Checklist for filling up Visa application form

(Incomplete applications will be returned)
 Passport should have at least 2 blank pages
 Visas are issued on passports and NOT on Travel Documents. The passport should be valid
for a minimum period of 190 days.
 Application form duly filled in and signed along with passport in original
 2 recent colour passport size (35mmx35mm) photographs with white/light background to
be pasted/stapled
 Required Visa fees in the form of Money Order/Bank Draft
 Self-addressed stamped envelope for returning the passport with visa - one for each application
 Drop Box Facility is NOT available.

 Consulate will not be responsible for DELAYS in processing/issuing/dispatch of visa on any
account
Emergency procedures
 Emergency Visa facility is available to Canadians of Indian origin and Canada born persons
of Indian origin only
 Emergency Visa is granted ONLY for genuine medical and humanitarian emergencies which
may be subject to verification at the discretion of the Consulate. Emergency visa is normally
valid for 1 month and is for single entry only. Applicants may be requested to appear for an
interview

 Original confirmed air ticket and a copy of the same
 Bank draft/Money order for a total of C$ 178.00(Emergency Visa) payable to
Consulate General of India Toronto
On working days:
 Applications are received in person at Consulate between 9 - 11:30 am and passports are
returned between 3 - 4 pm upon production of original receipt of payment.
 Emergency visa could only be applied within 72 hours of confirmed air travel. Tourist visa
CANNOT be applied under emergency procedure
