This Factory Engineering Consultancy uses a staged approach

Baseline assessment measurement and issue inventory – a one or two day baseline measurement
carried out to get a good understanding of the set-up and current situation ending with a thorough report and
practical conclusions and recommendations which is discussed with proprietors and factory managers. Included
in this assessment are: energy usage reduction; reduced use of dyes; reduced use of water, alternative use of
steam from boilers; recovering and reusing heat currently wasted from factory flues and exhausts; optimum
storage use and handling of process and ETP chemicals. We offer practical chemical management accompanied
by improvement in occupational factory safety and worker health. Our approach offers a sensible and
responsible way to increase your profit margin using effective environmental management reducing chemical
and dyestuff usage. It reduces the environmental impact of your industrial processes and it reduces your
production costs.

We use an internationally proven approach to improve

productivity with impacts that can be verified by quantifiable
results. It includes:- identifying wasteful hotspots in the factory;

forming implementation teams as part of the ‘Action Plan’ which will specify targets, measurables and ways to
evaluate progress made. The Engineers will also present recommendations as an ‘Energy Report’ for improving
the efficiency of operations, in the form of a high-quality energy audit report including energy used and potential
cost savings, rates of return and pay-back period on equipment financing. We will also assist the proprietors and
managers to select and implement appropriate improvements and investments. The plant and equipment and
processes audited include:-

Support to factories in improving efficiency – One to one consultancy, including training for production
and maintenance managers and supervisors to support the implementation of the Action Plan by the factory’s
own production and maintenance staff. Advice will also be given on how to achieve cost savings and process
improvements and help in implementing some of the recommended changes. It is expected that some
recommendations will be ‘quick low-cost wins’ which will be simple to implement. Implementation of the
medium and long term recommendations may require capital investment from the participating factory.
