The Feast of The Day of Atonement foreshadows THE TIME

OF JACOB’S TROUBLE, which will end with the physical
and visible return of Jesus to earth.
In chapter 11, we read about The Day Christ Returns [2nd
Coming], where he will defeat his enemies and go on to judge
the mortal survivors of THE GREAT TRIBULATION.
Three-and one-half years prior to the 2nd Coming of Jesus,
The Antichrist will have set his image in the Holy Place (Holy
of Holies) demanding worship for himself, as The Most High
God.
The Holy of Holies can only be located on Mount Moriah
in Jerusalem, and currently, what is known as the Temple
Mount, is already occupied by a Muslim mosque. As this is
being written, access to the Temple Mount is still future and
may be one of the promises contained in the seven-year treaty
The Man of Sin will make with Israel…which treaty he will
break midway through the seven years, and from that point
on, his persecution of Jews and Christians will eclipse any in
recorded history.
His final reign of terror will last *forty-two months (1260
days) and will end with the physical and visible return of Jesus Christ at the battle of Armageddon.

*The time periods described in the books of Daniel and The Revelation are reckoned by the Jewish
calendar which consists of 30-day lunar months.

The Man of Sin will be overthrown at the return of Jesus, 1260 days (42 months) after he breaks
his treaty with Israel and demands worship for himself –Daniel 12:11-12, Revelation 13:5,
Revelation 19:11-20.
Daniel also mentions 1290 days, which is the forty-two months plus an additional thirty days –
Daniel 12:11.
What will be happening during that additional thirty-days?
The time-period is further extended by another forty-five days—bringing a total extension of
seventy-five days, during which time Daniel says that “Blessed are they who wait and come to the
1335th day” –Daniel 12:11-12.
What will be happening for seventy-five days after Christ returns and defeats his enemies at
Armageddon –Daniel 12:11-12?

The Gathering
Christ’s Kingdom has phases. The first phase began when Jesus came to earth and defeated sin
through his atoning life, death, and resurrection. As this is being written, we are living in the first
phase, the time of “Christ in You,” when the Kingdom of God is not yet an earthly government
but is manifested through his Holy Spirit who lives within God’s people—those whose bodies are
his temple – Luke 17:20.
The second phase of Jesus’ Everlasting Kingdom will be initiated when he returns to earth,
defeats his enemies at the Battle of Armageddon and sets up his earthly government where, as the
undisputed King of Kings and Lord of Lords, he will sit upon the Throne of his Glory.
There will be earthly gatherings where all of God’s Chosen People who survived THE GREAT
TRIBULATION will be gathered out of every nation where they have been scattered and brought
to their Promised Land and also where the wicked survivors of THE GREAT TRIBULATION
will be gathered, judged, and condemned –Ezekiel 28:25, Matthew 24:30-31, Matthew 25:13-23,
31-46.
There will be a resurrection of Tribulation Martyrs who were beheaded for refusing to worship
the Man of Sin or his Image or take his Mark. And there will be judgments where these will be
rewarded –Matthew 16:26-27, Revelation 20:4-6.

Coronation Day
At the 2nd Coming of Jesus, he will use both Heavenly and earthly armies to defeat his enemies
(chapter 11). A world-wide judgment will then be conducted to determine who is granted entrance
into his earthly Kingdom. This judgment takes place after his victory at the Battle of Armageddon.
Jesus’ Kingdom will be worldwide. He is the undisputed King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And,
as he is THE Son of David (a name for Messiah, a physical descendant of King David) he will also
be coronated as King of Israel and will sit on the Throne of David —Deuteronomy 18:15, 2 Samuel
7:8-16, Acts 2:29-30.
The Bible terms “Throne of David and Son of David” refer to Messiah. All Israel recognized
him as such before his crucifixion, when he made his entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey.
They attempted to coronate him then, but the time had not yet come. Jesus did not allow the first
coronation-attempt to succeed, but one day he will be coronated, not only King of Israel but of the
entire earth. When that happens, there will be no more United Nations. Instead, Jesus will rule
from Jerusalem, and Israel will become the Head Nation –Psalm 2:6-12, Isaiah 2:1-4, Isaiah 60:12,
Daniel 2:35.
When this phase of Christ’s Kingdom begins, the Bible says all nations—speaking of the mortal
survivors of THE GREAT TRIBULATION—will be gathered before him to be judged as to
whether or not they are worthy to enter his earthly kingdom.
This is the Judgment of the Nations, which will take some time –Matthew 25:31-32[31-46].
Jesus will be assisted during this judgment in various ways. The twelve Apostles of the Lamb
will judge the twelve tribes of Israel (God knows who belongs to which tribe). The Children of the
Resurrection will assist in judging (then ruling over) the mortal survivors of THE GREAT
TRIBULATION [those whose bodies will not be gloriously changed like the resurrected and
caught-up ones]. These are possibly the ones Jesus spoke of who will enter into Life maimed –
Matthew 18:8-9.
Many of what are known as “the hard sayings of Jesus” make perfect sense when applied to the
time of THE GREAT TRIBULATION, when simply calling on the name of the Lord to be saved
will no longer be possible.
On the Day of Pentecost [as prophesied by Joel], when the Holy Spirit took up abode within the
bodies of all believers, a time began when it became possible to simply call on the name of the
Lord to be saved. This was not possible under the Law of Moses. As this is being written, we live
in the phase of God’s plan that focuses on His Ekklesia [His called-out Body more commonly
known as “The Church”]. This phase will culminate at the Resurrection/Rapture of those who are
“in Christ.”
Those who are left behind must “endure to the end” to be saved, just as the Old Covenant saints
had to do –Ezekiel 18:20-32, Matthew 24:13.
Calling on Christ to be saved and enduring to the end to be saved are not the same thing. They
are mutually exclusive. So references to each must refer to separate time periods –Joel 2:27-32,
John 3:7, Acts 2:16-21, Romans 10:8-13.
The Judgment of the Nations may also be when part (or all) of the scripture is fulfilled which
says the saints will judge angels –Matthew 19:28, 1 Corinthians 6:2-3, Revelation 2:26-27, 5:10,
12:5.
Holy angels will carry out all sentences during the Judgment of the Nations, which will take
place on earth–Matthew 13:41-42, 49, Mark 13:27[26-27].
The word “waits,” as used in Daniel 12:12, implies the seventy-five days following the Battle of
Armageddon, may still be difficult/dangerous for those who have not yet pledged allegiance to the
Man of Sin [by worshipping him as God] during his reign of terror.
The seventy-five days will likely impact mostly Jews, since the prophet Daniel is our primary
source of that specific time-frame. And though the fulfillment of his visions will impact the entire
world, the time-frame he was given [of seventy weeks for everything to be fulfilled], concern his
people [the Jews] and his city [Jerusalem] –Daniel 9:24.
Those who survive THE GREAT TRIBULATION and the Battle of Armageddon must pass
under what is called the “Rod of Judgment.” It is at this judgment, called “The Judgment of the
Nations” that both nations and individuals will be granted or denied entrance into Christ’s kingdom
based upon their treatment of the tribulation saints, which will be both the heavily persecuted
Jewish people and the non-Jewish (gentile) believers –Matthew 25:31-46, Luke 12:42-46.
No details, beyond those relating to the Judgment of the Nations and perhaps the cleansing of
the Holy of Holies, are provided concerning what will be happening during the seventy-five days
following Armageddon, so we must accept by faith that this promise will be relevant for those
living on earth at the time Christ returns, and that by the scriptures *they will understand what it
all means and will draw strength to persevere just a few days longer –Daniel 8:13-14, *12:10,
12:11-12.
At any rate, all preliminaries to the official beginning of Christ’s earthly reign will be completed
within seventy-five days of his physical and visible return to earth for the second time.
Those who survive the Judgment of the Nations, will be rewarded by hearing the words, “Come,
you blessed of my Father inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world”
–Matthew 25:34.
Many passages refer to the Judgment of the Nations. The following are just a few examples:
 The gathering of the nations for judgment: Matthew 25:32-34, Isaiah 43:5-9, 56:8, 66:18
 The administrators of Christ’s government: Matthew 19:28
 Angelic involvement in the gathering and the judgment: Mark 13:27, Matthew
24:31,13:39, 41,49
 The seventy-five days: Daniel 12:11-12

Below are additional references to the Judgment of the Nations:

 Matthew 13:37-43, 49-50, 25:31-46
 Ezekiel 20:37-38
 Proverbs 29:16
 Isaiah 2:4, 45:20-24, 60:12

Criteria for Entrance into Christ’s Earthly Kingdom

After the battle of Armageddon, angels will assist in separating the wheat from the tares (false
believers from real ones). And every nation on earth will undergo a judgment to determine which
nations will retain their national identities during the first 1000 years of Christ’s Kingdom.
Satan’s global government during THE GREAT TRIBULATION will be an attempt to usurp
God’s plan for the global government predicted in the Bible. But God’s global government will
retain national borders. National identities will not be obliterated for those nations that showed
mercy to God’s persecuted people. Israel will retain her national identity and be elevated to great
power in Christ’s Kingdom. In fact, some nations will even retain their national identities into the
New Earth –Revelation 21:24-26, 22:2.
At the Judgment of the Nations, just and unjust alike will bow their knees to Christ and confess
that he is YHWH (Jehovah/Yahweh—the Almighty) to the glory of the Father –Isaiah 45:20-24,
Romans 14:10-11, Colossians 2:9, Philippians 2:9-11, Revelation 1:8.
Just as those who took The Mark of the Beast, professed allegiance to the Man of Sin and
worshipped him as Almighty God, all who are still alive at the visible return of Christ (2 nd Coming)
will be compelled to renounce all false gods/christs and acknowledge Jesus as the only Christ, the
Lord of lords, and the God of gods.
That confession, however, will not necessarily grant the confessors entrance into this phase of
his earthly kingdom (also known as the Millennium). All who worshipped the Man of Sin during
THE GREAT TRIBULATION will be automatically doomed. There will be no second chances
for anyone who takes the Mark of the Beast –Revelation 14:9-11, 19:20.
What other criteria will be used to judge the mortal survivors of THE GREAT TRIBULATION?
Matthew 25:34-40 lists some of the requirements for being granted entrance into Christ’s earthly
kingdom. These apply only to survivors who did not take the Mark of the Beast:
 Seeing Christ hungry and feeding him
 Seeing him thirsty and giving him something to drink
 Taking him in even though he was a stranger
 Seeing him naked and clothing him
 Caring for him when he is sick and in prison
In Matthew chapter twenty-six, Jesus vividly describes the plight of the tribulation saints [both
Jews and Christians] who will be brutally persecuted during THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE
/ THE GREAT TRIBULATION. We know this because Jesus is speaking to those who have been
judged either worthy or unworthy to enter his earthly Kingdom. Remember, Zechariah wrote of
the generation of Jews who will be alive at the 2nd Coming of Jesus, who will not have taken the
mark, but also have not as yet accepted Yeshua as Messiah, but they will do so when they see him
coming in power and great glory [along with the armies of Heaven] –Zechariah 12:10-14.
Mortals granted entrance into Christ’s earthly Kingdom, during the first 1000 years of his eternal
reign, will fall into one of two categories. They will either be Jewish or gentile believers who have
gone hungry, thirsty, without shelter, without proper clothing, and/or suffered imprisonment for
the name of Christ, and refused to worship the Man of Sin by taking his mark. Or, they will be
gentile unbelievers/nations 1, who for some reason had not taken the mark of allegiance to the Man
of Sin but, at great risk to their own lives/national security, showed mercy to God’s people 2.
This will apply to both national policy (sheep or goat nations) and to individuals.
During the Holocaust, many non-Jews risked their lives and freedom to rescue Jews from Hitler’s
death camps. The Ten Boom family and Oscar Schindler are just a few examples. They are honored
in Israel as Righteous People. There will be those who do the same for Jews and Christians during
THE GREAT AND TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD; Jesus said as much when he said anything
done for one of his own, was the same as doing it for him personally –Matthew 25:34-40.
Some of those judged unworthy to enter Christ’s Kingdom (or nations whose national identities
will be taken from them at the Judgment of the Nations) will have had it in their power to help
cruelly persecuted Jews and Christians yet chose not to.
They will ask, “When did we not do these things for you?” And His answer will be, “When you
did it not unto the least of those my brethren, you did it not unto me –Matthew 25:40, 45.”
Who are Christ’s brethren? The Jewish people are Christ’s brethren, because Jesus is a Jew. They
will be given supernatural assistance from God during this time of terror –Revelation 12:14, Daniel
12:1. Gentile Believers are also Christ’s brethren –Matthew 12:50, Mark 3:35.
Helping a persecuted saint at any time in history, is the same as helping Jesus personally. It is
the same for doing the opposite. Before the apostle Paul was converted, while he was still called
Saul, he viciously persecuted and murdered those who professed Jesus as Messiah. When Jesus
appeared to him at his conversion, he did not ask Saul why he was persecuting those who followed
him. He asked Saul why he was persecuting…him.
Jesus takes the persecution of those who belong to him very personally –Acts 9:4-5.
At the Judgment of the Nations, while individuals might survive the Rod of Judgment based
on their treatment of Jews and Christians, the nations they belong to will be subject to the same
criteria and either lose or retain their national identities in the global Kingdom of Christ. It is not
likely [but neither is it an impossibility] that individuals within nations that persecute God’s people
will refuse to obey national policy and assist those victimized by the vitriol of the Son of Perdition.
Aside from assisting the saints and refusing to worship the Man of Sin by taking his mark, there
will be one other requirement for being granted entrance into the earthly Kingdom of Christ…and
that is submission to Israel as Head Nation –Deuteronomy 28:13.
Isaiah was speaking of the Judgment of the Nations and beyond, when he said the nation or
kingdom that would not acknowledge Israel as the head nation will perish –Isaiah 60:12.
Some nations, like Israel, will retain their pre-Kingdom national identities, but after the Judgment
of the Nations, no nation will survive to retain its national identity without 1.) Acknowledging
Jesus as Yahweh 2.) Having been a haven for the persecuted Tribulation Saints (Jews and

1Scripture reveals that at least three nations will not submit to the Man of Sin and will escape out of his
hand –Daniel 11:41. The Bible mentions three middle eastern nations, but that does mean this is a
comprehensive list, globally. Some scholars believe that, globally, there is likely at least one more Shoebat.

2 Escaping out of the hand of the Man of Sin during THE GREAT TRIBULATION, is no guarantee of
surviving the Judgment of the Nations and gaining entrance into this phase of Christ’s Kingdom. For those
mortals on the right, “Sheep,” entering into the Joy of the LORD does not include being given glorified
bodies and is different from being “Born Again.” But all of these will have bowed their knees confessing
Jesus as YHWH and Israel as Head Nation. All mortal survivors of the judgment will have healing provided
for their bodies. And all will face a fiery purge following the final rebellion at the end of the One Thousand
Years (chapter 15) –Matthew 25.
Christians) 3.) Swearing allegiance to Israel as Head Nation – Isaiah 60:14, Matthew 25,
Philippians 2.

Because the Man of Sin will be indwelled by Satan himself, he will have an especial hatred in
his heart for Jews and Christians. He will set out to destroy them completely –Revelation 12:17,
Matthew 24:21, Daniel 7:25.
Those who take the Mark of the Beast and those who refuse to assist Christ’s brethren in their
time of desperate need will be cursed and banished—forever—from the presence of God and from
his power. Their place will be found in the Lake of Fire along with the Beast and the False Prophet
–Matthew 25:41, Revelation 19:20, 20:10, 14:9-11 [Daniel 11:45].

Weeping Wailing and Gnashing of Teeth

The Judgment of the Nations will be a terrifying judgment for those who are not granted entrance
into the Kingdom. Jesus said there will be weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth –Matthew
13:42,50, 8:11-12.
The Judgment of the Nations is the only judgment where there will be any question about who
“makes it” and who does not. That is because all who pass through this judgment will still be in
their mortal bodies. The purpose of this judgment has to do with both time and eternity—It decides
who will “make it” [and live on earth during the first 1000 years of Christ’s Eternal Kingdom] and
who will not “make it.” Those who do not “make it” will be doomed forever.
In this judgment, there is a frightening parallel between those Paul said will not die but be
changed and live forever (Harpazo/Rapture) and those at the Judgment of the Nations who will
not die but be changed and doomed forever –Matthew 13:36-42, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53.
All who stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ do not have to worry about whether they will
“make it” or not. The Judgment Seat of Christ takes place in Heaven at the end of the time of
“Christ in You,”—after the Resurrection and Rapture/Harpazo, and is for determining rewards—
not salvation. Only the saved will stand to be rewarded at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
All who are fortunate enough to be present at that judgment, have already “made it!”
Likewise, only the condemned will stand for sentencing before the Judge of All the Earth at the
Great White Throne Judgment (chapter 16). All who are judged at either the Judgment Seat of
Christ or the Great White Throne will know, in advance, whether or not they have “made it.”
To be present at the Judgment of the Nations holds no guarantee of either life or death, and most
people must survive horrific conditions for years to make it that far. It is not a chance worth taking.
And the chance need not be taken. If you are reading this and unsure of whether you will “make
it,” then take a moment and talk to God about it.
Do not put it off another second.
We have God’s promise, that all who come to him in a state of true sorrow for their sins and call
on him to save them through faith in His Risen Son, will be heard, forgiven, and saved –2
Corinthians 7:10, Romans 10:9-10,13kjv, 1 John 1:7-9, 5:11-12.
It is impossible to describe, or even imagine, the fear and torment that will result in weeping,
wailing, and gnashing of teeth at the Judgment of the Nations.
Those who take the Mark of the Beast will not be included in the Judgment of the Nations. They
will have already been gathered by the angels and cast into the Lake of Fire along with the Beast
and the False Prophet. They were condemned the moment they swore allegiance to God’s sworn
enemy by worshipping him and taking his mark –Revelation 14:1.
Those who do not “make it” through the Judgment of the Nations are also cast into what Jesus
called a “fiery furnace,” and somehow, there will be those who try to “crash the party” at the
Marriage Supper of the Lamb [which will take place on earth—(next chapter)]. They will not fare
any better.
People will do most anything they can to find relief from emotional distress. For sleeplessness,
depression, fear, and anxiety, they turn to physicians and medications such as sleeping pills, anti-
depressants, anti-anxiety meds, alcohol, legal and illegal drugs, or escape into sexual immorality.
Sadly, some are so desperate for relief they take their own lives.
Aside from the physical torments of hades, everyone who dies without belonging to Jesus Christ,
condemn themselves to an eternity of indescribable emotional torment. There will be no access to
anesthetizing drugs or behaviors that previously provided even temporary escape from emotional
distress. These will want to die but will be faced with the awful realization that they are already
dead, because death is not cessation of existence or consciousness. It is separation from the
Presence of God and his Life-Giving power.
Many will find themselves confined to the torments of hades, sheowl, the Lake of Fire, or Outer
Darkness3, because while they had the opportunity to determine eternal destinies of peace, joy, and
Eternal Life, they rejected the only true source of life and sought identity, status, relief, and
fulfillment in everything but Jesus. In the end, all of these will arrive at their eternal destination
and find themselves permanently confined to the Lake of Fire –Revelation 20.
Many who think they have Eternal Life because they give lip-service to God while living lives
only for themselves, will find, too late, that they are following another Jesus—not the Jesus of the
Bible, but one who has no power to save. They will find they have only a form of godliness, a
counterfeit faith –2 Corinthians 11:4.
Isaiah alluded to those who profess Christ but do not really know him. He wrote: “This people
draw near to me with their mouths, but their hearts are far from me” –Isaiah 29:13.
It is only while we are alive, here on earth, that we have opportunity to prepare for eternity. Once
we cross over from time into eternity—it is forever too late.
Many go to great effort and expense in preparing for uncertain futures here on earth, all the while
neglecting to make preparation for the one thing in life that is absolutely certain, the day of our
death. There is a generation of believers that will not die but be changed and live forever. It makes
no difference whether we die and are resurrected or if we are changed and caught up, both
eventualities must be prepared for –1 Corinthians 15:51-52.
Some of those who will be condemned at the Judgment of the Nations, who during their lifetimes
had ignorantly and arrogantly declared no fear of death or hell, will find themselves pleading
unashamedly for their lives, begging for just one more chance. Others who may have believed they
were ministers of righteousness, deceiving many by the unscriptural spiritual experiences they led
their followers into, or by the miracles, signs, or wonders that accompanied their “ministries,” will
be heard desperately reminding Jesus of all they had done in his name, only to be told they were
not counted among the ministers of righteousness. They will finally be exposed as, what Jesus
called, “workers of iniquity” –Matthew 7:15-23, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, 2 Thessalonians 2:9, 2,
Revelation 13:13-14, 16:14, Corinthians 11:13-15.
This writer believes God calls into the ministry every type of leader listed in Ephesians chapter
four, but cautions readers to judge every utterance by the written Word of God—no matter how
revered and trusted a leader may be. Jesus left us an example of this when he declared, “It is
Written! –Matthew 4:4,7,10.

3 These places are not all synonymous.

Jesus warned that spiritual scammers (wolves) can look just like sheep. Satan can transform
himself into an angel of light, and his ministers can look just like ministers of righteousness. That
means, unless we are carefully observant and weigh everything they say against what has already
been written, we can be deceived. Paul said such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ –2 Corinthians 11:13-15.
They will be convincing. They will look like the real thing. But they will not be the real thing.
The closer we get to the return of Jesus; the more false prophets will abound and proliferate.
Association with them has the potential of becoming eternally terminal. It was Jesus who said that
when the blind lead the blind, all fall into the ditch –Matthew 15:14, Revelation 13:14, 16:13.
We must follow the example of our Lord himself and judge all things by the Word of God. We
must unashamedly declare, as Jesus did, “It is Written!”
Many testify to experiencing paradigm shifts concerning beliefs. This can be a good thing if the
shift is towards belief in the Risen Son of God and towards the Written Word of God. But take
care if the shift is in the other direction.
Is it time to take personal and spiritual inventory?
The apostle Paul warned that a major paradigm-shift away from the Word of God [and the simple
and exclusive faith it teaches] will take place shortly before the Man of Sin is revealed. He wrote,
“Let no one deceive you, that day shall not come except there be a falling away first…”
The falling away Paul writes of, is a terminal defection from the real Jesus to another Jesus—to
one who cannot save. Some will call themselves Christians but will unashamedly reject biblical
Christianity in favor of an almost completely inclusive experiential faith that despises the teachings
of the Bible.
God says he honors his WORD above his Name. So, when Christians hear leaders say things
like, “The Bible is an idol!” or “God is bigger than his book!” Walk away. These are spoken of by
Jude and called “Clouds without water…Trees whose fruit withers…Without fruit…Twice
dead…Raging waves of the sea foaming out their own shame.”
Jesus will tell them, “I never knew you!”
If he is referring to those who may have fallen away or defected from the true faith through an
unfortunate change in basic assumptions, won’t he be lying when he says, “I never knew you?”
Consider this passage from Ezekiel: “If the wicked shall turn from all their sins… all their
transgressions that they have committed, they shall not be mentioned to them…but when the
righteous turn away from their righteousness…all the righteousness that they have done shall not
be mentioned…. –Ezekiel 18:21-24”
Do not think that cannot happen in New Testament Christianity. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 says it can,
and it will. Hebrews 6:4-8 confirms this. Need more convincing? Read Jesus’ letters to the
churches in the second and third chapters of The Revelation.
When Jesus denies ever having known these deceitful workers, is he saying he was never aware
of their existence or identities? Of course not. He created us; he is aware of every detail of our
existence. He knew us before we were ever conceived in our mother’s womb’s. He knows all about
us. And yet, he describes a time when he will tell many (who believed they had been serving him),
“I never knew you” –Psalm 139:15-16, Matthew 7:22-23.
Relationship is what he is talking about.
The Word of God teaches that knowing Jesus entails much more than just knowing about him,
or taking in a lot of information (knowledge) about him. We can know all about him, yet never
really know him. Jesus is our Creator. He knows all about every one of us. But the day is coming
when he will tell many, “I never knew you.”
Knowing about someone is vastly different from knowing them.
Everyone knows that.
We can thoroughly research everything that can be found about our State Governors. We can
know so much about them we could be certified as experts on knowing all about them. But even
with all that knowledge, if we have never personally met them and developed a relationship with
them, could we honestly claim to know any of them?
Eternal Life can only be attained by a personal and life-changing encounter with the Risen Son
of God, Jesus. Then we begin building a relationship with our Creator that is based on faith, trust,
and obedience. Leading someone into “the love of Christ” will not save them. Jesus loves every
one of us. He loves the entire world. Jesus has so much love for every single human that he died
for the sins of the entire world –John 3:16, 2 Timothy 2:3-6.
But the world is not saved through his love.
The knowledge of his love and the knowledge that he gave his life so that we might live, the
knowledge of his death, burial, and resurrection…must be acted upon through faith in his sacrifice
and in heartfelt sorrow for our own sins.
Jesus said, “You must be born again.” So, how does that happen? The Bible says we are baptized
into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, and if we do not have the Holy Spirit, we do not belong
to Christ. How does that happen –John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 12:13?
Being born again and being baptized into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit, are the direct
results of coming to God on his terms. His terms involve repentance from sin and profession of
faith in his Risen Son –Acts 2:38, Romans 5:23, 10:9-10,13.
Some people have no trouble admitting they know Jesus loves them but are honest enough to
admit that they are not yet Heirs of Life, because they have not yet chosen to respond in faith and
repentance to the glad tidings that Jesus, the Son of God, paid the price for our sins by dying, being
buried, and rising from the dead. They understand that only those who respond in faith to the
preaching of this Good News are saved –1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
Jesus commanded us to preach the good news of his death, burial, and resurrection to all the
peoples of the world, because only through acceptance of this happy report can people become
heirs of Eternal Life. The Bible tells us the Gospel message itself is the power of God unto
salvation –Matthew 7:23, John 17:3, Romans 1:16, 1 Corinthians 1:21, 15:1-4.
If anyone belongs to an organization that says anything different from what Jesus says about
this, do not fear them. Do not be afraid of their threats of excommunication. Jesus Christ alone
(the physically resurrected Son of God) saves without any help from any other so-called mediator,
either earthly or Heavenly –2 Timothy 2:5-6.
The Bible says Jesus is the only mediator between God and his human creation, and no person
or organization can pluck one of his own out of his hand. Turn to the real Jesus and receive Eternal
Life today –Acts 4:10-12, Romans 10:9-10, 13, John 10:27-29.
If anyone is affiliated with a person, organization, or movement that claims exclusive
interpretation of the Bible, elevates extra-scriptural knowledge and enlightenment above the
Written Word of God, meditation, spiritual experiences, prophesying, signs, or wonders above
written biblical truth, take special heed. It is these that Jesus singles out to illustrate the dangers of
thinking one knows Christ but does not –Isaiah 8:20, Matthew 7:22-23.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit are real. We should welcome them, desire them, seek them. But
carefully judge all things by the written Word of God. The Holy Spirit will give discernment
according to the written Word of God, in knowing the difference between true or false.
Those who profess Christ and are involved with unscriptural—occult—practices and
manifestations, and do not repent of and renounce these things immediately, run a risk of being
given over to believe a lie and falling away. If that happens, all possibility of salvation will be
gone forever. THE GREAT TRIBULATION, the Judgment of the Nations, or The Great White
Throne Judgment may be all they have to look forward to –Matthew 7:15-23, 2 Thessalonians 2:3,
9-11, Hebrews 6:4-8, 10:24-29.
When the Judgment of the Nations and the Wedding Supper of the Lamb (next chapter) are over,
Jesus Christ will finally be coronated as the physical heir to David’s throne, and a new era of
unprecedented peace will begin –Daniel 9:24, Isaiah 9:6-7.
