The area at Ostia where to host the Open Water Swimming has been
identified. The OWS course is foreseen to be trapezoid shaped for a
total lap length of 2,500 mt, to be repeated 2 or more times.

The Roma09 Opening Ceremony will be a great event due to remain in the
memories of Athletes, Teams, Officials, Partners and Spectators as the most
important and spectacular Opening Ceremony ever organized for the FINA
World Championships.
We have just launched the bid for the Organization of the Opening Ceremony.
The prices for the Ceremonies tickets will be in a range of 100+ euro.

According to P&P, a Pool Car service (T2) will serve the following
categories:

A shuttle service between Hotels and Venues, will work for 18 days with

We are providing each user with dedicated Username and Password.
Transmission of the nominal accreditation requests as detailed in the
Accreditation section of the website. From 11th March for

VISA
VISA PROCEDURE
Roma09 OC will collect participants data from the Accreditation process. The mandatory
information are the following:
- Family and Given Name
- Date of Birth
- Nationality ( Passport country of issuance)
The accreditation deadline is the June 18th 2009. All FINA members who need a Visa
should apply for accreditation not later than May 20th 2009. Roma09 OC will forward
this list to the Italian Consulate/Embassy. The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will
indicate a contact in each Italian Consulate/Embassy to facilitate the VISA request.
Terms of the Visa request process:
1. VISA Applications can be made once the ROMA09 OC has sent the list to the
competent Italian Consulate/Embassy abroad.
2. In any case, the Schengen Visa will not be issued before April 1st 2009 (3 months
before the arrival)
3. This special Visa will last from June, 17th 2009 to August 17th 2009
4. ROMA09 OC will provide the Schengen VISA free of charge
