STAGE CUE 1 - All tables and chairs set.
CAST CUE 1:
Lalitha: Already on Stage L, sitting at a table, cup of hot chocolate, and drawing with earplugs on (costume: every day wear, dance).
Hanuman: Sitting kneeling beside Lal watching her draw. As audience starts coming in, he starts watching them with curiosity. Then he moves to
the audience section and starts playing with them (poke, pull, touch, smell, look, play impish without bothering too much). He mixes that with
moving back forth to the stage - rearranging and cleaning the tables and chairs and checking out on Lalitha (costume: white tights, white fitted
vest, mask). As people enter stage, he is aware if them and makes sure they are well settled, acts like a waiter of the cafe. Cleans spilled drinks.
Musician: Already on Stage R, Back, sitting on a stool, plucking away at his instrument with a cup of tea in front. (costume: loose pants, loose
shirt - easy to take off)

CAST CUE 2:
Ravan: Enters (Theatre Entrance) with a magazine he has just picked up outside the cafe and a cup of coffee. Stops by Lal - he knows her. Puts
the mug down. Playfully grabs the sketch, Lal runs after him and gets it back and is pissed. Rav says sorry, pick sup his mug and comments on how
beautiful the woman in the drawing is. Leaves her. Goes to Stage-R and settles down in a chair and starts reading a magazine (costume: casual
daily wear. Red silk sash wrapped around arm as arm band). When J enters looks at her (noise of spilled tea) and Looks at S from time to time.
Catches S seeing him and smiles at her.

Virali: Enters (Theatre Entrance) holding a mug . Goes to Stage-R and settles down in a table, writer - working (costume: casual daily wear)

Sita + Urmila: Enters (Theatre Entrance) chatting and holding a cup each. Urmila spills her tea. Stops by Lal. Exchange glances of appreciation
looking at the sketch. Lal does not even look up. Goes to Stage-R and settles down in a table and continues chatting (costume: casual daily
wear. S has brown silk sash as a dopatta, U has a pink scarf).S checks on Rav, U teases. When Ram enters, U points him out to S.

Ram: Enters (Theatre Entrance) holding a mug . Goes to Stage-R and settles down in a table, laptop, iphone, earplugs - professional - working
(costume: casual daily wear, blue sash, hanging from his pocket). Notices J and U. Looks at J from time to time.
Drummer: Enters, hesitantly. Sets his drums down in Stage-L near Lal. Starts drumming. Han asks him to leave. Lal wants to listen. Han
concedes. DRUMMER STARTS BUILDING at 3:57, REACHES PEAK IN 1 MIN AFTER DARK AND STOPS WITH A
BANG AT 4:00.

in stilling the spirit by shrouding her to stillness.
Earth Spirit: Dancing to escape and to survive, hurt and angry till she surrenders but stands in arrogance as she gets covered.

DRUMMER + HANUMAN (Hanuman mask on): Starts drumming in the dark - pre announcement drumming and enters the Play Area with
Hanuman following him dancing in joy, drunk a little with garlands around his neck with a scroll. They come and gather in the Stage-Center and the
drum stops. Hanuman open the scroll tries to read, turns it up and down.
SOUND CUE 6 - Pre-recorded ANNOUNCEMENT on top of marriage/festivity music in the background

DRUMMER + HANUMAN: Does a final drumming and walks out followed by dancing Hanuman.

HANUMAN: Follows her soon and almost mimics her actions and comforts her - but invisible to SITA. When J drops her gardland he wears it.
When she throws the shoes, he picks them up and arranges them.

AND PLAGES A JUG WITH FLOWERS. HEARS THE MUSICIAN AND PICKS UP THE FRAME AND CREATES WINDOW AND PEEKS OUT.

chair across - criss cross of threads that Urmila and Hanuman plays with as she talks.
