We will develop, build and implement a fully functional corporate website that
provides an online resource for THE CLIENT.
This preliminary proposal does not include estimates for items outlined in the ‘Next
Steps’ section of this proposal. Although they are all integral to the overall scope of
what DESIGNER understands its mission to be, items in ‘Next Steps’ require either
further information or are later steps that we foresee in the near future.
B. Target Audience

1. Create a navigation system that clearly reflects all the available content and is
easily accessible with the minimum number of click-throughs.

explore the website and invite them return frequently.

I. Content
Content refers to all of the pertinent information that is readily available to Internet
users at the website. THE CLIENT will provide all content in various web and print-
ready formats and will own the rights to all material supplied on the website.
Additional images may be necessary to complete the ‘look and feel’ of certain
sections of the site. THE CLIENT will provide these images. If required, DESIGNER
will search Internet resources and photo archives for images that match the need and
present them to the client for review and payment to the appropriate image provider
upon approval. The cost of use of each image on the Web ranges from $25 and up.
J. Web Hosting
TBD . Hosting can be provided by DESIGNER and is addressed in the ‘Website
Pricing’ section.
K. Web Statistics
Statistic tracking is provided by Urchin and is included with all web hosting options
provided by DESIGNER.

L. Flowchart Overview
The preliminary flowchart included in this proposal defines navigational elements and
scope of work for the project. Each element in the flowchart represents either a page
in the site or a description of the section.

B. Creative Brief Produced
Proposal
The ‘creative brief’ is a structured summary of the design issues addressed
during the client survey. This will be distributed to all team members. Technical
needs, logistical procedures and back-end integration will be reviewed at this
stage.
D. Milestones/Schedule Finalized
Milestones will be mutually scheduled to insure timely submission of deliverables
for each phase by DESIGNER. Deadlines will also be set for THE CLIENT to
deliver content, branded collateral and marketing materials. Technical needs,
logistical procedures and back-end integration will also be reviewed at this stage.
E. Content/Assets Overview
At this stage, we begin reviewing, finalizing and setting dates to deliver the
content necessary to begin art production. Textual content, logos and images
required will be provided digitally to Jessica in any of the following PC file formats:

B. Concept Designs
Based on thorough understanding of the project goals and the target audience, Website
DESIGNER will develop three (3) design concepts. They will serve as

inspiration for subsequent identity and web site design directions. The visual
components addressed will include identity, mood, color palette, graphic design, Proposal
typographical treatments and navigation.

A. Keyword Generation
If applicable, page titles, page descriptions and one set of keywords are
generated at this time. This process helps Internet search engines and directories THE
(i.e. Yahoo!, MSN, Google, etc.) index the site.

DESIGNER will test the prototype under different browsers including the latest Website
versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox on a PC platform. Any errors with browser

Website Pricing

The main website design includes the creation of design concepts, final design
presentation, HTML coding/templates, primary and secondary page designs.

In addition to secure hosting, this monthly charge accounts for two (2) hours of
client and technical support, addition/deletion of photos, textual changes and minor

maintenance shall be one year from the date contract is signed. Additional hours (if Design
needed) will be billed at a rate of $50.00/hour.

Changes
Changes to the agreed upon project specifications can result in a revision to
costs and timeline of the project and will constitute a signed change order.
Estimates assume the use of existing materials and media. Creation of any video or

Next Steps
The proposal outlined previously does not allow for any of the following items. How-
ever, based upon our understanding of the scope of the requirements, we have out-
lined the following as potential opportunities to ensure the highest level of success,
value and ROI on the internet presence outlined in this proposal.

3. Expenses
THE CLIENT shall reimburse DESIGNER for all expenses arising from this assignment, including the pay-

ment of any sales taxes due on this assignment.

4. Internet Access
Access to Internet will be provided by a separate Internet Service Provider (ISP) to be contracted by THE Proposal
CLIENT and who will not be party to this agreement.
5. Progress Reports
DESIGNER shall contact or meet with THE CLIENT on a mutually acceptable schedule to report all tasks
completed, problems encountered, and recommended changes relating to the development and testing of
the website. DESIGNER shall inform THE CLIENT promptly by telephone or e-mail upon discovery of any
event or problem that may delay the development of the work significantly.
6. Changes/Revisions
DESIGNER shall deliver to THE CLIENT the web program and other materials developed by DESIGNER in
accordance with the terms specified in this Sales Order. THE CLIENT shall be provided two (2) opportuni-
ties to alter the proposed web design after the delivery of the concept designs to THE CLIENT for review;
two (2) opportunities to alter the proposed web program after all user requirements and functional require-
ment have been completed.
8. Warranty Period
DESIGNER agrees to provide THE CLIENT with reasonable technical support and assistance to maintain
and update the web site on the Internet during the warranty period of fifteen (15) days after publishing
the website to its final domain name at no cost to THE CLIENT. Such assistance shall not exceed a total
of ten (5) hours. The warranty period shall not include the development of enhancements to the originally
contracted project.
9. Website Maintenance
After the expiration of the Warranty Period THE CLIENT may opt to enter into a new agreement for website
maintenance wherein DESIGNER agrees to provide a reasonable technical support and assistance to
maintain and update the website on the Internet for an agreed upon annual fee after the last day of the
Warranty Period payable thirty (30) days prior to the commencement date of each year of the Maintenance
Period. Such maintenance shall include correcting any errors or any failure of the website to conform to the
specifications. Maintenance shall not include the development of enhancements to the originally contracted
project.
10. Enhancements
Under the maintenance agreement, if THE CLIENT wishes to modify the website, DESIGNER shall be given
first option to provide a bid to perform such enhancements.

of developing the Website are to be considered confidential information. Information shall not be considered
confidential if it is already publicly known through no act of DESIGNER.
12. Cancellation
In the event of cancellation of this assignment, ownership of all copyrights and any original artwork shall be
retained by DESIGNER, and a cancellation fee for work completed, based on the prorated portion of the
next payment and expenses already incurred, shall be paid by THE CLIENT.

13. Copy-Protection
THE CLIENT must copy-protect all final art which is the subject of this agreement against duplication or CLIENT
alteration.
