This Alcatel-Lucent ISAM NELT-A 16-port Active Ethernet line card is used to deliver Very High Speed Broadband
services from the Alcatel-Lucent ISAM family of DSL access platforms. Offering 16 Small Form-factor Pluggable
(SFP) optical Fast Ethernet interfaces, the card delivers Fast Ethernet services over point-to-point (P2P) fiber
with data rates up to 100 Mb/s over 10 km. The line card is optimized for mixed residential DSL/P2P fiber
deployments, and offers full feature parity with the ISAM VDSL2 line card, enabling transparent service
delivery over mixed copper/fiber access networks. The Active Ethernet line card supports the same Layer 2/
Layer 3 forwarding models, subscriber management, security and multicast features and management system
as DSL line cards.

Features Benefits

• IEEE 802.3 Fast Ethernet LT, 16 ports • Enables transparent mixed DSL/P2P
• 16 interfaces, Small Form-factor fiber deployments, supporting the
Pluggable (SFP) same services
• Full feature parity with ISAM DSL • Provides data rates up to 100 Mb/s
line cards over 10 km, with single-mode fiber
• On-board network processor • Assures service quality with ISAM’s
• L2/L3 forwarding non-blocking distributed processing
architecture
• Industrial hardening
• Offers the flexibility of indoor/
outdoor deployments
