In the gospel today, Jesus cures a man born blind, using mud and dirt as a sign of His healing. Even the
most ordinary things in our family can be sources of healing and signs of God’s presence if we open our
eyes and use them for the sake of others.

“Fill the Ark” Heifer International”
Latare Jerusalem. Rejoice Jerusalem. Today is Latare Sunday and we rejoice that we have reached the
halfway point of Lent. We rejoice looking forward to Easter joy and the celebration of the resurrection
of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a good time to assess our Lenten Journey. How are we doing with the 3
pillars: prayer, fasting and almsgiving? Do we need to rededicate ourselves to the commitments we
made at the beginning of our Lenten Journey? It is not too late. Let us leave behind the darkness, walk
in the light of Christ and become a New Creation so we can celebrate Easter. Latare Jerusalem. Rejoice
Jerusalem!
Only one more week is left on the Fill the Ark Calendar. Join in our parish wide effort of
almsgiving. Use your calendars, fill the banks, donate through the envelopes found at
the ends of the pews. Be the raindrop that, with the help of others, becomes a roaring
flood to Fill the Ark and make a difference in the lives of people around the world. Banks
will be collected at all Masses on April 9 & 10. Donations will be accepted through
Easter. The goal for Saint Augustine Parish is to raise $5,000 for “Fill the Ark.” We currently stand at
$1,102. When we reach our goal; Fr. David has agreed to ride a donkey from the Parish Steps into the
parking lot.
