A JOURNEY INTO ANCIENT MYSTERY SCHOOLS By Zachary Selig

Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico

SPIRITUAL TRAINING My mentor in Mexico was the Magic Realist painter Bridget Bate Tichenor, who considered her work to be of a spiritual nature, reflecting ancient occult religions, magic, alchemy, and Mesoamerican mythology in her Italian Renaissance style of painting. Bridget generously presented me with a gift for my twentyfirst birthday in 1971 of her mother Sarah Gertrude (Vera)
1

Arkwright Bate Lombardis Theosophical book-collection of 19th and 20th Century Theosophical Society authors. When Bridget presented the gift of these brilliant British and American authors she stated, England has always been disinclined to human nature, therefore be aware of the intellectual filter of Anglican Church psychological background of the authors that translated these 3,000 year old Sanskrit documents into English. The United States psychology is based on a British Protestant societal moral code and Latin America is founded upon Catholicism, which both suppress human nature. Bridget discussed the philosophies in the books with me. Russian born Madame Helene Petrovna Blavatsky was an enigma of the nineteenth century in her founding of Theosophy in New York in 1875. Her extensive writings that began with The Secret Doctrine and Isis Unveiled provoked a frenzy of resentment that violated the sacred opinions of theologians with the introduction of Ancient Wisdom to the modern world. Blavatsky was an Occult Orientalist and a faithful disciple of Eastern Masters. No other non-Hindu woman has ever penetrated so far into the depths of Brahmanism. In the East she was called The Great White Yogini. She fitted together parts of occult lore as no other thinker in modern times has done, dividing with clarity relevancy from irrelevancy. She collated her golden thoughts in an eternal temple of wisdom that has been unprecedented. In her time she was deeply misunderstood in the Western world through a lack of Occidental understanding the Oriental Philosophies. She elaborately laid out the foundations of what became Theosophy supporting cosmogensis principles founded upon the Ancient Wisdom of a broad Ancient World Theologies. Much of her writing was channeled through a great Mahatama known as Master Morya, Ahazhulama, or the Blue Teacher, who is one of the worlds great souls and an Adept of the Trans-Himalayan Brotherhood, whose members are

dedicated to the service of the spiritual needs of mankind. The Theosophists were historically the Neo-Platonists of Alexandria, Egypt, the Alchemists, and Cabbalists during the mediaeval ages, and much later the Universal Brotherhood or Theosophical Society founded in New York by Colonel H.S. Olcott and Mme. H. P. Blavatsky in 1875. The original Theosophical Society group split several times and today is divided into several schools that carry the name Theosophy. The Theosophists are to this day all great lovers of divine wisdom and truth of many global religions that originated in Ancient Wisdom Doctrines, which is reflected from a primarily Vedic cosmogenisis principle. At the end of the 19th Century, Blavatsky and many other teachers and authors from the formative group of Theosophists such as Annie Besant, Alice Bailey, Sir John Woodroffe, and Charles Leadbeater received their spiritual directives for Sanskrit translations and theological coding systems from Tibetan Mahatmas and Indian Nagas (Eastern terminologies for Wise Men, Great Souls, or Avatars who evolve after death into Ascended Masters). Vera Bate Lombardi had been first introduced to Theosophy in Paris through her relationship with the early British Theosophical authors Charles Leadbetter and Sir John Woodroffe. Both became her clairvoyants and spiritual mediums that she met through her close friendship with the poet Vita Sackville West in London. Leadbeater had given Vera spiritual readings in Paris regarding the future WW II and the manipulations that would occur in her professional life with Coco Chanel as her muse and public relations liaison to members of Royal families from Britain, Europe, Russia, and Asia. He warned her that Chanel would use her for her own professional gain and try to betray England, along with the British Royal Family before she began to work for Chanel. Vera did not listen to his advice, as his predicated tragedies did unfold.

Veras daughter Bridget Bate Tichenor stated, In Veras early years she followed Hindu Philosophy with Sir John Woodroffe in London and was considered a mystic, advising both luminaries and bohemians. Vera was involved with the philosophical doctrine of Spiritism and organized sances in which she produced figurative drawings of human and animal spirits. She had the supernatural ability to see and express things in intimate details. As an inspiring young adult, her esoteric insight was sought after by friends, such as Isadora Duncan, Marchesa Casati, Andre Breton, Sergei Diaghlev, and Jean Cocteau. Many of those great Theosophical books that Bridget Bate Tichenor gave me in 1971 that related to Chakra Science were later to become one of the referencing cornerstones for my creation of THE RELAXATIA CODEXTM. The earliest significant English translations of Sanskrit text regarding Chakra Science in regard to the principles of Tantra appeared in the first quarter of the 20th Century in the publications of the Theosophist Sir John Woodroffe in his Principles of Tantra (Madras, 1914), Shakti and Shakta (Madras, 1928) The Serpent Power (Madras, 1931), Introduction to and Tantra Shastra (Madras -1969). Bridget Tichenor taught me the principles of focusing my mind in Raja Yoga study. She also trained my mind-to-hand coordination by giving me Tantric painting exercises in which I was directed to paint squares, crescent moons, triangles, circles, hexagons, pentagons, double crosses, stars, swastikas, lotuses, and dots (the geometric and symbolic foundations of both Mandala and Yantra cosmograms) with three sable haired brushes in one continuous stroke. She said that a well-trained Tantrika is empowered to create either benevolent or malevolent Yantras, but that evil thoughts placed in such designs hurt the designers who create them through bad character judgment. Bridget trained me with other focusing and balancing techniques in drawing and painting that reflected the purpose of all
4

schools of Yoga, which is to resolve human duality through unity. I continued my studies with Raja Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Japa Yoga with teachers in Sun Valley, Idaho in 19751976 where I first saw my soul within my Spirit Body. Bridget stressed my studies of Tantra. Tantra is defined in Sanskrit with what extends, continues, or multiplies the process of knowledge. Tantrism appeared as early as the 4th century in India and later developed both in Hinduism and Buddhism from the mysterious pre-Aryan and pre-Dravidian tribes (Sumerians), who entered India from Persia carrying Ancient Sacred Knowledge that had originated in Egypt and Mesopotamia. Bridget discussed with me her theories of the great biblical flood of Noah, and the origins of the Caucasian (Aryan) race in what is today Armenia and Turkey in the Caucus Mountains, who historically formed the Aryan and Dravidian tribes that migrated East after the famed deluge occurring over the lands around the Black Sea. Tantrism is a highly developed psychological science that has shaped every Oriental doctrine in India, China, Tibet, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. The earliest written records are in the Vedic Brahman Hindu Indian Upanishads The Brihadaranyaka and the Chhandogya. Tantric doctrine is composed of the seven Chakras with the Kundalini in a system of Tantric Yoga. The aim of Tantric Yoga is to arouse the Kundalini in the first Chakra at the base of the spine, and direct the flow of Kundalini up the central spinal column through the other five Chakras to the Crown Chakra at the top of the head. The central spinal column has two other flanking and crossing channels that are called Nadis Channels that are the female white Ida on the left side of the Root Chakra and the male red Pingala on the right side of the Root Chakra. The aim of the Tantrika or student Tantra is to bring these two polarities together at the base of the spine at the entrance to the central spinal column in specific breathing techniques by alternating the flow of air through each nostril called Pranayama. The Pranayama activates the two Nadis Channels to push up the

Kundalini through the seven Chakras, awakening and transforming the psychology, physiological, and emotional aspects of the practitioner that each Chakra represents. During my spiritual formative years of the 1970s, Bridget trained me with my early Tantric Yoga practices that later lead me to investigate the Kundalini process within myself. She stressed that I learn the ancient Mystery School foundations of ritual magic, divine assistance, and mystical enlightenment that all religions are concerned with in postmortem security. I studied the many books she gave me and followed her directives with great insights and that successfully raised the Kundalini, but the Kundalini experience with an application to healing was what I yearned for. MEXICAN PUREPECHA SHAMANS/ESPIRITUALISTAS My journey into the traditional healing arts begins with this excerpt from my 2002 autobiography: I remember taking a long ten-mile hike up on the Salmon River before I left Sun Valley, Idaho in 1976. I asked my guides what was the next step. I watched two eagles diving for fish in the river. As one of the eagles swooped down to catch a trout, it made a giant splash of water that shot up to reflect a golden fountain of light on the river. At that moment, I heard a voice say to me, It is time for you to gain insight, training, and application of the healing arts. Where did this voice come from? Who or what was giving me this direction? Where and how was I to get this knowledge? Finally, one day during my meditation, I saw a giant luminous golden figure approximately sixty feet above my head. This image was the first time that I received my Spirit Bodys visual identification, which was an androgynous golden figure with a white light cord connecting to the body. A voice said emphatically, Zachary, it is time for you to return to Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico! Zihuatanejo? Why not Paris, where I could continue my work as a painter?
6

Then I remembered my first trips to Zihuatanejo in 1970. I arrived in a small single engine plane that I chartered from Mexico City to land on a dirt road in a Coconut plantation. There was a rustic shack on the landing strip that was combination airport/big-game hunting office that consisted of thick slab of Bocote wood as a bar with a massive stuffed coiled and hissing rattlesnake. The walls were covered in Jaguar, Puma, Ocelot, and Boar mounted heads. There were Jaguar skins covering other walls with stuffed Crocodiles, Sea Tortoises, Iguanas, Armadillos, Swordfish, Marlin, Dorado, and Barracuda. The sand floor had baskets of seashells, alligator handbags, shoes, and belts for sale. I stayed at the Catalina Hotel, where there was not one footprint in the sand of La Ropa Beach and the environment was pristine. There were only a few Americans living in the coconut huertas, who later made that very beach their home such as my lifetime friend Tania Scales and her family. The magical Zihuatanejo bay I recalled was a Gauguin paradise. Scenes of women washing their clothing with naked children under a bridge, splashing in the crystal clear river that ran into the ocean near the village came to mind. Most of all I recalled the powerful light and high vibrations of peace. Again, I had an overwhelming sense of direction that could not be stopped. I had to surrender completely to my gut feelings of serenity versus my intellect. The communication from my soul within my Spirit Body known as the Higher Self to my mind soon proved to be a prophetic message. My soul responded to an ancient call of my ancestors. Zihuatanejos Nahuatl name is Cihuatlan, and based upon 20tth and 21stt century archaeological findings in Xihuacan near the village of Chole, was founded over 3,500 years ago by the Olmec culture, 850 years earlier than the Maya. After the conquest, the Spaniards arrived in Cihuatlan in 1582 for gold and pearls, and asked the women, Where are the boys and men? The women told them that this is a
7

Matriarch. If they birthed boys, they were sent out of Cihuatlan to be raised by their fathers families. The Spanish laughed when they were informed Cihuatlan in Nauhuatl means land of women. They called it Cihuat-tanejo, nejo meaning, dirty. The legend goes that the women who lived in CIhuatlan washed dirty clothes in the river, and thus the name became misinterpreted. In the 16th century, the Spaniards were given legends by the local Indians of a great mother civilization that sank in the Pacific that the people of CIhuatlan had come from. There were earlier digs than the discoveries in nearby Chole in 1921 by mineralogist William Niven looking for Gold and SIlver, who discovered a group of undecipherable tablets in Rio del Oro, near Placeres del Oro, Guerrero in the sierra North East of Zihuatanejo. In 1921, William Niven, a miner and excavator, claimed to have discovered over 2,600 inscribed tablets while digging at an archaeological site in Rio del Oro near Placeres del Oro, Guerrero, 2 hours North East of Zihuatanejo in the mountains. Niven's discovery led James Churchward, a tea planter in Sri Lanka, to claim in his book, The Lost Continent of Mu (1926) to have found tablets of the same type some 50 years earlier when he was living in India. Churchward never printed copies of his original findings in India, but did obtain copies of rubbings of Nivens tablets that he illustrated and printed without authorization from Niven in his books The Sacred Symbols of Mu and The Pixeyites: Manuscripts and Original Art Work by James Churchward 1925-1932 "All of the figures in Pixeyites are exact reproductions of symbolical figures found at Chimalpa, Remedios, San Miguel, Amantla, Santiago, Ahuizotla, and other nearby villages from 4 to 6 miles north-west of Mexico City. Churchward writes in his forward to Pixeyites. Churchward stated in The Sacred Symbols of Mu that Nivens findings in Guerrero were relevant to Mu; the tablets from the burial sites in Guerrero referenced the Quetzal
8

religion of the Naacals that colonized the region from MU, pre-dating Olmec, Maya, Toltec, and Aztec Quetzalcoatl cultural evolution from the original paradigm. Niven learned of Churchward's books from a friend and was intrigued by his theories, but knew that scientists would be skeptical. Essentially Nivens findings in Churchwards hands were given a life of their own. Niven said about Churchward's work: His wonderful imagination in the accumulation of evidence from any source to prove his pet belief in the destruction of Mu...and his reckless extravagance in computing dates, must make the judicious grieve. Notwithstanding, some of my friends think that he may have paved the way for the correct deciphering of my tablets. Later anthropologists such as my professor Baron Alexander Von Wuthenau, Lost Continent scholars, and authors did theorize upon Churchwards deciphering of Nivens tablets throughout Mexico to be applicable to the origins of Mu and proved them to not only be older than the Olmec in the locations found, but valid in association to Mu in their incomparable Mesoamerican symbolic reference. Niven was not an anthropologist or an archaeologist; therefore he was unorganized in the findings documentation and preservation. Niven was not interested in ancient history, as he was interested in selling the tablets, which were copied on paper, but eventually lost in the sale shipment from Mexico to the US. Churchward claims that the tablets originated in a lost continent called Mu and were written by an ancient people named the Naacals who were the original inhabitants of the Earth. Churchward claimed his tablets were transferred to Burma, then to India, then Egypt, where they were dispersed around the globe, including where Niven unearthed them in Mexico. In other words, the same set of tablets Churchward had, was also discovered by Niven in Guerrero. According to Churchward, there were apparently many original sets duplicated.

Anthropologists such as Von Wuthenau correlated the area near and above Zihuatanejo called Placeres del Oro, Guerrero as a colony of the ancient continent of Mu that was settled by the Nacaals. According to Churchward, Mu and its civilization dated to before the ancient Greeks, Chaldeans, Babylonians, Persians, Egyptians, and Hindus but were far more advanced than any of them. In fact, he claimed it was more advanced than our own civilization. The continent of Mu existed 50,000 years ago and had 64,000,000 inhabitants, some of whom migrated to India, then Egypt, then Sinai, and it follows the story of the Bible after that. The boundaries of the continent Mu stretched from Hawaii to Fiji and Easter Island, also known as the Pacific Rim. The writings on the Naacal tablets, according to Churchward, confirmed the creation of Earth and humans, which had originated on the lost continent of Mu. Churchward claims Mu was destroyed by massive natural disasters and cataclysmic events, which caused it to vanish in a vortex of water and fire 12,000 years ago. The Naacal tablets were separated into several series, or chapters rather, that tell the story of the creation and destruction of Mu. Tablets Series one: Shows the origin of the world and the waiting of the expected arrival of man. Series two: Shows the creation of mountains by rising gases. Series three: Describes the creation of the great forces throughout the universe and how they work. Series four: Explains the differentiation of the two divisions of Earths primary force. Series five: Depicts the creation and workings of Earths atomic force. Series six: Shows the creation of the force that creates and sustains life and how it works.

10

Series seven: Describes the beginning of life and shows what that means, as well as the different, changing forms of life. Series eight: The creation of man takes place and the tablets show how the life form of man differentiates from all else. Series nine: Says that man first appeared on the Motherland of Man, or Mu. Series ten: Were much larger than the tablets in the preceding series. These tablets were used as a key to understand the previous tablets and the glyphs, symbols, and hidden messages that are written as the story of the creation of Mu. Churchward believed these to be the beginning of thousands of more tablets that portray the entire ancient history of the Naacal people and their original habitation of the Earth. There were three years that followed my earlier spiritual visions from ages twenty-six to twenty-nine 1976-1979 that I spent working in the healing arts with powerful Tarascan Purepecha Indian Nahualli Shamans in the Sierra Madre above Zihuatanejo, Mexico in the region of the Niven tablet findings. The wise Nahuallis taught me that the purpose of life and death was for the purification of the soul, and that sacrifices of righteousness for purification were necessary to ultimately and permanently connect with God for the Spirit Body or Higher Self to direct Gods will, knowledge, courage, and silence into an individuals human consciousness. The sometimes sad and painful tests and trials of individuals enabled those chosen Initiates of Ancient Mystery Knowledge to help support, comfort, service, care, and love others both in life and afterlife. They said that part of Gods plan is that each incarnation be veiled in the forgetting of the former life, in order that an individual learn from a clear perspective a present consciousness. They focused upon the point that both human incarnations on earth and spiritual underworld purgatory suffering of all

11

souls were to diminish karma; but, that a soul connected to the Spirit Body or Higher Power would never sacrifice its identity or purpose, nor surrender unbalancing dispersions of Light to anything that was not of a co-generating Light. The universal laws of abundance were stressed. Where as deprivation consciousness, portrayed in the guise of sacrifice was looked upon as a Mosaic, Christian, or Isalmic belief to subordinate the masses for financial control through a fear/shame/guilt belief that is completely destructive to spiritual wholeness. My fieldwork as an apprentice Shaman/Spiritualist began one hot dry late March 1976 afternoon when the wind of the Mexican Pacific Tropics blew softly across my face as I descended from the small plane at the airport in Zihuatenjeo. My Spirit Body had guided me here to receive my training in the healing arts, and it felt deliciously right! Mexico had always been home to me from childhood trips with my family at age 13, to studying Mesoamerican Anthropology at The University of the Americas in Mexico City at 16, and to apprenticing with some of the greatest Mexican Surrealist painters such as the late Bridget Bate Tichenor and Pedro Friedeberg beginning at 20. I loved Mexico for many reasons, but primarily for its compassionate people. The difference in this trip was that my Spirit Body was guiding me versus my mind or its intellectual interests. One morning, a few days after I had arrived at The Hotel Catalina on La Ropa Beach, I was meditating in my hammock above the cool foam-green tiled terrace of my cabana. I opened my eyes and gazed across the lush tropical garden and into the marked gradations of the turquoise blue Pacific some 200 feet below my terrace. The light was brilliant! There was a sense of oneness that I felt, and a complete surrender to trusting the Universe. I felt safe. I was not thinking. I was feeling. I had been suffering from painful migraine headaches, fever, and nausea since my arrival. At that moment, I felt a complete reprieve. I knew that my questions would be answered regarding finding the teachers who would instruct me in the healing arts. I was in a state of
12

trusting my Spirit Body. A weathered Tarascan Indian gardener appeared in the flowering garden just below my cabana. He was wearing a yellow straw hat and the white manta costume of the Mexican coastal tribes. He was hoeing the rich dark volcanic earth to the plant fruit trees. I stood up from the hammock and asked him, Senor, excuse me. Do you know of a curendero (healer) in this area? He stopped his work, resting his body on the hoe, and raised his sun bronzed chiseled face towards me to reply, Si Senor, there is a village of curenderos (healers) just north of Zihuatanjeo. The village is called El Limon. All of our families from the regional villages go there to be healed when they are sick. The foreigners do not go there, nor do the upper class Mexicans. There is a long line sometimes; so, prepare yourself to wait when you go. You can tell them that Don Miguel sent you. When you completely trust the higher power of your Spirit Body a peaceful mental, emotional, and physical state occurs, and material manifestations can happen immediately. This happened in my case exactly at the right time. The gardener gave me the direction to my purpose for being in Zihuatanejo. Early the next morning I hired a taxi to drive me from the hotel to the village of El Limon. I arrived at row of six small humble red-tiled roof and white adobe houses, with a seventh palm thatched-roof house at the end, on a dirt road just off the main highway. The driver left me at the first house where the door was open. A tall green-eyed and light alabaster-skinned Mexican woman with a serene smile came out on the steps to greet me. She introduced herself as Dona Marta, and she assured me that I had come to the right place. She invited me into the cool immaculately swept beige clay floored house that had a number of elderly Indians and Mexicans dressed completely in white seated at a rustic wooden table drinking coffee. There were chickens, dogs, pigs, and an assortment of naked young children moving in and out of the house as I entered. I announced
13

that the gardener at the Hotel Catalina had sent me. Dona Marta asked me if I would like some water and if I would like to join the others at the table. It was beastly hot and I gladly accepted the water. The atmosphere in the room had an illuminated quality. The older people were smiling at me as I approached them, and Dona Marta formally introduced me to the group. I was very excited, and a bit taken back, by the fact that I was in a village of healers! I questioned Dona Marta on what their belief system was, how they worked, when they worked, and what would it involve for me to learn from them. Her eyes opened wide and she looked to the others smiling before she replied. She said, We are Spiritualists, who work through the Christ within each humans Spiritual Body. We are not Christians or Catholics, but work with the Ancient Wisdom School teachings that were taught to Jesus, Kukulcan, Osiris, and Buddha. The original Spirit Body and ascension teachings were brought from Atlantis to not only Egypt and India, but to the Americas with the Olmec, Maya, Mixteca, Tarascans, and others. Throughout Mexico and Latin America the blend of our ancient indigenous beliefs and practices were mixed with the Spiritualism movement created by the Frenchman Alan Kardec in the late 19th century In our group there is a young hunchback and dwarf psychic Don Luis, who diagnosis illness through his clairvoyant faculties. He can determine whether the patients malady is of a mental, spiritual, or physical nature. He then consults with the white haired and blue-eyed Tarascan Indian medical doctor Don Fernando, who is a medium. Don Fernando was born to a family of Nahuals (form-changing sorcerers who can be either malevolent or benevolent), and he was guided in his youth to use his faculties as medium combined with traditional medicine. Don Fernando is a medium that goes into a spiritual trance to receive both a diagnosis and a prescription from his Spiritual Guides. All of his guides are doctors and scientists whom are deceased.

14

Don Fernando and Don Luis work together to prescribe the patients cure based upon their collective analysis. We work with our traditional medicinal Tarascan Indian herbal remedies that have been used here in Mexico for thousands of years, modern medical drugs and technology; and, most importantly through God, the Holy Spirit, and a multitude of spiritual entities. The healings are performed here only on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM. The consultations for patients are Monday through Saturday at the same hours. We are in prayer on Sunday at 10:00 AM 12:00 PM. There is no fee for our work. Donations are accepted. The President of Mexico Luis Echeverria gave us this land and the money to build the houses in gratitude for the miraculous healing that occurred with his wife here. Dona Marta and the others looked earnestly at me through the hot tropical morning for my response. The people were motionless, but emanated a powerful force field of radiating and pulsating light. Suddenly, I saw and felt a ray of golden light shoot up from the group through the roof of the building into the heart of my Spirit Body, which was attached by a golden cord to the top of my head, and hovering approximately sixty feet above myself in the sky. This was my Spirit Body known as the Higher Self and I could feel the essence of my soul! I could at last identify my own Sprit Body and its visual connection to both my mind and my body. I was speechless! Finally, all I could say was Thank you. My prayers had manifested into sequential materialized events and visions, which I would soon follow into a three-year apprenticeship of Spiritism with these most extraordinary people. My work in El Limon and the experiences I had became my spiritual foundation for life! Dona Marta left me at her house to walk down to their Healing Temple at the end of the road She returned shortly with both Don Luis and Don Fernando. They were identically dressed in fresh white Guayavera cotton long-sleeve shirts, white cotton trousers, and tan huarachi leather sandals. They introduced themselves and asked if I was ready to
15

begin the diagnosis work. I said, Yes, lets begin now. I left with the two men to go to the second house, which they called the Vision Temple. They said, This is where we diagnose the patients. We entered the stark one-room house. There were several chairs against a white adobe wall with an old wooden school desk loaded with stacks of manila colored folders in the middle of the room. Don Luis, the hunchback dwarf psychic Mexican man of about twenty-five asked that I be seated. They pointed to a wooden chair facing the desk. He took a chair and sat facing me in front of the desk. Don Fernando, the blue-eyed and white bearded Tarascan Indian medical doctor/Medium, took another chair and sat next to him. The psychic Don Luis asked that I place my hands palms-up on my knees and keep my feet together on the ground. Both men began to pray and after a few minutes stopped. The sunlight blazed through the windows in the house, creating a ball of golden light around both men. The house appeared to float with an undulating movement. I felt a strong presence of a large group of people in the room, yet there was just the three of us there. There was a sense of the house then being moved up and suspended by some force. Suddenly, the elderly white-bearded Doctor/Medium Don Fernando, whose eyes were closed, emphatically said, Many great spirits of doctors have come today to speak to us concerning your case. Some of these spirits, who hold medical records, are your personal spirit guides that have always been with you and always will be with you. Then there are the ancient ones that guide them from this land of CIhuatlan. They are saying that you have come to us to become initiated with The Great White Light of God and learn to be guided by the Dead who lived here thousands of years ago as an Espiritualista. Afterwards, you can begin to learn how to fulfill your destiny with your faculties as a Psychic and a Healer. Your spiritual brothers of light say that in the Akashic records it is karmicly programmed for you, in this lifetimes mission, to carry this knowledge to the
16

world. The Akashic Records are a cosmic memory bank of all actions and memories from the beginning of time of all human beings, which can be accessed for past life information. I defensively thought to myself, I am a human being and have no aspirations whatsoever to be the next messiah, nor do I want to receive directives from the Dead. This message holds a rather profound responsibility; and, I am a bit afraid of the Spiritual quest I have involved myself with here in Zihuatanejo! I want to hold on to being human I am only twenty-six years old. Visions of the life of an Eastern ascetic holy man came into my mind. My mind became frozen with fearful thoughts, blocking and resisting these spiritual messages. How can I be both spiritual and human? What about my sex life in this wilderness? Then the hunchback dwarf psychic Don Luis began to speak, You were born into a family in this lifetime that did not love you and ignored you. Your parents violated and abused you mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. All of these horrendous acts of human violation against you did not destroy your soul within your Spirit Body; but did make your ego or mental will in your physical body defiant and rebellious against others and yourself, reflecting the separation of your soul from your Spirit Body or Higher Self. At times of true consciousness, you did not fall prey to victimization or self-pity patterns, as you were lead by the omnipotence of your Spirit Body into situations that reflected your attributes through your enormous gratitude of Gods blessings. This awareness of your Spirit Body or Higher Self came early in life as your protector and guardian that connected you with God. Yet, most of your life has been handicapped by great sadness, fear, and pain. Unfortunately, due to the schism of your Soul from your Spirit Body, the family conditioning has deep attachments in your ego with illusionary negative belief systems that affect your mind. Both the separation within your soul and from your Spirit Body through your mind has attracted much pain and
17

suffering in your life. These negative psychological patterns from your soul and family karmic history must be broken for you to attend to your tasks ahead. Some of these patterns are conscious, but many issues still remain unconscious. The past spiritual crimes of your parents must be identified in detail with your reactions that established behavioral patterns, so that you may break the harmful programming so as not to become a victim and let such violations occur again. There is great danger with the forces of darkness that gravitate to these negative thoughts, and you have many dark spirits who have not reincarnated that are attached to the powerful light within your Soul. They are like astral vampires, which feed on every aspect of your being. Because of their own unresolved negative karma, they hunger for that which they do not have, stealing from living spirits to try to escape from their Bardo or limbo existence into another reincarnation. They enter through the dark holes into your Spirit Body to the core of your soul to find light. These holes are a result of your own negative belief patterns. These holes must be sealed. You see life on earth affords a human Soul the opportunity to learn through the material plane, which is much more complex than the Spiritual. A physical problem has now manifested resulting from your souls disconnection to the light of your Spirit Body and God through the parasitical Spirits who block you from your soul both in your physical body and within your Spirit Body. There are 5 core issues revealed in my visions to be addressed, 1. Your souls separation from your Spirit Body, 2. Your Spirit Bodys separation from God, 3. Your Spirit Bodys separation from your mind, 4. Your egos attachment to past belief systems, and 5. Your minds separation from you physical body. You have brain amoebas (encephalitis), which in essence are a physical manifestation of these dark forces, which crystallized from your minds reaction to perpetrations and neglect of your family into your Spirit Body. This disease is
18

sourced within your clear soul blueprint that the guides are showing me. If this illness continues, you will die. You have much healing ahead of you and this will take a great length of time. The hunchback dwarf psychic opened his eyes and turned to speak to the elderly Doctor/Medium Don Fernando, I have stated my visions. What do you prescribe for this brother of light? Don Fernando firmly said, This man must be spiritually cleansed three times with herbal bath ceremonies limpias espirituales. He must immediately begin a course of medical treatment for the brain amoebas. As the elderly man spoke, the psychic Don Luis wrote both the Spiritual and medical prescription down for me, while referencing some of the manila folders on the desk near him. He smiled and handed me the written prescriptions and said, The Spiritual prescription is for Dona Marta and the medical one is for the clinic in the village. The diagnosis was finished. The elderly Doctor/Medium opened his brilliant blue eyes as though he had awakened from a deep sleep. Both men stood up and asked that I return on Friday to begin the Spiritual treatments. They said that I should go to the clinic in the village for analysis and start the medical treatments immediately. I thanked these amazingly gifted men, walked back to say goodbye to Dona Marta, and hitchhiked back to Zihuatanejo in the heat of the mid-day sun. I was speechless! I followed a course of the prescribed treatments from both Don Luis and Don Fernando for the next month. An analysis was made at the clinic in Zihuatanejeo, and the encephalitis was confirmed in those reports. I took a four-week treatment of intravenous medications for the encephalitis, which completely cleared it up. Every Tuesday and Friday I would arrive at 9:00 AM at El Limon dressed completely in the white cotton mantas of the local natives. The first three treatments were the spiritual healing sessions. I would enter the Healing Temple, where there would be six Indian women of all ages with Dona Marta

(total of 7), standing in a circle around a fire burning in the center of the room that vaulted up to an opening to the sky at the top of the thatched-palm roof. They were impeccably dressed in traditional embroidered floor-length white cotton gowns with their hair tied back off their faces with simple white cotton ribbons. Dona Marta was in charge of the limpias or spiritual cleansings. She directed me to stand near the fire within the circle of six other women, to turn my attention to my Spirit Body, and let the light of God come into both the Spirit Body and the physical body to heal myself. She said, We honor our spiritual ancestors from all four cardinal directions, the north who are the spiritual, the east who are the mental, the south who are the emotional, and the west who are the physical. You will move clockwise as we direct you through the circle. Each of the three healing sessions was essentially the same in structure. In the beginning of the ceremony, the direction I faced was north, and then the progression of cardinal directions would circulate to east, south, and west. Dona Marta stood in front of me with the other six women enclosing me within a circle. Dona Marta held a large glass bottle with a brownish-green herbal tincture filled with an assortment of fresh-mortared plants that were mixed with alcohol. There was a pile of more herbs that were separated into groups on the floor beside her. She looked up through the opening in the ceiling to the blazing sun and prayed with her arms outstretched and her palms-open facing up. She bent down and took complete plants that had roots, stems, leaves, and sometimes flowers in one hand and poured the herbal mixture over them. She continued to pray and began brushing the drenched plants from the top of my head to my feet, making distinct crosses at my feet, legs, pubic region, solar plexus, navel, heart, throat, brow, and the top of my head Occasionally, she would thrash the plants on those points in my body, as though she were hitting something inside of me that she was trying to dislodge. At the end of the ceremony, she took the
20

entire bunch of herbs and broke them in half, throwing them on the floor in front of me, and asked that I step on them to break the negative energy. My head began to spin when I completed all four of the cardinal directions within the circle. I felt dizzy, nauseous, and as though, large spaces in my body had been removed. My body felt raw and I was flushed with an intense heat that started in my lower back and moved up my spine to the top of my head I then felt a current of energy that moved, in a jerking-manner like a drill-bit, up the same path as the heat. My body went into convulsions that I felt I could no longer control. My solar plexus expanded and contracted. I wanted to vomit and began to have dry-heaves. The praying women on the perimeter of the circle contained me, and prevented me from falling into the fire in the center. I stood shaking like a snake on fire! I suddenly became my spirit in the form of a serene glowing golden figure with a purple aura some sixty feet above my physical body outside of the Healing Temple. My Spirit Body and I were one! My Spirit Body began to radiate waves of seven colored-bands of light and to expand down into my physical body through a golden cord. I saw nothing but white golden light. The faces of Dona Marta and the other women were blurred by the strong light, which was now emanating from inside of me and pulsating outwards. The six other women took large white cotton manta sheets and began to wrap my entire body, covering everything but my eyes and mouth. They then lifted me up and carried me, like a bandaged mummy, to a cot where they gently placed me. The women, continuing to pray, placed heaping mounds of fragrant white tropical flowers over my wrapped head and torso. Dona Marta came over to the side of the cot and said, Don Zacarias, you must rest for a few hours now. I looked up at her smiling face and fell into a deep sleep. I woke up feeling disoriented. The sheets were soaking wet with perspiration. I tried to free myself from the sheets. Dona Marta came over to me and said in a comforting manner, Don Zacarias, you have slept for 5 hours. The limpia has freed your Soul to be connected once again to
21

your Spirit and your body. We have performed a spiritual surgery on you. You must take great caution now to protect yourself, as you are in a most vulnerable state. It is important that you rest these next two days before the next cleansing. She directed the six other women to unwrap the damp sheets from me, which they peeled-off my now cool and wet body. I felt so incredibly light and sharply sensitive to both sound and sight. Like a child, I looked up to the women and could feel their thoughts. No verbal communication was necessary. My physical body felt strong and energized. Moving felt as light as flying. I slowly stood up and walked to the entrance where I had my bags with a change of clothing. I asked for a place that I could change clothing, and one of the women directed me to a hospital screen on the far side of the room. I went behind the screen, striped off the soaking wet white manta shirt and trousers and changed into identical attire. Dona Martas white-gowned figure glided across the room to me like a guardian angel, handing me a glass of water, and said, Don Zacarias, remember to be careful during the period after the limpia. This is when you are most vulnerable. You will have many unusual experiences now as your Mind, Spirit, and Body begin to reconnect. Eat a light diet and sleep as much as you can. We will protect you spiritually. Do not worry. We will see you hare again on Friday morning. Over the course of the three spiritual cleansings, I became physically grounded in the light of my Spirit Body. I took Don Fernandos prescription of intravenous medical treatments for the brain amoebas over a period of one month. The first month was by no means a pleasurable experience, nor was it an instantaneous cure. The spiritual work of healing takes a gradual and sometimes erratic path of correcting imbalances. There is no time- frame, nor is it a linear process. Normally, after a healing session, I always felt extraordinarily uplifted. I would then feel ghastly or sick on one level or
22

another. These bad times would then be followed by a sense of well-being, which eventually stabilized. Like a wound that was healing, a metaphorical scaring transpired. I took copious notes in my daily journal, and would detail and identify these experiences to Dona Marta, Don Fernando, and Don Luis. They would patiently explain to me exactly what was transpiring on the mental, spiritual and physical levels after a specific episode occurred. I was being taught the art of healing through my own healing process. I had gone through not only a very precise Mind/Spirit/Body healing, but I had also been prepared for a number of initiations that followed over the next three years. After a month had passed, Dona Marta and Don Fernando asked me to go with them up into the mountains above Zihuatanejo to the village of Potrerios, where I was to be ritually baptized and initiated as a Spiritualist. Don Fernando was born in the remote and extremely poor village that only consisted of ten houses with no electricity or running water. The village was positioned above a very wide and crystalclear river that cut through thousands of giant Grey-white granite boulders down to the ocean some thirty-five miles away. There were orange, mango, pineapple, and papaya orchards scattered through deep forests of coconut palms along the fertile riverbank. A profusion of yellow-headed green parrots and white butterflies filed the skies from dawn to dusk; and, the air was perfumed with the late spring ripeness of tropical flowers in bloom. My life had changed dramatically within these last thirty days; and, finally, I felt my purpose here on earth. We were greeted by Don Fernandos family members and spent the night. At dawn the next morning the entire village gathered along the banks of the river to participate in my baptism/initiation ceremony. Dona Marta, Don Fernando, and I were standing on a giant slab of granite rock that jutted-out over the river facing east. The others remained at a distance watching. Don Fernando stood facing the rising sun with his arms extended and prayed to God. He gave prayers of thanks to the Ancestral Spirits and Spirit
23

Guides, and then invoked The Spiritual Brotherhood of Light. Ancestral Spirits are believed to have a larger portion of divine favor and influence; and, they are invoked to assist an individual and intercede with God. Dona Marta began to make signs of the cross with river water on the top of my head, forehead, neck, shoulders, heart, hands, legs, and feet. She prayed as she performed a Spiritualist baptism. Don Fernando then came up to me and marked one cross on my brow and another on the base of the back of my neck with the river water. Suddenly, I felt as though my entire body was on fire and that I was engulfed in an enormous violet flame. In that moment, I perceived a timeless consciousness that was omnipotent. I had what is known as a conversion experience or a spontaneous Kundalini experience, where a human being becomes one with the Light of God that is the life force of all creation. Simultaneously, I saw Jesus as an Ascended Master extending his radiance into both my Spirit Body and my physical body. That one transcendent Kundalini experience became the experiential anchor for my Spiritual identification. I worked in El Limon, healing the poor and sick for three years. I was trained by Don Luis to channel my guides, psychically diagnose illnesses, and Dona Marta instructed me in the Mexican traditional herbal/nutritional recipes for specific cures that I later prescribed. Eventually, I established a small clothing factory for my designs in the village of Portrerios after the Governor of Guerrero took electricity to them. My Spirit Body had not only guided me to my lifes mission, but had provided artistic and economic channels for me to sustain myself. I made lifetime friends with the German resident Kristine von Jurtczenka- Morast, who witnessed the challenges and joys of my work in El Limon and Potrerios. Other locals, such as Tania Scales, Margo Chapman, Isabelle, Patsy Cumming, and Anita from Bungalows Pacificos supported my quest for knowledge and experience in my adopted home. Lauren Hutton, who came and went, guided me to promote the
24

clothing designs. My Mexican friends Kuxi von Wuthenau, Chela Braniff, Iris Truett, and Jeanette de Longoria opened doors for the clothing collections to be sold in Mexico City, Acapulco, New York, and Los Angeles. No foreigner had entered and been trained by the Espirtualistas, and I was quite alone in my quest with little understanding from my European or American friends, yet Kristine stood by me with great support and compassion. Most of the locals I encountered did not understand my work in El Limon, and found the Spiritualists peculiar, sometimes calling them brujos or witches from their Catholic perspective. Lau Many of the people who came to the clinic at El Limon were elderly, deformed, infirmed, or ailing with some chronic or rare disease that had been declared incurable by medical doctors. The Nahuallis. in most cases, treatments were able to eradicate pathological disorders that ranged from rheumatoid arthritis to blindness, paralysis, cancer, tumors, and epilepsy. The investigative diagnostics for a cure that I was trained to perform on patients were sometimes horrifying experiences for me as a novice healer. There were in most cases a form of spiritual possession in which I would see and analyze the negative entity that had attached itself to an individuals shadow. During that period of internship, I was always in the presence of one of the Nahualli Shamans, who directed my visionary diagnostics and then took my findings to the other shamans for a complete analysis and prescription. I undertook arduous preparatory cleansings and initiations that introduced me first to my spirit and its soul that are attached to the physical body, and then to my Spirit Guides. The soul is the divine essence of our being that is immortal, and it resides within both the body and the spirit. The Body disintegrates in time, and the Spirit Body takes the soul beyond our physical reality into its home first within the solar dimension where Divine Intelligence directs it for evolution, which may involve purgatory, re-incarnation, or ascension.

25

The spirit is the divine intelligence that has a form of a luminous golden-white body, the ancients called the Light Body, which exists approximately 60 feet above the physical body. The spirit is connected to the physical body by a shining cord from the physical solar plexus through the feet of the spirit. The soul is at home within both the physical body and the Spirit Body for its lessons in life while on the earth plane. The Nahuallis defined human existence to me as being in two parts, the Tonal and the Nahual. The Tonal is the world structure made by the mind or mental filter based upon belief systems and can sometimes be used to define the world of form or the material plane that is established by each humans shadow known as the Tonalli or spiritfamiliar. The Tonalli determines the human ego and therefore defines the mind in relationship to form. The Nahual is the mysterious aspect of the human soul that is guided by the Nahual or primary spirit guide that is the form of an animal. There are five initiations that transform a human beings Tonal that give access to the Nahual. These five steps or accomplishments pertain to the five lower Chakras that represent the physical body of man. In essence, this is a 5-step process of mastering the distortions or illusion created through the mental and emotional filters of the mind human through raising awareness in order to gain access to the higher planes of spiritual consciousness. I was shown the shadow or spirit familiar of my Soul called a Tonalli (Nahuatl) or Kina (Maya), and my Nahual (Nahuatl) or Uay (Mayan), the animal counterpart to my soul in the Spirit Body or Kinan (Mayan), which is the primary Spiritual Guide and Protector. I was later prepared to receive my other Spiritual Guides, who worked through a spirit-filtering system established by my Ancestral Guides by my Tonalli and Nahualli to keep myself protected from disincarnate entities of a malevolent nature. I would ask my elder teachers to please explain the

26

dynamics of both my healing and psychic faculties. They answered that all I had to do was surrender to The Great White Light, to trust that Light, and that one-day I was to bring the wisdom of the Ancestors and the Star people to the world. They said I had to complete the mission of bringing that light through myself into experiences that opened the heart, which I would then use as teaching tools to raise consciousness. What did they mean? Where were the guidelines? What was I supposed to do with the awareness and sensitivity that had expanded my consciousness so rapidly through the work done with them? How could I control the intense Light that I constantly felt in my body? The visions and insight were overwhelming. I had not been informed of how to direct the energy flow for healing in any specific format. So, the only course to take would be to locate information from those cultures that had well established and documented formulas for Spiritual evolution based upon the Chakra system. I searched for answers through my mentor the late Bridget Bate Tichenor, who directed me to re-read the English translated ancient Sanskrit and Pali texts from her mother Vera Bate Lombardis book collection that she had given to me in earlier years as pertained to my Kundalini awakening experiences with the Nahualli Spiritualists. When it came to Mesoamerican spiritual history, Bridget would detail her knowledge; The Olmec civilization was established by African Black colonists from Egypt that were the founding fathers of Mesoamerican religion in the states of Veracruz and Guerrero, Mexico. Very little is known of the Olmec by archaeologists, but the Indians of Veracruz carry their knowledge forward. The Black race existed throughout the Americas long before Columbuss arrival. This is evident in the giant Olmec stone heads of Veracruz and in every other Mesoamerican cultures statuary and pottery. When one studies Mesoamerican religion it is apparent that it has

27

an Egyptian foundation from resurrection theology to exact pyramid construction formulae. The ancient Mayan culture evolved from the Olmec in the city of Chichenitza, which is thousands of years older than 19th and 20th Century archaeological dating. The great empire had extended its influence to every part of the world, exercising great cultural power over many nations. The name Maya and the vestiges of its language, art, religion cosmological, historical traditions from the ancient culture is discovered in many countries from America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. There were many wise men from these distant and remote parts of the world such as Egypt, Sumeria, and Atlantis, which came to Chichenitza to consult the H-menes and receive spiritual training with Mystery School Solar Religions initiations pertaining to the Kinan or Spirit Body. Additionally, she felt that the Star people from the Pleiades worked in tandem with these ancient colonists of the Americas and guided their Sciences. The name Maya always is attached to power and wisdom. She pointed out the numerous bearded Caucasian men that she felt represented the Assyrians (Afghans of today) were carved in stone formats of the Mayan Nation that extended from Veracruz, Yucatan Peninsula, Oaxaca, and beyond Guatemala as far south as El Salvador/ Bridget exposed to me the similarities in the Sanskrit words Kundalini and Chakra in relationship to the Yucatan Peninsular Mayan dialect words Kultanlilni and Chacla, which have the same definition. She said the Mayan names for the five lower charkas were 1. Root Botzo Earth, 2. Spleen Chuital Water, 3. Solar Plexus Wualanal Air, 4.Heart Tun Fire, and 5.Throat Kilwatalabal - Either Bridget related the initiations of Buddha and Kukulcan, Buddha Sakyamuni was bitten by a seven-headed cobra

28

serpent, Sakyamunis experience was parallel to the Mayan story of Kukulcans initiation during his first incarnation with the seven-headed rattlesnake serpent named Chapat in the Yucatan. Buddha and Kukulcans initiations symbolized the Kundalini awakening through the seven Chakras. The Mayan Kukulcan and Nahua Quetzalcoatl mythology represented the Mesoamerican belief that humans are the integration of the seven forces of Solar Light within the Chakra system that spiral as a rattlesnake serpent infinitely towards a solar, galactic, and universal connection with God. Bridget discussed the founding deities of Mesoamerica, Quetzalcoatl for the Nahuas, Kukulcan for the Mayas, and Gucumatz for the Quiche Mayas is the pre-emanate founding deity of Mesoamerican creation mythology, which evolved after the Olmec civilization and approximately 10,000 years ago at the time of Atlantiss destruction. Atlantis originally was ruled by a Black race that held the sacred knowledge of Orishas, which Osiris brought to Egypt in a pantheon of gods. Quetzalcoatl, Kukulcan, or Gucumatz mysteriously appeared in Mesoamerica in several legends. The primary Eurocentric legend was that he was as a tall, white skinned Caucasian, blonde, blue-eyed, and bearded priest and another indigenous legend as a black man from an Atlantic mother culture continent in the East that had been destroyed by volcanic eruptions called Tlapallan, Tollan, Atzlan, and Alua. Mesoamerican mythology states that he founded the Mesoamerican religions, taught them the arts of divination and civilization, and disappeared and reappeared in five world successions through incarnations of him. The name Quetzalcoatl originates from the Nahuatl words; Quetzal, a rare exotic bird of iridescent green color, and coatl, serpent, which means plumed serpent Kukulcan with the Mayas was represented as a serpent with two heads that symbolized Venus both as the morning and evening star, denoting Kukulkans faculties as a mediator between night and day, good and evil, and as force facilitating

29

transcendence of opposites or dualities within human nature. Bridget described Kundalini, The goal of the fiery Kundalini as it makes its serpentine journey up the five lower Chakras, is to unit human polarities in the sixth center of the Brow Chakra of man. Quetzalcoatls original teachings were that of a wise and good ruler who taught the Ancient Wisdom School principles of Chakra Science through the principles of a microcosmic and macrocosmic universal view of Kundalini in death and resurrection, sin and redemption, and the transfiguration of a human into a God. Bridget explained Quetzalcoatls arrival in the Americas, Quetzalcoatl arrived from Atlantis with a group of colonists called Quetzales, who brought the advanced sciences and arts to the Americas. She said, The Aztecs theology and the few remaining records distorted the representation of the original Nahua/Toltec, Maya, and Quiche mythology of Quetzalcoatl in their declining civilizations before the Spanish Conquest, and lost the historical data of Quetzalcoatls immigration to the Americas when later translated. So, the Quetzalcoatl mythology evolved into one of the creation myths by the Quiche Maya that are reflected in the Popul Vuh of the serpent-bird like dragons that were covered with green and blue feathers that were the gods of both the sea and the sky. Both Quetzalcoatl the man and the myth were based in facts now lost through both the Mesoamerican civilizations decline before the advent of Spanish colonization and through the colonizations destruction of records. Bridget continued, There were many Quetzalcoatl representations throughout Mesoamerica, but the one specifically that relates to Ancient Chakra Science and the Kundalini principle of the regeneration and resurrection of life force is called the Cobra de Capella, and Ac-la-Chapa,

30

which was the seven-headed Mayan Naga that is identical to that of Asia. The seven heads represent the Seven Planes of Consciousness, the Seven Chakras, the Seven Rays, and essentially that which encompasses the Kundalini principle of all living forms. The Seven Headed Naga is carved in numerous Mayan, Toltec, Mixtec, Olmec, and Aztec sites, but it is prolific in Chichenitza where Mayan Kundalini Science flourished most recently during the Toltec reign of power. One night at Bridget Tichenors ranch Contembo in Ario de Rosales, Michoacan, Mexico in January 1971, Bridget related to me a story her mother Vera Arkwright Bate Lombardi had told her. Vera had a friend in Paris that she had met through the Rockefeller family, who was a French Archaeologist that traveled to the Mexican state of Veracruz in 1920. The archaeologist had been contracted by Standard Oil Company to work as a liaison with the Mexican government to investigate the Olmec sites that covered rich oil deposits before any oil drilling could begin. During this trip, a local Indian guide had informed the archaeologist of the existence of the venomous Quetzalcoatl feathered flying serpent that was thought to be myth or extinct, but was said by the local Indians to be very much a living creature. Bridget said that Vera's friend had been diverted from his work with the oil drilling. He was taken on horseback, and then in canoes up the mouth of a river that opened into the Gulf of Mexico into the low mountains in search of place called Tulan-Zuiva or the Seven Sacred Caves. Mayan legend spoke of Tulan Zuiva as being the first Atlantean depositories of ancient records in the Americas by Quetzalcoatl. The fabled Tulan-Zuiva was to have been the first cave-temple of Quetzalcoatl and his priesthood, which scholars have positioned to be either in Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan, or Guatemala. The expedition failed to discover the sacred caves, but it was on this trip that Bridget revealed the story of Vera's

31

archaeologist friend seeing the Quetzalcoatl creature flying very low above their canoe on the river in the dawn hours. Bridget said Veras friend's description was that they saw a bird-like creature with a strange combination of a head the shape of Camarand bird that was spread out flat like a viper serpent. The neck was almost two feet long covered in dense, short, brilliant, white, and tufted green-blue iridescent plume-like longer feathers. The swan-shaped body had long broad wings with hand-like claws on the tips. Bridget said that Vera's friend described the animals neck retracting into a bizarre almost human curvature when it landed on a low tree at the rivers edge. It looked like a bird with a large snake shaped head that resembled both Egyptian and Chinese snake-headed deities and appeared more dragon-like than anything she could describe. Bridget had said that Veras archaeologist friend had discussed the story shortly after the sighting of the Quetzalcoatl animal to the British author Colonel James Churchward in New York, who later wrote in generalities about the expedition and the Quetzalcoatl animal in his Sacred Symbols of Mu. It was divine order that I had received my early spiritual training with Espiritualistas in Guerrero near the heart of an ancient colony of Mu that Churchward had referenced with the Naacal tablets discovered by William Niven in Rio de Oro, Placeres del Oro, Guerrero, Mexico. My great teacher and friend Mexican artist Pedro Friedeberg guided me simultaneously with Bridget through a labyrinth of esoterica that included the world of a profoundly learned Mystery School student, Edward James. Another Quetzalcoatl sighting was described to me in the 1970s by Bridgets cousin Edward James that took place circa 1949 near his home Las Pozas close to the village of Xilitla in the jungled mountains of the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi five hours

32

west of Tampico near the Gulf of Mexico. When I was 16 at school at the University of the Americas in Mexico City, my professor Mesoamerican Anthropologist Alexander Von Wuthenau had many similar stories that supposedly had occurred over many areas of tropical Mexico and Central America in which people were bitten and died instantly. Alexander had meet Veras archaeologist friend in Germany at a museum in Berlin after the incident had occurred and later confirmed the story with Bridget in Mexico. The elusive Quetzalcoatl is seen on extremely rare occasions in the tropical zones of Mexico all the way to Bolivia, but thought to be extinct by natives and a myth by scientists. These great experiences throughout my field studies and apprenticeships in Mesoamerican Sacred Science were fulfilled quests that came form gifted teachers, who introduced me to a rarefied world of spiritual knowledge. Every bit of knowledge that I gained involved a shedding process that clearly identified my souls purpose. The process was painful to my ego and involved great change to my life that brought transformation with every step towards enlightenment. THE CREATION OF THE RELAXATIA CODEXTM Later, I established THE RELAXATIA CODEXTM in art and literature from 1979 - 1984 to gain an exacting knowledge of the Solar Kundalini and psycho-spiritual phenomena I had experienced in Mexico, as I could not find a complete visual and literary Chakra color-coding documentation in existence to compare my revelations. I found it necessary to paint and write this lost wisdom for future generations. THE RELAXATIA CODEXTM has been the foundation for my paintings, books, animated film, web properties, and inventions. My Regla de Ocha and IFA initiations occurred much later over 8 years in the Caribbean and US.

33

KUNDALINI 'Kundalini' is derived from the Sanskrit verb 'kund', which means 'to burn', the verb 'kunda', which means a bowl or a hole, and the noun 'kundala', which means a coil, a spiral, or a ring. Out of all of these derivatives, the word 'Kundalini' is developed giving creative femininity to 'the Fire', the latent supreme source of a vast thermal energy not only in human beings, but also in every atom of the universe. It is the life force of both the corporal and spirit forms. The mythological origins of the Kundalini or the Serpent Fire, that literally means the 'life force' of Chakra Science, can be found in the creation myths of East Indian, Mayan, Egyptian, and Yoruba history. The creation myth in the first century BC East Indian "Manava-dharma-sastra" states, "The visible universe in the beginning was nothing but darkness. The great, self-existing Power dispelled the darkness, and appeared in His entire splendor. He first produced the waters; and on them moved Narayana, the divine spirit." The Hindu God Narayana is the Naga Serpent Dragon who embodies this divine essence known as Kundalini. The Yoruba Orisha Oshumare is the Rainbow Serpent, who connects heaven and earth. The Mayan God Kukulcan and Aztec God Quetzalcoatl are both representational of Kundalini. SOLAR KUNDALINI HISTORY Ancient Egypt and Sind, India were colonies of NubiaEthiopia that founded the pre-historic Ancient Mystery Schools in antiquity that later developed into the Pharoanic Egyptian and Vedic religions, which gave birth to Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam. RELAXATIA is Solar Kundalini, a Spirit or Light Body ascension paradigm of the Chakra system, correlated to the Sun that originated in Nubian-Ethiopian antiquity, which pre-dates the

34

Vedic/Tantric Hindu and Buddhist Kundalini philosophies existing in India and Tibet that do not incorporate solar applications for Kundalini activation. The Solar Kundalini born in Africa spread throughout the prehistoric world to create the great solar religions of Egypt, Babylonia, Peru, Mexico, Europe, Scandinavia, Polynesia, and Australia. The constitution of the human spirit, the vital lifeforce along the human spinal cord (Sekhem in Egypt and Kundalini in India), the psychic vortexes on the spinal cord (The Seven Uraeuses in Egypt and the Seven Chakras in India), the immortality of the soul, reincarnation and the law of Cause and Effect were founded in the Nubia-Ethiopia cradle of civilization. The RELAXATIA Solar Light Body Formula is supported by a number of Ancient Kundalini/Chakra Sciences that were documented in Hindu Tantric scriptures that were derived from the opposing Aryan/Indian Vedic Brahmin schools of Northern India. The edited Brahmin Vedic Kundalini philosophy was founded upon an original and complete Kundalini model brought to the Dravidians (Nagas and Tamils) in Sind, India from Abyssinia, Africa over 8,000 years ago, predating the Aryan invasions of India. The Aryans (Sumerians) conquered these tribes and assimilated their Kundalini knowledge. The 3,500-year-old Vedic Kundalini/Chakra oral lexicon, established later in the 'Upanishads' literal texts of the Vedas in the 9th century BC, and then edited and coded visually in yantra formulae by Tantric Schools in the 'Tantra Shastra,' has now dwindled for the most part into a mainstream babble of partial, diluted, or unrelated folkloric 'New Age' or 'Self Help' Kundalini philosophies for mass consumerism. The Kundalini and Chakra Science that has survived in text and visual formulae are small fragments of the original Egyptian Solar Kundalini lexicon that only exists today in Hindu Tantric and Buddhist documentation. Solar activation

35

of the Kundalini occurs through the Chakras or 'Cakras' in the Physical and Spirit Bodies from an application of the light spectrum generated by the Sun. Osiris, Moses, Jesus, Buddha, Kukulkan, Quetzalcoatl, Odudua, and many great world avatars, teachers, and prophets were taught this sacred knowledge. WHAT DIFFERENTIATES THE RELAXATIA CODEX My deepest concern in the documentation of my discovery of a lost Kundalini lexicon was to provide a culturally absent blueprint with a set of tools for the student of Chakra Science to ground the Soul of the Spirit or Light Body known at the ORI in the IFA of the Yoruba into the mind and Physical Body to become conscious here on Earth. Most existing Kundalini and Chakra philosophies approach the subject from a diversified Hindu approach, which is based upon extrapolations from hundreds of sometimes opposing East Indian schools of Kundalini theory. This fact is reflective from the evolutionary divisions within Hinduism. A large amount of what exists in the commercial and publicly accessible academic worlds in visual formats are not applied with specific color standards based upon ancient Vedic design and color-coding, so the student is left in perpetual confusion as to what the Chakras really look like and what makes up their true color composition. As an example, the Chakra color-coding of a good number of contemporary Chakra theories are completely wrong, as these systems place the color ray that activates the Chakra as the color composition of the Chakra itself. This is a fallacy in many Chakra theories that gets lost in the translation or abbreviation from the original tenets of the Vedic and Tantric Hindu formats and is misguiding to the student. Herein, is one of the Chakra coding differentiations that are crystal clear in my discoveries revealed in THE RELAXATIA CODEXTM.

36

THE RELAXATIA CODEXTM Chakra and Ray visual/literary codex with its secret keys to unlock and direct the application of the light spectrum of the Sun to activate the Chakra's and Kundalini within both the Physical and Spiritual bodies is non-existent in published theories. THE RELAXATIA CODEXSTM approach provides a guideline for the student to establish individuated identities, versus generalized and sometimes detached Nirvana ideals of naturally dualistic human identities, which are taught by many teachers in both the Hindu Orthodox and Buddhist Heterodox Kundalini philosophies. THE RELAXATIA CODEXSTM formulas can be aligned through the time worn truths of light, color, sound, and form to awaken the human Spirit for its individuated divine purpose and fulfillment. The identification of each individual's raison d'etre is something that can only be based upon the personal human experience itself. Through my spiritual guidance, I create radiant icons in painting and film that are consecrated talismans executed in a meditative state that liberates the viewer from the rational reactions of comprehension, evaluation, and appreciation. The effect is a state of rapture between the body, mind, soul, and the divine. This epiphany encourages spiritual, mental, and physical health, clearing the way to further growth and enlightenment. These talismans project the authentic capacity to sit still in contemplation of beauty and focus, and are not for superficial decoration or collection. When ones mind and body relax, an individual has no choice but to become healthy. My magical talismans represent the archetypes within the nature of the universe that are reflective in humankind and are prepared for definitive balancing purposes. The icon empowers the viewer with a specific focus of the imbedded

37

universal forces represented by the well-calculated design, colors, and symbols in the painting or film to establish the desired harmonics to be attracted in Spirit, Mind, and Body. SPIRITISM Spiritism is the practice of invoking the Dead specifically for diagnostic and prescriptive purposes that are beneficial, along with the prioritization of spiritual evolution being paramount. Spiritualism is the demonstration of 'spirit phenomena' by a medium to exhibit psychic abilities. The French educator, author, and scientist Allan Kardec developed Spiritism in Paris, France in 1857. Kardec was deeply influenced by the early 19th century Napoleonic expeditions to Egypt and the subsequent Prussian Egyptologist Karl Richard Lepsiu's translation of the Egyptian "Book of the Dead" in 1842. There are specific guidelines in Spritism that follow the same ancient Egyptian Mystery School teachings from "The Book of the Dead", which can produce unparallel qualities in communications between the world of spirits and the material world. Spiritism spread throughout Europe, England, the United States, and influenced greatly Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Today, the majority of Brazilians, Cubans, and Puerto Ricans believe or practice some form of Spiritism. Spiritism maintains that each human being is assigned a group of enlightened spirits known as 'spirit guides' that act as guardians. Some spirits may be known, such as deceased family members or friends, but many are previously unknown. There are spiritual levels that reflect degrees of spiritual evolution and each spirit like each living person is uniquely positioned with a distinct mission and soulprogression. The highly evolved spirits can descend into lower planes, but the lower spirit entities cannot ascend into the higher spheres. The guardian spirits or 'protectors'

38

require communication and offerings, as in the age-old practices of Ancestor Worship, to acquire help with both human and spiritual problems. ANCESTOR WORSHIP The goal of Ancestor Worship is to ensure the ancestors' and other spirits continued well being and positive disposition towards the living and to ask for special favors or assistance. For 97 percent of the world's population, ritual offerings and prayers to deceased blood relatives and other spirits are an integral part of everyday life. Most people in the Western world were raised with Jewish and Christian traditions, which prescribe Ancestor Worship and are skeptical of it. Whereas, the majority of the world with people of Eastern cultures such as Indians, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, and Tibetans, along with segments of the populations of South America, Africa, Cuba/Caribbean, Mexico, Indigenous US, Indonesia, Bali, Mongolia, Polynesia, Iceland, Eastern Baltics, and New Guinea seek guidance through their offerings of respect to their ancestors. The dynamics and resulting energy in communication with the world of Dead enables the knowledge that life is a continuum and the sensory experience of the non-linear side of reality. What is known as the Akashic records, all knowledge that has existed in the Universe, is accessed through the world of the Dead that exists in the etheric sphere of Akasha. This spiritual realm of Akasha is the fourth dimension above and adjacent to the physical third dimension. This close proximity of the spirits to humankind enables clear communication with quick and powerful manifestations. The practice of Ancestor Worship is quite simple. An honorary ritual of communication with the Dead is composed of two basic ingredients: respect and love.

REGLA DE OCHA AND IFA HISTORY In 1996 I was drawn to the Bermuda Triangle vortex of Miami Beach, Florida, where I purchased a home directly on the Atlantic in the heart of South Beach. For the spiritual isolationist or purest, one would find this locale to be the antithesis of a spiritual vortex. The reality of the Miami Beach sand bar along the Florida Straits is quite the opposite of its surface appearance. It is a vortex of extreme polarities, and reflects the matrix of the individual who enters it. It is a part of what once was Atlantis. Good or bad character is amplified throughout the vortex. I witnessed many people die there and many who were reborn. For many years I had yearned to gain a deeper understanding universal law through animism, and received the core levels of awareness I searched for on Miami Beach through the ocean Orisha Yemaya. Through my Kundalini and Spiritism practices a whole new sensory-spiritual chapter in my life opened up with the Orishas through the Yoruba culture. I embarked on an initiation process of becoming a Yoruba Orisha Priest of Obatala with Cuban Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha Priests and IFA Babalows over a 12-year period. The process I went through was much the same as my involvement with Chakra Science, which dealt with removing the Diaspora nonsense and manipulation that had occurred with IFA through some of the Santero Priests and Babalows corruption with Catholic overlays, indigenous and eurocentric superstitions, along with the sad loss of original sacred knowledge, practice, ritual, and initiation in Nigeria. I treaded through the secrets, attached to fear, abuse, and discrimination elements that had developed with many

Nigerian, Afro-Cuban, and IFA priests to eventually find truth. In the end, the Orishas guided me through the firm establishment of my ORI. I received over 30 Orisha initiations in IFA and as an Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha Priest of Obatala in a period of 12 years that few Westerners ever receive or even know about. The Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha theology was founded upon the ancient 8,000-year-old monotheistic African Yoruba religion of IFA, and has been the New World repository of the West African Yoruba Royal Priesthoods secrets and mysteries that was brought to Cuba from Nigeria beginning in 1515 AD for the Spanish colonial slave market. IFA and Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha are a non-linear philosophies of enlightenment that are aligned with practical linear applications set in motion with ethical standards, which prioritize the development of good character to fulfill human destiny. A Western linear mindset of short-term fixes does not fit into an IFA archetypal paradigm of long range thinking with individuated life-balance in place to manifest health, prosperity, and relationships with a co-generating purposeful integration into society and the world at large. Soul destiny is ascertained by a Babalow through the benefit of exacting divination methodologies and prescriptive for the ORI (spirit body that rules the human mind, body, and soul), which involves ritual and sacrifice in order to create order, strength, balance, harmony, and inner peace in human relationship to the universe. When a person experiences imbalance, he or she consults one of the oracles through a Regla de Ocha Priest or Babalow to find out the cause of the imbalance, and an appropriate remedy. This involves some sort of offering or sacrifice to the Ancestral Spriits or Orishas with rudimentary advice to regain the lost balance. There are three oracles derived from IFA.

41

The first oracle of IFA is the OPELE chain with 8 two-sided concave medallions, which represent 256 octagrams of the 256 Oddus, or sacred stories that a Babalawo reads with a throw on the OPON IFA divination tray. The Babalawo obtains a configuration that indicates which Oddu of the oracle of IFA is to be given to the inquirer. This is 100 % accurate. The second oracle used by Regla de Ocha or Orisha Priests is the caracoles or Mediloggun Oracle with 16 letras (Oddus) used by the Regla de Ocha Priest/Priestess, who have been initiated with Dillogun. This is very accurate, yet cannot be compared to the OPELE preformed by a Babalow. There are VERY few accurate Italeros known as Caracaleros or shell readers. The third method used by Orisha Priests is the Cocunut OBI with 5 possible answers. Anyone either initiated or not may cast the OBI, and is very accurate. The true IFA and Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha philosophy of enlightenment is aligned with ethical standards and the development of good character to fulfill human destiny. Destiny is ascertained through the benefit of exacting divination methodologies and prescriptive that involves ritual and sacrifice in order to create strength, balance, harmony, and inner peace. IFA and Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha are initiatory cultures and their core evolutionary process are never written or revealed; such experiential wisdom is only gained through the spiritual evolvement and awakening that occurs via strategic stages of initiations. Such stages of awareness are first received, second felt, and third realized before external manifestations occur. There is no such thing as simply believing or thinking in something as a short term fix to manifest an optimum result without a solid rational foundation. The power of such

positive thinking theory is only effective when the individual is clear of distortions, in integrity, and truly balanced within the context of truth relating to the potentials of the individual. Anything else is mental brainwash or wishful thinking, as there are no shortcuts or secrets in spiritual evolution for long-term fulfillment. Such practices are essential to establishing a positive attitude or behavior, but are in no way a means to reaching a complete and sustainable objective that is long term. There are rudimentary steps that must be achieved first to support such beliefs for actualization to occur from a solid and balanced template of spirit, mind, and body. The IFA and Regla de Ocha initiates are prohibited from converting others and honor all faiths; as to do so otherwise is considered taboo and disrespectful. The study of the IFA and Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha involves the use of the universal energies in the 'law of attraction' through specific rituals and procedures that involve defined steps to identify a problem or good fortune within the context of IFA divination. Unlike Tarot, I Ching (derived from IFA), Astrology, and other divining formats, IFA and Dillogun divination informs what is to happen if nothing is done to change a circumstance. Not only is the future foretold, but also an opportunity to change it is prescribed with an exact application in a precise manner that targets an optimum result. IFA and Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha are a 'feeling' relationship with a myriad of archetypes or forces within nature that extend from one supreme God known as Orishas that is nonlinear, versus a 'thinking' relationship that is linear. Carl Jung was one of the first Europeans to develop a parallel psychological theory to that of the ancient Yoruba with his definition of universal archetypes and applications to the ego with the its integration to the psyche in union, which results in true human individuation.

In general, it is only through the sensory experience of the feeling and expression of positive energy disbursement arrived at through a connection with a specific archetype or Orisha that one can reach equilibrium with negative feelings or situations When a human balance physical or material is achieved in a hopeless case it is called a miracle in the Western world. In IFA and Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha it is through the use of common sense with the application of specific universal laws that create stability, which allows life force to flow unobstructed. The influx of Yoruba slaves, who carried the principles of IFA in their entrapped lives, continued to be transported to the New World by the British slave trade until the end of the late 19th century. The majority of the Yoruba Ochossi sect was transferred to Cuba from 1820 1849, removing the great repositories of Ifa secrets from Nigeria. While Brazil received vast numbers of Yoruba Priests as slaves, the Royal Yoruba High Priests were sent to Cuba during the Ochossi sect market transference. The Caribbean and Brazilian Yoruba slaves were forced to hide their Ancient Mystery School religion behind a mask of Catholicism with Christian Saints synchronized to a pantheon of deities under one supreme God. Most African slaves that arrived in the United States were spiritually raped of their animistic religions altogether by the intolerant ruling Protestant Church and government that had no saints to assimilate to or camouflage beliefs, forcing massive Christian conversions. Louisiana was one exception in the US, due to French and Spanish colonialism with its Catholicism and racial integration. Many of the Louisiana slaves were Dahomey and Fon, and not Yoruba. The Yoruba religion has its origins in prehistoric NubiaEthiopia over 18,000 years ago, followed by an early Osiris religious settlement in Abydos, Egypt 8,000 years ago. All of

44

humanity originated in Africa and migrated to other parts of the world over 40,000 years ago from the Twa people. The dynastic culture of Nubia later became Kush in the 4th millennium BC, the land of the Black Pharaohs that ruled Egypt between 1,700 BC and 1,500 BC. The Kushites began to migrate their Egyptian culture around 1,000 BC, as a result of religious and civil wars between Upper and Lower Egypt, to colonize and mix with other migratory Saharan tribes in Ife, Nigeria in order to guard and save the sacred esoteric knowledge of Egypt. The Greco-Roman invasions, followed by the Byzantine Coptic Christian Churchs dominance, and then later the Islamic religious wars forced the extinction of Pharoanic Religion in Egypt. By the 11th century AD, these waves of Egyptian and Saharan migrants had assimilated to establish the Royal Yoruba patrilineal descent groups in Nigeria. The Yoruba were modeled upon the ancient Egyptian Osiris religion and government, preserving IFA and Afro-Cuban Regla de Ocha as the worlds oldest religion that continues to have the same exacting applications today as it did 8,000 years ago.
