All companies follow their own hiring process.

Many companies including MNC's pr

efer written tests as a very first step to scan candidates. This is the simplest
and most inexpensive tools that allows companies to select a few quality candid
ates for the next rounds of their interview process.
The written test format can vary from company to company. It can have multiple c
hoice or subjective questions around programming, aptitude/reasoning, problem so
lving, or combination of any of them. In case of programming, one can expect a g
ood mix of basic C, OOP and algorithm oriented questions.
If you clear the written test, there is usually a one on one interview where 2-3
interviewers question you on your job related skills, experience and abilities.
Depending upon the company process, you may be called for multiple such rounds,
each round being with different set of interviewers.
Once you cross the written test and the one on one interview round, you'll be ca
lled for the Human Resource round. Here you are evaluated on your interpersonal
skills. HR tries to find out more about your personal life, your family backgrou
nd, your aspirations, and expectations from the employers.
Final step is the salary/position negotiation. If you get to this you know that
you are being offered the job and now you have to decide whether to take o r lea
ve it. By: Pranshu 1059 days ago
Why are Multinational Companies in India?
There are a number of reasons why the multinational companies are coming down to
India. India has got a huge market. It has also got one of the fastest growing
economies in the world. Besides, the policy of the government towards FDI has al
so played a major role in attracting the multinational companies in India.
For quite a long time, India had a restrictive policy in terms of foreign direct
investment. As a result, there was lesser number of companies that showed inter
est in investing in Indian market. However, the scenario changed during the fina
ncial liberalization of the country, especially after 1991. Government, nowadays
, makes continuous efforts to attract foreign investments by relaxing many of it
s policies. As a result, a number of multinational companies have shown interest
in Indian market.
Following are the reasons why multinational companies consider India as a prefer
red destination for business:

Huge market potential of the country

FDI attractiveness
Labor competitiveness
Macro-economic stability

Interview types
Companies can often use different styles of interviews throughout the interview

Screening interview: You will have the opportunity to bring life to your resume.
Be ready to talk about your activities, work experience, and achievements. The
focus of this interview is for us to understand your overall experience better.
Behavioral interview: You will be asked questions that will prompt you to tell a
story about your past experiences. Prior to your interview, think about some of
your group projects, accomplishments, activities from which you can share a sto
ry. Keep in mind that the focus of this interview is on you and your accomplishm
ents, not on the group's accomplishments.
Case interview: You will be given a situation in which you will be asked to prio
ritize, analyze, and ultimately draw conclusions and/or recommendations. The foc
us of this interview is to explore your problem-solving and analytical abilities
.
On occasion, these interviews may be conducted over the phone. It is important t

around the world.
Learning doesn t stop when you walk out of the classroom, however. Our global lear
