. This subset that you just selected might not have its sum
zero. Similarly you can make various subgroups from this number
set. It is most unlikely that subgroups will have their net sum zero.
But if they are all combined together, they form zero. Zero created
everything. Every number set exists but zero doesn’t.
Similarly whatever we see are those non-zero groups of the particles
of this universe. Air, water, energy, life and everything that we see
are group of waves of universe.
Consider a circle. Place a point on its centre. Now how many
diameters can you draw? - Numerous. Now Place everything that you
can imagine on this circle in such a way that a pair of opposite
properties lie on the circle and opposite end of the diameter. Some
of the pairs can be light-dark, good-bad, high-low, hot-cold, sad-
happy etc. Not only this, place scientific terms like length (forward-
back), time (future-past) on this circle. Keep on doing so and soon
you would have filled the circle. The things that you cannot place on
the circle are unequal combinations of basic pairs.
Let us experience something. Place two points on this earth that are
far apart. Now how much time you take to travel from one point to
another? It takes few hours with a plane. What about two points in
this universe? It takes light years for us to travel there if we use
speed of light to travel this distance. Now if theory of Relativity is
correct, distance shortens when we move faster. Also if somehow we
can keep our speed unchanged but shrink this distance, it will also
shorten our time of travel.
But what if I tell you that you can travel any distance without taking
any time? I mean no time at all.
Void has great many mysteries. It is you who can explore it. Also you
have a choice to reject this or give space for this theory to develop.
13. Randomness and stability
Randomness and stability are way of nature.
When we add a drop of coloured water in a jar of clear water, whole
water becomes coloured after some time. When you add hot water
into the jar full of cold water, its temperature becomes warm.
Colour-particles move randomly inside the jar in such a way that they
scatter everywhere inside the jar. This is randomness. Hot and cold
water become warm when combined together. This is stability.
But what is stability? For us anything that remains unchanged for a
long time is relatively stable than other things.
But randomness tells us that anything will always try to scatter itself
evenly to all places possible. Hence randomness is just opposite of
stability.
Let us try to understand both these terms from a common definition.
This definition would be like-
‘Every thing tries to combine with its opposite. Together they
become void again.’
Consider a sandbox. Initially there are no highs and lows on sand-
surface. Now try to create some small mountain of sand. Can you
create this structure without digging some sand? No. You will have to
create some pits to form the mountain. Now total sand remains the
same. But what we see there is a structure made of sand.
But what if you were not there to form that structure? If sand was to
decide, what shape would it prefer to take? Definitely, every place
on the surface is equal with respect to sand. It does not prefer one
point for the other. But if any structure is formes, it is formed from
combination of various small mountains. But the shape it takes is a
secret.
Should the shape be a big mountain made from whole sand? Then
there will be a big space below initial sand surface whose shape is
not like the mountain. Why should sand prefer a mountain to this big
space?
Should there be two mountains in the sand -one mountain upward
and one downward? One of sand and other made of space. Now the
shapes are not biased and both of these mountains can combine to
form the old sand level. Still there is biasing.
Why should there be only two mountains? To solve this problem let
us make various pairs of mountains.
Now which mountain should occupy which place? If sand was to
decide, which place in the sandbox will it choose for these groups of
tiny mountains? Any place is similar for zero.
The solution can be to give all mountains all the places. That means
let the mountain take any place but in such a way that every place in
the sandbox is equally occupied by all the tiny structures.
Finally we get a picture in which there would be many mountains
and many ridges moving from one place to other randomly, because
sand is not biased to any structure or place inside it.
Now take a small area of this sand box. Will the combination of all
the mountains and all the ridges in this area be equal to the initial
sand surface? It is less likely to happen.
Why should sand be without any shape on it or with shapes on its
surface? Both of the states are equally biased. Hence sand should
take one of these states randomly, just to show its unbiased nature.
Above analysis is just an example. The important thing to remember
is that if no external body is present, sand will not change its shape.
But if it somehow it moves, it will change in a way as to take all of the
possible shapes. But it can have only one shape at a time; hence it
should continuously change shapes. This implies that none of the
shape is preferred by sand.
Similar thing happens with void.
Void does not require any reason to create things. But still if it
somehow creates things, it will create them such that there is no
preference among them.
This creation of equal and opposite things is the reason all the things
show a particular property. This is the reason heat flows. This is why
water is shapeless. Not only this every thing in the world try to
become stable due to the fact that they are all formed of
combinations of different opposite universal waves. At last all of
them will join to form void again.
Until this happens, universe moves in such a way that there is no
preference for anything in it. This is why if something is out of order,
if something has a shape which shows biasing; enormous power, too
much evil, too much good, very high mountain, very deep cracks,
very big mountains and very small particles- change.
Even if somehow everything is balanced, randomness will change it.
So balance is not constant.
Void requires randomness to remain neutral to all the states. But due
to randomness, universe remains always in motion.
14. Balance
It is consider that every thing try to achieve balance. Whether there
is any force or energy source, they all try to balance themselves. This
is what happens in the world we live in. A thing is said to be in a
balanced state if it retains that state for a long time. Water starts
flowing from the mountain and does not become stable until it
combines with the sea. Air flows to balance its pressure. Even water
surface is considered uneven until it becomes stationary and there
are no waves on top on it.
Our definition of stability is based on existence of a state for a long
time. But is our understanding of stability complete?
A mountain has a stable state because it does not change its state
easily. But an inverted pyramid is unstable. This is a good example of
when a thing is stable and when a thing becomes unstable.
Consider any thing in this world. Is there anything universal? Is there
anything that doesn’t changes? Yes. It is change itself. But why is it
so?
Randomness of universe requires everything to change. Hence
anything that resists this change requires some firm base to do so.
Consider the example of Truth (goodness) and evil. Our world neither
has extreme good nor extreme evil. Understand this by this example.
In the sand box, consider the sandbox as the whole world, small pile
of sand as Truth and grooves as evil. Now try to spread Truth all
around the sandbox. In short you are trying to increase level of sand
inside the sandbox. But initially there was nothing. Hence to spread
Truth (i.e. raise sand’s surface) you must remove sand from the some
place and place it somewhere else. Thus if you try to maximize the
spread of truth, you must remove sand from a particular area and
spread it everywhere else.
Finally you will be able to raise level of sand at some places. But
there are places from where you removed sand. What does that
means? It seems that for this world to be in balance, Truth and evil
will always be in equal quantity. The more you create Good, the
more evil is created and vice-versa. Now ask yourself, can evil defeat
good? Can good defeat evil? Is there really a fight between them or
is it just human perception of yet another universal fact?
Nature is neutral to everything. Hence whatever is your answer;
nature has only one rule- balance. Good and evil are always in equal
quantity. Hence they can not exist without one another. They need
one another for balance. This goes for everything else. As everything
started from nothingness, everything has its opposite in this world.
These opposite things balance each other and are necessary for this
world to exist.
Hence if there is no good, there is no evil; if there is no light, there is
no darkness.
If this is true, why it is so that sometime evil appears to be winner
and sometimes Truth prevails? Or is our perception incorrect?
Understand that this appears to you and it is you who must
understand the reality. As in the sandbox, a mountain cannot be
created without collecting sand from other places. Similarly when
you see Evil, in reality you are not seeing the truth that was created
along with it. It is just that they do not exist at the same place at the
same time. If they do so, they will extinguish each other. Nothing can
be created without creating its counterpart. This is how the world
was created. This is what brings balance in this world.
Now try to forget whatever you have learned about this world, about
yourself, about others, about your religion (if any), about science;
everything that you know. Let no rule bind you. Set yourself free.
Be cautious, as any knowledge that you know might be incomplete. If
randomness is the way of nature, then every law will remain only
partially stable or stable for a short period of time.
15. Creation of Universe
Let us go back to the time when our universe as we know it did not
existed. From there let us try to create this universe using the most
basic laws- Randomness and Stability. But it all depends upon our
correctness of our assumption- Everything started from the Void.
We may not be correct, but there is nothing wrong in doing do.
There is nothing at present. Not even space and time. So there is no
place to start as there are no places. There is no one to initiate
anything as forces are absent. Distance, time, space, energy, matter
and anything else that you can think of are not there. Only thing
present is Nothingness.
Then something happens. From this nothingness start emerging
something. This thing (let us call it universal material) continued to
generate and with an interesting property. This thing was made from
two opposite things that emerged from nothingness; hence they and
their counterpart were created simultaneously. Enormous amount of
universal material emerged out of this void. But what needs to be
noticed is that at present these various forms are indistinguishable.
There are only two things and they are counterparts of each other
and they combine together to form void again.
But if something is generated, it must expand somewhere. Initially
there was no volume to expand to. Our present world in which we
live in has space and things occupy volume. But that universal thing
had no space to expand to. So where did they expanded? Answer is-
to nowhere. Remember there was initially nothing. Dimensions were
also created by void.
Due to the fact that these things were generated, they will continue
to exist until they combine with their opposite self. Let us start taking
snapshot of this shape that void has created. This snapshot will show
present state of universe. Each snapshot may or may not be different
from other snapshot. These snapshots are what we call time. Hence
time is nothing but an image of change in the universe.
As time passes, the shape of newly formed universe starts changing.
This is due to the fact that this shape is unstable. Hence On one hand
void is releasing more things from itself, the newly formed things
want to combine together to form void again.
Initially there was no space present; there was no distance or
dimensions. But as the things were formed, they started to become
stable. Hence in there process of combination, the distribution of
universal material changed. This distribution created various groups
in which relatively stable materials started reside together. There
were various groups formed but with hazy boundary. These groups
led to the formation of dimensions. But due to randomness these
groups change continuously.
These dimensions are infinite in number as their count changes
continuously. Some dimensions are just counterpart of other
dimensions. As time passes, these dimensions start to settle down
and process to become stable progresses further.
You might consider what is between these dimensions. Dimensions
are not like water vapours with air between every two droplets.
Beyond our imaginations is its shape. If a smoke-blast fills a room
with smoke, you may say that the structure of smoke is that of the
room. But what if the room was also created from the blast?
As each dimension moves further towards stability, various new
things start to form. It is at this time that space, energy, time, matter
start to distinguish themselves. Each dimension which we call world
has its own characteristics. Our world is like what we have seen it.
Other world may or may not be like others. But on second thought
we are not present yet, aren’t we?
But until now we do not know what the universal material is made
from. Before that, can you answer my one simple problem? Imagine
that you come to another world where I live. My world has only two
colours- Black and White. My question is - What is the colour of sky
in your world? What will you answer? Blue? Well, I have never seen
blue colour in my black and white world. So if you could tell me what
blue colour look like, it would help me understanding your world
better.
The only way for you to solve my problem is to take me to your
world and show me the sky. But another problem appears. I see your
world in black and white as well. Now how will you tell me what
colour the sky is? We now realize that I do not have capacity to see
colours. Until you came and told me that there was a world which is
colourful, I would have continued to believe that there were only
two colours. But our problem is not solved yet.
Similar problem is faced by us humans. We try to understand this
world with our science but we do not realize that there are some
facts about this universe that may never experience. We can never
be too sure that whatever we see is the truth. What we see, feel,
hear or smell are just perceptions that are provided by our body. Can
we be too sure that they show us this world in its true form? No. our
science has already proved it wrong. But can we be sure that with all
our scientific knowledge, we would be able to understand this
world?
Hence this universe is made from a universal material. But it is lack of
our perception that we are unable to see it. So how can I describe
you about universal material if you have never seen it before and
cannot perceive it yet?
Let us go back to the place where worlds started to form. Should
every world have a structure like ours? There may be worlds that do
not have a definite shape, there may be worlds that consist of
indistinguishable shapes and there may be worlds which may have
distinct shapes like ours. It is difficult to even imagine. If these worlds
are not like ours, it would be as wise to conclude that they are not
like our world as unwise to believe that there are no other worlds.
The process of stability never stopped. So the worlds were further
stabilized. As the worlds themselves formed by process of stability,
each world also stabilizes by forming further structures. Consider a
world as steam. As steam cools, water vapours are formed. Similarly,
this world of ours which had no distinct initial shape started to
generate new things.
This process happened in every other world. In our world it created
galaxies, stars, solar systems, planets, energy and everything that we
know about and also those things that we are yet to discover. It is
this process of settlement that is driving our whole world. Further
progress was made. New materials were formes. From initial dust of
this galaxy emerged stars and solar systems. Our earth is also one of
such planet. On earth various changes took place. Various climatic
changes took place, shape of earth changed, oceans were formed,
atmosphere appeared. The exact process is difficult to tell and you
can never be too sure of whatever theory you come up with. But it
happened. Creation of life also took place under this process. This
process continued and thus we have our earth in the shape we see
her.
But what happened to other part of the universe? If stability took
place, it is sure to have created similar thing all around this universe.
So should we not assume that we are not alone?
Similar process happens in other worlds as well. But they are not like
our universe and hence development there may not be like ours.
Remember that our universe is one of the various worlds that coexist
together, just like waves on water surface.
Hence whatever you see around you is in reality made from universal
material but in such a way that it does not turns itself to void. Or
rather the process is very slow. A piece of metal is made from equal
or unequal quantity of complementary universal material distributed
in its whole volume. But to us it appears even. What appears
property of a metal may be due to the particular distribution of
universal material trying to balance itself. Similarly molecules, atoms,
protons, neutrons, electrons and further sub particles might also be
formed from same thing. May be some day we find out that
everything that we know is made of one basic thing.
When scientists coined the theory of Big Bang, they considered an
assumption that our world started from tiny, little source. This
source released enormous amount of energy and various other
things. In the process of time these things settled down and created
this present universe. Do you now see why their theory is correct
(even if not completely). This explained the concept of universal
expansion. We also say that we can calculate the radius of this
universe. Some of us have even proposed an image of this universe.
But did universe actually started from a tiny source? If void created
everything then initially there was nothing present. So there was no
concept of distance and matter. So the words ‘tiny’ and ‘source’ (no
matter how small) are somewhat incorrect.
Also why not consider another theory that void did created big but
there was no bang? What if whole universe was initially
indistinguishable when formed but not from a source. After all void is
everywhere. In the process of stability everything else was formed.
Yes, it does leave many questions unanswered. But can it not be that
whatever answers we have discovered may be incorrect if our
assumption of Big-Bang is wrong.
16. Worlds
We know about our world to some extent. We know that there is a
universe that has numerous things suspended in it. Our universe is
constantly in motion. And our Earth is just one of these things. To
some extent we believe that there must be life somewhere else in
this Universe. But it is our present technology that is holding us back
from searching our Universe further.
But what if there is not one world but various other worlds. Why
reject this assumption unless we have completed our search? Why
not let this option be open for thoughts?
So let us assume this for some time that even other worlds do exist
and let us explore new possibilities. If the assumption that void
started everything is correct, it can create new dimensions as well.
Our world may be one of these dimensions. But if we have a small
example before us that two waves (sound, light, water-surface etc.)
can coexist together; no matter how many they are, why not give it a
thought that each world behaves similar to these waves? If they do,
then there is no problem in two or more worlds existing together.
If they do exist, why is it they are not visible? Well, are you sure that
you can see everything? No. you can not even see glass unless it is
impure or there is reflection or refraction from its surface. So there
are various things that we cannot see. So what we can not see it,
why can’t we feel it. Well, are you sure you can sense everything?
No. Our body has limitations and so does our scientific instruments.
They too have a limit to their perception.
So is it not safe to assume that there is more than meets the eye.
Rather than limiting our thoughts, let us keep this passage open for
new ideas to come.
If we can do so, let us guess about what other worlds would look like.
What do you think? Should there be trees? Should there be land?
Should there be sky, see and creatures like us? Well, let us consider
our rest of universe. Most of it appears empty. But that empty space
exists. Similarly other worlds can exist without having trees, land, or
sky. If there are living things, what should they look like? Should they
have hands and legs, or should they have more than two of them?
Should they have eyes, nose and skin like us? Well, what you are
searching for is your definition of life. Should other world have
creatures like us or the world like ours? This is not certain.
It appears that if other worlds should exist, they will definitely not
follow rules of our world. They will follow their rules. When you want
to search for other worlds, what do you do? You do not know what
to search for exactly. Reason being, if you knew that, then you must
have experienced or seen that earlier. And we would have searched
them earlier, considering the enormous time we have spent in
search of knowledge.
Let us take an example. If you take a ride in a train, you will observe
that when a train from opposite direction approaches and crosses
your train, you cannot clearly see passengers sitting inside it. But if
same train runs along with your train in same direction at
approximately same speed as yours, you may even be able to talk to
people in other train. If other train moves much faster than yours (at
the speed of jet), than you will not be able to communicate with
them, no matter from what direction other train comes from.
So what is helping or hindering you in communication. It is the speed
or rather the relative speeds of trains and the direction they move. If
they move in opposite direction, it is a problem. Even if they move in
same direction, high speed difference creates problem. People at
other train will face similar problem.
This goes for these worlds as well. They are just beside you. But the
difference in energy between our world and other worlds is
hindering our search for them. Clearly our definition of energy needs
modification.
In our world we have seen some limitations. That nothing can travel
at a speed greater than time or that nothing can be cooled below
absolute zero. But when we say ‘nothing’, we assume that we know
about everything about our world, which we definitely don’t know.
That means these present natural rules assumed by us can be
broken, can’t they?
Our zero speed may appear speed of light in one of the worlds.
Similarly our speed of light may be zero speed in another world. Our
beginning might be end in some other world. All our rules have
extremes. There is zero and there is infinity. There is beginning and
ends. But these rules are true only in our world. Hence if we try to
search other worlds using rules of our worlds, using our incomplete
knowledge, using our scientific instruments which follow rules of this
world, are we not limiting ourselves? What we really need is some
rules that remain unaltered from one world to other.
17. Life
Everything that exists in this world has some purpose. It is failure on
our part if we are unable to see this purpose. This goes for every
living and nonliving things as well. If everything has a purpose, it
means everything is equally important. If something doesn’t have a
purpose, it extinguishes. Is it not our fault that we consider
something important than other?
Life that we have has a purpose as well. If we can see that, we may
be able to understand our reason for existence better.
So what exactly is life? Some of us say that it is another form of
energy in this universe. Other said that only God can create life.
Whatever may be the case, the fact is that life exists. We say that an
animal has life. Birds have life. Even plants have life.
When we say that a thing is living, it means that it has life. We
associate living things with some properties. The definition can be
concisely stated as- Living things can sense and respond in some
manner. Of course it is not exact one. But can we state an exact
definition? If you can find your way home, so can a river. If you can
speak, so can a waterfall. If you can walk, so can a river. You may say
that there are various things that non-living things cannot do. Most
important thing is that they cannot think.
What human consider life is a strict definition that categorizes
natural things. Does nature creates such boundaries? No. So is it not
that we have created this definition of ‘Life’ according to our
convenience. Indeed the things which we call living die. Some kind of
energy is released and leaves the body dead. But that does not mean
that other natural things are nonliving- if we follow our definition of
living things. But humans can create almost everything else but not
life, not yet. This is the reason life enjoys an important place in the
way we see this world.
But for nature, life is not an important thing. It is equal to rest of the
things in the nature. Our world has living things that walk, eat,
breath, see, reproduce, think etc. At least that is what we call them.
But what do you think about rest of the universe? Do all things need
to walk and eat? Do all things need eyes to see? Do all things need
intelligence to understand their surroundings? No, probably not.
It is human way of thinking that intelligence is good and there are
others who are less intelligent than us. We forget that nature which
controls climate, sea movement, planets does not have our so called
intelligence. But she works perfectly fine. And even with our
intelligence, which we boast of, we have not been able to
understand her fully yet. So does that not mean that there can be
‘non-intelligent’ things that are more intelligent than us? Is it not
that our categorization of things on our intelligence scale is
restricting our thinking. Do you think that a jelly fish which has no
brain is less intelligent than you? Are you intelligent than a butterfly?
Think again. Maybe you are just bound in your definition of
intelligence and enjoying your self-proclaimed supremacy. Maybe,
our understanding of life needs modification.
If intelligence is illusive, so is life. If you consider that life is supreme
creation of this universe, think again. Perhaps we say so because we
have not been able to create life on our own. But does that means
that it is not possible to do so? If you think so, you are following a
rule that has been formulated by and for us humans.
Life is just another form of this universe that we human consider
amazing. Remember that nature may appear complex and
astonishing to you. But for nature itself, there is nothing complex
because there is no complexity. It is we who fail to understand the
world in simple way, is it not? Nature is always simple. And so is life.
18.
Humans have a very trivial property. We make rules from whatever
we understand and use them for our future understanding of this
world. One can ask- “is it not how everyone else does?” Well, when
he says so, is it not because he is human? Whenever we think that
we have acquired best knowledge, we say that from a human point
of view. We do not consider the fact that to understand this universe
you do not need to understand its every detail (which is difficult to
understand in a small life time) but some basic information.
How do we explore this world? We take help from our knowledge.
Using this knowledge and our own logic, we created science. Then as
science made progress, we created various branches of science.
Further we obtained sub-branches and so on. At last what we have is
a science that provides us various prospects to see this world. There
is medical world which shows how to treat a human body. There is
physics that deals with physical aspects. Chemistry deals with
chemical aspects. And there are Zoology, Biology, Astrology and
countless other ‘logies’. So finally what we get are various
prospective to see this world. But can a particular field be a perfect
tool to explore this universe?
Every ‘branch’ of knowledge that we have created appear to mix
with each other. Hence every one of them shows you only a
particular aspect of this world. To completely understand this world,
you will have to combine all of them. Does the shape of a rock
changes, whether you look from one direction or from the other?
No, the rock remains the same. It is you who must understand that
to get a complete picture of the rock, you need to observe it from
every prospective. Similar thing goes with our tool called Science. It
is useful but will be more useful if used in a joint manner.
But what do we do? Are we not trying to refine every branch of
science further? This is good. But in this process, we have searched
every path, every surface, named everything that we found,
discovered sub particles from particles and named them as well. At
last we got a huge bunch of knowledgebase. But we lost the string
that connects them together.
Look around you. Any invention that you see, that you commonly use
are still simple. The phone is still the same, the knife, the swords,
planes, radars and computers are not very different from what they
were when they were developed first. A plane still uses the same
principle and a knife has changes the metal. The new things that we
have added to them are refinements only. Refinements are not easy
to do. But only refining things tend to saturate them. This is the
reason why our science reaches saturation after some time. We take
a field and continuously do research in that field. After some time we
do some discoveries. But then a time appears when our progress
becomes sluggish.
What is the problem? Maybe it is the categorization of science into
different fields. They use a particular property of this universe to
explore it. But until you combine all of them, you will always be left
with many unanswered questions. Partition makes our way easy to
follow, but limits our length of journey. Break this partition. There is
only one science.
Worse, until now we assume that science is correct. After all, science
can give reasons for various natural incidents. But we can never be to
sure that we can observe this whole world completely. Hence many
rules that science provides may need to be modified. The pile of
knowledge that various branches of science provide us may contain
countless such rules that need to be corrected or modified. Is it not
an indication that science which is a path to our progress may also
act as a chain that may prevent us to go further?
But science is a good tool is it not? Only be sure to not overuse it as it
is not completely correct. Well…., not yet.
19. A universal connection
If I were to ask you about the things you can do, you can tell me long
list of such things. So let us leave that bundle of lists aside. You can
move water, air, create fire, grow flowers, cook food, speak, breath,
walk, talk, fight and sleep tight. These are the things others can do as
well. Look around you. Air can carry water. Water can extinguish fire.
Fire can burn things. Forests add flavour and scent to the air. Sun and
Earth control the temperature. All of these things create the climate.
And the climate affects you.
Can you see this connection? This is the simplest connection you can
observe that exists between you and your surrounding. You and your
surrounding affect each other and work in such a way as to balance
the environment.
But is this connection over here? Even if it is, if it is that insignificant
that it hardly affects me, why bother about it?
You can move a stone without changing position of your legs only if
you are on the ground. You cannot walk if your feets are not on the
ground. Similarly you try to breath, but the air enters inside you not
because you forced it in, but because outside air had more pressure.
When you see, it is possible only because the object you are
observing is illuminated. When you break a stick, the stick applies the
same force backwards. Do you see a bidirectional connection existing
between every action that you do? We say that this connection is
bidirectional, but we say so because we distinguish between those
two things. Every force acts in both directions; at least that is what
we have observed till now.
Let us go back to the closed jar full of water in which water
molecules are doing random motion. In it we observe that when one
water particle moves, it displaces molecules ahead of it and occupies
a new position. The older place is filled by another water molecule.
How can we describe this statement? A molecule can not displace
every other molecule as it does not have such force. So someone
must be helping it. Consider following cases.
 If it is moving forward, force must come from behind. That
means water molecules behind it are forcing it forward and in
turn are affecting molecules ahead of it to create a path.
 It can also be that molecules ahead moved in such a way that
forced the water molecule and those behind it to move forward
as no position can be vacant.
Which statement occurred first? If first occurs, molecule moves. Is
second occurs, molecule moves and in the same direction. But the
fact that the molecule moves while doing random motion forces us
to choose from one of the above statement. Even is you choose one
of them, how will you justify the force that makes them move.
Where did it come from? The force is the energy that is distributed
inside the jar. It is making the water molecules to move. But there
motion is such that the net energy does not make the box move or
the box remains stationary.
Similar thing goes with this universe of ours. Everything that we see
around us including ourselves is like these water molecules. But we
think that it is we who are doing a thing. We think that we take our
own decision. Think again. Do you really do so? Every decision that
you take is affected by the surrounding you are in and upon your
body. If it is not so, then either you have removed a great hurdle in
discovering yourself or created another one by lying to yourself.
There is a universal connection that exists between everything. Or
rather this universe is one; we perceive it like different things.
Understand that this world is like the jar of water. Everything that
exists in it has a purpose because there is no empty space. Hence
whether you can see it or not, there is a connection between you
and everything else. The connection exists between you and me, ant
and the sun, air and fire and even between two different worlds.
Everything affects everything else. May be, it is now correct to say
that ‘What we sow, so shell we reap’. Not immediately, but
definitely. But this is not over yet. Above examples of connections
are just basic understandings. It has deeper meaning.
20. Religion and Science
It is believe that there is something that is driving this world. This
provides us with a reason to explain various happening around us.
There must be something that created this universe and everything
in it. After all nothing happens on its own. Some call this force God.
And there are many of us who question the very existence of God
and believe in science and reasoning to guide them.
If I were new to this world, what should I choose? Should I choose
Science which has still not been able to solve various puzzles?
Science requires basis and these basis are formed from natural laws
which science has not explained yet. So science provides me some
help in understanding this world. But still it is based on the
foundation of natural laws. Who said that law of nature (that we call
them) cannot change? If they can, science looses its firmness. But
still, science looks good.
Let me understand God. Some say that he created everything. Others
say that nothing moves without his wish. He is present everywhere.
But there are various questions that have no explanations. What is
his form? If he is everywhere, why don’t we see him? How do we
understand him? There is concept of good deeds and bad deeds.
There is concept of heaven and hell. There are various religions to
follow. Every religion has similarities and dissimilarities. But they try
to describe him. Should I choose God?
Even if I start believing in God, various questions remain
unanswered. Similar things happen with science too. So what is the
right choice?
Tell me, does the world change if whole mankind starts believing in
God? And does science does so? No. The world around you does not
change. Everything around you keeps working as it should. River still
flows and flower still bloom. It means that even if I do not choose
between any on them, I will not change this world and even I will be
in one piece. But if I want to progress, if I desire to find answer to
who I am, what is my purpose, what is world, what is nature and
what are natural cycles, then I need reasons to satisfy myself. So it is
my choice whether I believe in something or not. All other animals,
birds and every other species do not know concept of science or
God. But still they live with us. So why is it that we need concept of
science or God?
May be, it is due to the fact that we need reasons, reason for
everything. We want to learn more, more than everyone else. This is
the primary reason why we are so active. This is not bad thing. But
the fact that the entire world continued to exist without knowing
God or Science shows us that God or science are not the only things.
Does this make us any different from other species? Does our being
so called intelligent give us a reason to categorize every species on
our ‘intelligent’ scale? Is it not that all the species are equal under in
the shadow of nature? It is just that in the process of creation we
were made and so were other things. It is our choice whether we
want to see similarities among everything around us or to categorize
them on the basis of dissimilar properties. Considering the fact that
there are various other worlds, yet unseen and yet unexplored, there
are various other things that we have not yet seen. There can be a
world in which the smallest species might be more intelligent than
any species in our world. There can be a world where species poses
unseen powers. Is it not that we call ourself supreme creation
because we are not considering entire universe? May be some day
we will understand this when we will get what we always ask for-
Proof.
Let us understand God. We believe that the supreme force that is the
cause of everything that happens around us is due to God. If this is
true, where is He? What does he looks like? Give me some indication
such that I can understand him. Does he have a human form? If yes,
why not any other shape? Just because we call ourself supreme
creation makes us similar to shape of God. It would be a biased
thought which appeases us humans. But we have already made
various rules that are according to our convenience, have we not?
We try to understand this whole world in the same way we see our
world. But is it correct to do so? Should the whole world have the
same hierarchical structure as we humans create in our world?
What language does God speaks in? There are numerous languages
we humans have. Worse, there are species that do not speak. It looks
that God doesn’t requires a language to communicate his message.
Do you now see why we don’t see God? When we search for him, we
search for the image that we have in our mind. We search for a
person who is filled with light, has a halo and has supernatural
powers. Why do you believe that this is what god looks like? Why
shouldn’t he look like a fish or an apple? Why should he have any
shape at all? There are various species in this world that poses
powers we call supernatural. Does that make you to accept them as
God? Why do you believe in these stories?
Every religion that we have wanted to teach us one thing- they
taught us to believe in the supreme. Various great people came to
teach us humans this very fact. But that was not sufficient. Every
time that happened, we created a new religion. We continued to
fight among us on whose religion is best. There is even clash
between science and religion. Still we could not find God.
Why did that happened? May be it is due to the fact that we humans
want to divide everything. We were given complete planet to live on.
But we created boundaries of countries. In a country, we created
stated. Then we created districts, roads, colonies, flats, floor, room
and beds. There was one nature, but we decided to study it by
dividing it into various branch of science. World was made from void,
but we named every matter. There is one God and we created
various religion. May be this is how we humans work. Two persons of
different religions quarrel over religious matters. Two people of
same religion fight on some other matter. If there is no matter to
fight, we discover one and fight. This is failure on our part. In this
process, we created various paths. We follow a path according to our
choice. Some use religion, other take science. Some of us walk on the
path of a fighter and some of us take path of music. List every
profession that you can see and you will name a path.
On the other hand other species continued to live in the way nature
wanted them to live. They do not fight as we do. They do not create
boundaries as we do (well not all species). Whether you believe it or
not, they are more satisfied with there life than we are. They are not
like us. There life looks hard to us, but they are the one who see this
world in completeness. May be our way of using our knowledge is
preventing us to observe this universe and its interconnections.
So let us see this world in completeness. How shell we do that? Well,
let us bring everything together. Let us stop seeing differences.
If a species like you is living, how can this whole universe not be
alive? Leave this definition of life and death. After all, not all things
should be living or dead. Life and Death create boundaries which
universe does not see. It is we who see this difference. So our
universe is as alive as our God.
Religion and science talk of same thing. It is the individual definition
that is hindering their tryst with each other.
21. Good and Bad
In this life we choose a profession to practice. A person who takes
music creates beautiful tones to sooth ears and heart of listeners.
Another person may take painting and tries to fill this whole world
with colours of his imaginations. A doctor heals patients. A
technician creates techniques to solve large problems in an easy
way. A preacher shows others way to know themselves. A worrier
fights to protect others.
But when we were born, we had no profession. It was our decision
what we wanted to be. After all we always have a choice, though
decisions can be difficult to take. We are free to do whatever we
want to do, are we not? So whether your deeds are good or bad is
your choice is it not?
Can a person be categorized as good or bad? When we do so we
create two categories- The good and the bad. If you do so, tell me is
there any person in this world who never does bad things? Answer is
hardly few or none. Similarly is there any person who always does
wrong things? If you say yes, you are wrong. Every one of us always
does something good and something bad. There can always be
better or worse human. So even you are both Good and Bad; good
for someone and bad for someone else.
If you are not sure what good or bad deeds are, let us take an
example from the nature. Consider a tiger catching a deer. It is deer’s
right to live. So it runs for its life. On the other hand tiger needs food
to survive. So it is his right to gather food. A tiger is made to eat
flesh. It cannot eat anything else. Now answer this question. Who is
doing wrong and who is doing right?
Take another example. When you walk, did you ever thought how
many ants you kill with your foot? No. You can say that how can we
always watch our step. Didn’t you just tried to justify yourself? Are
you right or wrong? Similarly, there are numerous things around you
that are doing there job. A caterpillar eats leaves, so does damage to
plants. But when it becomes butterfly, it helps in turning flower into
fruits. Birds kill insects to feed themselves. When a volcano erupts,
you fear it. Why, because many people and animals are killed. But it
spreads minerals all over the land which can generate more crops
and food than before. Everything that nature does, whether it hurts
someone or not, it does so to balance itself.
Deciding what is right and wrong is difficult. There is no one who can
define rules for them. A job can be both, good or bad. It is you who
must decide this.
For this world, there is no good or bad. Rain brings joy to many living
things but kills various insects. Sun provides heat but it also makes a
person lost in desert thirsty. Galaxies collide and new things are
born. Worlds are destroyed and new worlds are born. Art becomes
extinct but its new form is discovered. Nature recognizes only one
thing- change. Good and bad are two prospective to see a thing. You
will see nature’s balance once you start seeing things as they are.
So how to decide what is good and what is bad? Does doing
everything according to a religion make you walk on good path? Or
doing bad things makes you bad. Remember that there are two types
of job- one that you do with reward in mind and the other that you
do as your responsibility. If your intensions are wrong, you are doing
wrong thing, no matter how you justify it. If your intension is good,
you are doing write.
22. Death
Death is something no one can explain properly. The reason being,
no one is experienced enough to tell what happened to him after he
died. Even if some one tells you that such and such thing happens
after death, would you believe him?
This is the main reason people are afraid of death. You are afraid of
what you don’t know. But you are always afraid of things you are
unaware of, is it not? A dark passage, a horrible creature or fear of
the way Death comes makes people afraid. Allow me to describe few
things about it.
In reality, you are not afraid of death, but of loosing yourself, of what
will happen next. You do not consider the face what you are. The
things that you are afraid to loose- name, body, memories,
relationships, life and existence- they were never with you, were
they? If you were a child, what would have you gained till now? -
Nothing. So why are you afraid of loosing those things that were
never yours? You assume that you will loose your existence. But if
you know that you are not this body but the energy that flows within
it, death just frees you from this body and nothing else. So why not
accept it as one of natural process?
Memories belong to this body. And you think that these memories
define you. You and your body are two different things. When you
know this fact, why are you afraid of death?
May be because you don’t know what happens next. You know that
there exists connection between you and everything around you.
Hence you are connected to this whole universe. And this whole
universe is connected to you. Then is your body really beginning and
end of you? Should it not be that you are this universe and the
universe is you?
In your lifetime, whatever work you do, how you interact with this
universe determines what changes you make in this connection.
Change in connections cause your life force to move between worlds
after death. Life force stops in a world that is relatively stable. This is
how, life force moves between worlds and life is born in that world.
Life from other worlds comes in our world and life from our world
goes in other worlds. This cycle of life and death continues.
Depending on which world you are in and your connection, you will
get a body. One who attains enlightenment sees this connection.
He/she becomes one with this universe.
Is there any heaven or hell? Well, we think that heave is some place
where we have all the pleasure and hell is some place where we face
torture. Tell me, do you not find happiness in this world? And do you
not find sorrow in this same world? This world can be both heaven
for some and hell for others. Similarly, anyone in any world can find
happiness in his/her world. Why should there be a hell or heaven? Is
this not a concept we humans have made for our own satisfaction?
So death is just another law of this universe. Change creates new
things. But change also destroys existing things. Death destroys your
existence, but it creates your new existence. Change brings death
and change brings life. They are both same. So if you love life, love
death as well. Then you will not fear death.
Truth
At some point of time we all want to search for truth. We want to
know ourself. We want to find happiness. In this process we travel
from one place to other, try different things. Some go deep into the
mountains. Some become religious person. Some travel from one
place to other learning new things. Some go to teachers.
Understand that no matter what you do, you will remain in this
universe. It is you who must choose how you want to live your life.
You were made to do something. It doesn’t matter who did this.
What matters that if water starts doing the job made for air to do,
water will face problem. Everything has a purpose. Discover your
purpose.
Why to find your purpose? Well, it is not necessary. You are free to
take any decision. But it is you who will face the consequences, will
you not. It is your choice. Take whatever path you want to take.
Where to find your purpose of life? Before that you must know how
to find it. Forget everything and rediscover them back. Forget every
rule and recreate them. Forget yourself and find yourself again.
Always check yourself. Analyse whatever you do. See that there is
nothing that you do without a good reason. And no matter what you
do, if you are determined, you will be successful.
Remember, this world does not create any border. Every thing is part
of nature. There is a connection between you and everything else.
Everyone has a job to do. It is we who consider job good or bad.
Nature made both good and bad things. This is what balances this
universe. A person does bad job because either he is made that way,
or he does that intentionally. This is equally true for good person. If a
job is done intentionally, you will receive its consequences. You
cannot escape that. Only when you learn your purpose and start
doing that job without demanding anything in return will be the time
when you will become one with thins world. It is then when you
acquire true happiness. It is the time when you are free from good
and bad deeds.
Search your purpose. This is what every great person that you
consider God or equivalent to God. When you find your purpose, you
will know that there is no job good or bad. Let no knowledge, religion
and believe deviate you from your goal. Achieve highest level in
whatever field you take, no matter what job you do; you will be one
with nature. Only then will you understand God and Void. Only then
will you know true knowledge. Only then will the journey to know
yourself can begin.
Truth is always the same. But, yet it appears different to every one
of us. It may be due to the fact that we all see it from different
prospective.
This world as we know it was created from unknown. Everything
was created from that unknown. The unknown may be called God
in religious term and Void in scientific term. The whole world is
moving in order to balance this universe. There is only one thing-
universe. There is no other thing. Every two things that appear
distinct have a connection between them. Every thing is made from
same universal material. Things that we know are just different
way this universal material is oriented. Metal, air, water, life and
space are all created from this void. Universal material provides
particle and anti-particle.
Art, painting, music, dance, calligraphy, swordsmanship, teaching,
thinking are not different things. They are the foundation of same
pyramid. They appear different paths, but once we move forward, it
becomes clear that they join at the tip of pyramid which is void
itself. Only if you attain highest level of connection with whatever
work you do, whether it is good or bad, you will become on with the
universe. This is the truth. If you do your work any other aim, you
are following another path which will keep you away from
combining with this universe.
Why should you combine at all with this universe? Well, you are
already connected with it. All you need to know is to understand
this connection. You cannot escape. Every thing that you do, you do
with the power of this universe. Every thing that you do goes back
to the universe. You are part of this universe. No matter how strong
you may grow, you cannot escape this universe.
If you are part of universe, there is no one else. Everything, every
living being is connected to you. You are connected to everything
else. The universe wants you to break this boundary of individuality
and grow. This is true knowledge.
