Product Strategy: Compare & Analyse a product taking into account the capabilities in terms of
engineering[compatibility with different O.S platforms-Solaris/Linux/AIX/HP-UX], production [compatibility with
existing PROD applications], distribution of the product [to all systems handled by unix team] and time to acquire
them (license/cost/location restrictions). Product is selected coping up with the customers expectations.
Product Design: Product design varies w.r.t different O.S platforms. Each design prototype [in Visio flow-charts] is
tested on development and UAT systems, before implementing it on production
Product Introduction: Email notification of the new product is circulated to all teams involved and different
opinions are collected. Product specific training is provided to admins, developers and end-users on a weekly basis,
until all users are trained. Alpha-testing and Beta-testing output are incorporated into the prototype until the product
is finally accepted.
Product Operations: Product is deployed on Production with a 1-month monitoring period [Go-Live

superblocks to replace corrupted superblock.

collate and process to be sent to Bangalore for onward processing. This Server uses iBOLT integration software for
getting images from CCTV which are located in different places in Mumbai and Solstice X.25 for WAN connectivity.
• Another Enterprise Server E3500 to work as Operation Server for the local branch. This server uses A1000
Disk Storage Arrays for Storage of Data’s and two D1000 Disk storage for O.S Mirroring and Storedge-L180 tape
library for Backups.
• The A1000’s are configured with RAID MANAGER 6.22 with RAID5 and RAID 0+1 and the are mirrored
usingVERITASVOLUMEMANAGER3.2.
• My role as a Project Lead along with two Engineers is to install hardware and software, Test and Implement
customer application software to finish against time and cost budget. Wrote Project documentation detailing the
